What truly makes this place special, however, is the host. Suhuku turns a simple stay into a real experience. From the warm and refreshing welcome drink to her thoughtful advice on planning our volcano hikes, she made us feel immediately at home. The real highlight was Suhuku’s taxi service. She not only drives you, she creates an experience: taking us to the trailhead for our hike, picking us up at the onsen afterward, bringing us to a neighboring village for dinner, and even collecting us after the restaurant—all along beautiful panoramic routes. There is no rushing—she clearly takes pride in showing the beauty of the island. Another unforgettable moment was breakfast, where we enjoyed a spectacular view of Mount Fuji—simply breathtaking and the perfect way to start the day. This level of care and individuality made us feel like VIP guests throughout our stay. Suhuku’s Moana Hotel is an absolute insider tip—we would highly recommend it and would definitely come back."
