"Check-in was a problem. When I got there and called to check-in the person I talked to said that my card had been declined and that I owed $30 some more and wanted me to give card information. I said that I had a printed confirmation in my hand from Trip.com that stated that it had been paid. After about 15-20 minutes and after I had given the booking confirmation number, the lady put me on hold and came back and said it was fine and gave me the room code. Otherwise, it was nice."

"Just back from a four-night stay at Primland with our kids (6 and 8) - and it exceeded expectations. This place quietly works extremely well for families. Highlights: • Indoor pool open to kids 24 hours = huge win • Fairway Cabin: spacious, comfortable, ideal for a family • Hiking trails: beautiful, easy, and actually kid-friendly • Stables dinner: standout meal + atmosphere • Game room at the Stables: exceptionally well done What really stood out was the staff. Warm across the board, with special thanks to Isaac (ropes course) and Autumn (Stables), who went out of their way to engage and teach our kids. Big picture: Primland feels underrated as a family destination (at least with families from Charlotte) - but likely not for long, especially with more dining and outdoor pools coming. Two quick notes: • Concierge is tucked away, and the front desk won’t assist, just redirects. Not ideal if you plan on the fly like I do. Maybe this is temporary. • Observatory is allegedly incredible, but not accessible for younger kids. A short pre-session intro for families would be a great add. Overall: we’d absolutely return. Luxury, outdoors, and kid-friendly without feeling like a kid resort."
