"I booked a fairly large room on the second floor with a view of the church and street across the street. The furniture and curtains felt a bit old-fashioned, which I didn't like. The floorboards also creaked when I walked on them. On the day of check-in, they said the elevator was broken and didn't help with my luggage; luckily, I tried the elevator myself and finally got it upstairs. The breakfast was decent, with a buffet of drinks, bread, yogurt, and snacks, and you could also order eggs and a full English breakfast."

All that was provided on a boiling hot day was a pathetic fan that you could feel 4 feet away, even on highest setting. I had to give up and book into the ibis instead, eventhough it meant me losing the amount I paid"

"Wat leek op projectielkots werd niet goed schoongemaakt in de naar de stoel getrapte lift. Ik verwachtte niet veel van een budgethotel, maar ik verwacht wel schoon. In de ochtend moest ik naar de receptie om een ​​nieuwe handdoek te vragen, omdat we er maar 1 hadden gekregen. De douchekop kon niet worden aangepast en de badkamervloer stond binnen enkele minuten onder water. Je kon me niet betalen om daar nog een nacht te blijven. "My experience with this branch of Premier Inn is a mixed one. Not good and not bad. While staff to customer relationship is reliant on the individual, the reception was welcoming however I observed limited attention on customers during check-in time with one staff managing to check-in a que of bookers until another staff rushed in to provide support. It would be more efficient to have self-service check-in open to bookers 10-15 minutes prior to check-in time and adequate staffing during check-in times to minimise delays and fustration. The location of the hotel is strategic for its marketing being at the centre of the city and other toursit attraction sites including transport links. My experience which the hotel would have to look into and address is the allocation of rooms meets the needs of the booker, safety, inspection of cleanliness in particular dusts and that maintenance of corrugated or rusty equipment are attended to. My booking was for an accessible room and the bed provided was well below the height required. Although impossible to meet the needs of everyone's bed size based on height, beds with adjustable height would adequately meet such demands. The hotel provided beddings with stains all over them including the blanket and protective cover while two of the pillows had body odour on them. Windows built to be not open while am air-condition was provided. This set up does not meet the ventilation needs of the bookers and the health implication of such building must be taken into consideration. The room also had two doors: one to gain entry into the building and the other is located in the middle of the room links to another room. I find this arrangement unsafe and such rooms should only be allocated to families or bookers known to one another. An attacker or intruder could have access to my room without my knowledge. It was worrying and a source of concern that the hotel decided to make such a room allocation. I was unsure of the staff being employed by premier inn as the uniform differed from the purple I have known. There were those in blacks and some in white and blacks. Bookers may have unknowingly provided information to anyone without realisation they are not employee of the hotel. There was water left in the kettle and accumulated dirts and dusts on almost every surface including the TV, stool, doors, curtain, walls, stains on walls, chipped wall, rusty soap handler and switch. Doors making noises when shut is another nightmare which needs attention for the comfort of bookers who require a pleasant stay and quiet night. This branch definitely requires thorough inspection of its safety policies and maintenance of infrastructure."

Travelodge Nottingham Riverside Hotel

"First visit to Travelodge Nottingham Riverside. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location. Close to the city and shops. The interior of the hotel is quite dated but my room was in better condition than the reception/entrance. I had not stayed in a Travelodge for sometime and was surprised by the early check-in charge and also limited free wifi to only 30 minutes per day. The room was comfortable. However a low hum from the industrial estate nearby was a constant throughout. However my room was at the front so might be different elsewhere. The bathroom was fine but the shower drain did have a slight smell. The TV also only had a few of the freevirw channels. But you could use SmartView from your phone. My stay was only one night and comfortable enough. The staff are the highlight and if you can get a room for less than £50 per night then it is fine for a night or two."

"I arrived in the evening around 7.30pm after a table tennis event and was greeted warmly by the owner. He was friendly and quickly sorted my room out.. The room was very clean and tidy as described and the wifi was sound. Although there were other guests staying at the hotel, everybody was considerate and kept the noise a minimum. The bed was comfortable, hence I slept really well. The full English breakfast was very nice in a copy dining room for 18 people. Overall, my single room was value for money and I knew exactly what I was getting. I only saw one member of staff and I guess it was the owner, who made my stay a welcoming one. I couldn't take photo outside as I arrived at night and I had to rush off early in the morning."
