The hotel/resort is located very close to Mae Kampong. While it’s possible to enjoy the surroundings, having your own transportation is highly recommended for easier movement. We visited in January, and the weather was beautifully cold and refreshing. The overall atmosphere truly feels like a return to nature, complemented by a strong Japanese-inspired design concept. I loved the thoughtful touches in the smallest details, which really helped create lasting memories. The breakfast was also absolutely delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Special mention must go to the staff — 100% credit to their efforts in making the stay memorable. There are small table games placed around the dining area and even inside the rooms, which added a fun and cozy element to the experience. For those considering a stay here, it is highly recommended. If you don’t have transportation, you can contact the hotel in advance as they are able to help arrange transfers.✨

A little corner of Japan nestled in the dense, green vegetation of northern Thailand. It was our first time staying in a traditional Japanese establishment, and I must say I was very pleased. An experience definitely worth repeating, thanks also to the unique and always helpful staff. Thank you, and see you next time.

With the help of the host from this glamping site, we rented a sedan from them to drive us from Chiang Mai airport to this location. It was very remote, and we are happy the host has such service. We are fully aware of the location, it is also the reason we came here to rest after 7 days of Bangkok trip. We were also very surprised the cleanliness of the site, there is not mosquitos or any other small insects around the camp site, which we were well prepared for that but we are very happy with the environment without worrying this. They must have done a lot of control to come to this state. Thank you! Service is very good, they have golf car to drive us to the restaurant where we can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dinner they will offer pizza or mookata, guess everyone will order this. We stayed at the Kissing star for 2 nights, first night we bought street food from MaeKampong for our dinner, second night we had Mookata, frankly speaking their food is not expensive too, we can hardly finish their whole set for 2 persons. As for their facilities, I think the pictures are self explained. they have marshall soundbar, enabled Netflix, youtube etc, so that one can really rest in the room, listening to the nature and watching tv. Their host can be communicated via whatsapp too, so just tell them anything you need, they will try to help. I love their hospitality even in such remote area but still trying to offer us the best!!!

ที่พักดีสะดวกสบาย สะอาด ที่นอนดี ห้องน้ำแยกห้องสุขา ห้องอาบน้ำ อาหารเช้าโอเคร เรือนทานข้าวติดกับลำธารบรรยากาศดีมากๆ ในห้องพักมีกระจกบานใหญ่สำหรับคุณผู้หญิงแต่งหน้าแต่งตัวสะดวก แต่อยากให้มีรองเท้าใส่ในบ้านเตรียมไว้ให้ เพราะดึกๆอากาศเย็นเดินแล้วเย็นเท้า ที่ชอบอีกอย่างมีน้ำดื่มทานฟรีให้เป็นสิบขวดและน้ำอัดลมแช่เย็นดีมากๆ มีมาม่าคัพเพื่อหิวทานฟรีเช่นกัน ทางที่พักใส่ใจดีมากๆ พนักงานก็น่ารักดูแลดี ตินิดนึงที่ทำเล ที่พักติดถนนข้ามไปก็เป็นลำธาร แต่ไม่มีที่นั่งเล่นส่วนกลาง ถ้ามีจะดีมากๆเลย

Het hotel ligt wat afgelegen in de heuvels, maar het uitzicht vanuit de kamer is werkelijk prachtig en de moeite waard. We kwamen om 21:00 uur aan en de keuken was bijna gesloten, maar ze waren zo vriendelijk om ons toch te laten bestellen en te dineren. Het eten was heerlijk! Er zat een enorme spin in onze kamer toen we binnenkwamen. Ik heb het personeel via WhatsApp om hulp gevraagd. Ze hebben ons geholpen om de spin snel te verjagen. Echt top! De kamer was redelijk schoon, maar de details lieten te wensen over. De jacuzzi was heerlijk om te gebruiken 😆 Het was super ontspannend om naar het prachtige uitzicht te kijken met het rustgevende geluid van de jacuzzi. Ik kreeg een zak popcorn als bedankje met een mooie tekst op de verpakking. Dat was heel attent en ik voelde hun oprechte intentie. Dankjewel!

We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad in Mae kampong in Chaiyaphol. Het hotel ligt op de top van Renton, een fantastische rit op een scooter. Onze kamer lag naast de rivier en we hadden de natuur voor de deur. Ik zou dit hotel aanbevelen aan mensen die geen vijfsterrenbadkamer nodig hebben, omdat het een landelijke uitstraling heeft en de kamer klein is, maar de nabijheid van de natuur is zeer de moeite waard. Ook zijn de maaltijden uitstekend bij het ontbijt en het diner, en de gratis rit om 's ochtends naar de zonsondergang te kijken was spectaculair.

Morning Thanthong Chiang Mai is a charming retreat with clean and spacious rooms, ensuring a comfortable stay. The highlight is the serene river stream right in front of the hotel, creating a peaceful ambiance. De ingang is erg diep in het hotel en er zijn veel insecten, maar het personeel is vriendelijk. De ingang is een beetje eng en er was niemand bij de receptie om in te checken; we moesten roepen om hun aandacht te trekken. De kamer zelf was over het algemeen prima. Google Maps geeft de exacte locatie niet weer; je moet helemaal naar het einde van het steegje lopen. Het ontbijt is eenvoudig: rijstpap, koffie, brood en gebakken eieren.
