"Extremely unfriendly reception - older lady really poor customer service. The basin water outlet (plug hole) in the bathroom was broken so 2 people came to look finally two hours later a plumber. In the meantime asked us if we’d like another room it would be €15 (and smaller room) . Small room, air conditioning unable to switch off or manage temperature as lowest setting was 23 deg on a very hot day! No extras such as a safe, small bar fridge, kettle or cupboard. The room smelled as if carpet still had stale smoke smell, although non smoking room. No mention of South Tyrol Guest Pass on check in. Breakfast mediocre. I would not recommend."

"Hotel Tyrol is a welcoming 3-star hotel located in the center of Ora. Its location makes it ideal for visiting attractions such as Lake Caldaro and the nearby Dolomites, as well as a starting point for excursions to Bolzano, Bressanone or Vipiteno. The room we chose was elegantly furnished and had a view of the mountain ranges. The books made available to guests were particularly appreciated. The hotel offers a rich breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheeses and a variety of breads. The dessert department could probably be improved. Strudel or some regional or local dessert would have a little more character. The cleanliness of the rooms is impeccable as is the information/advice provided by the staff."
