The hotel was beyond expectations, very clean and smart with great facilities. The staff were very kind and helpfull and the breakfast was delicious, a great plus to have coffee. The view was beautiful especially from our bathtub room, when the fog breifly cleared but I don't expect them to control the weather. Our host helped us with a plan to visit all the temples which we did. I couldn't ask for anything better.

We stayed at Jiuhuashan Alley Homestay (Huachengsi Branch) with our family, and it was without question one of the most satisfying accommodations we have experienced in recent years. From the very beginning to the moment we checked out, everything felt thoughtful, well-organized, and genuinely welcoming. Even before our arrival, the host proactively contacted us via WeChat to confirm details and assist with planning. Communication was extremely smooth and responsive — no matter what time of day we had questions, we always received quick and helpful replies. For a destination like Jiuhua Mountain, where logistics and routes can feel overwhelming for first-time visitors, this kind of support makes a huge difference and immediately puts you at ease. The room itself exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, bright, and very comfortable, with a layout that worked perfectly for a family stay. Unlike many homestays that feel cramped, this room had plenty of space to relax, unpack, and truly rest. The bedding was clean and soft, and the overall atmosphere was calm and quiet, allowing us to sleep extremely well. Housekeeping standards were excellent — everything felt carefully maintained and spotlessly clean. One of the highlights of our stay was the afternoon tea, which was freely available and not limited or rushed. This wasn’t just a symbolic offering; it was something you could genuinely enjoy at your own pace. Sitting down in such a peaceful environment with tea and snacks after a day of sightseeing was incredibly relaxing. It added a sense of warmth and hospitality that you don’t often find, especially in scenic-area accommodations. Throughout our stay, the host remained available and attentive without ever being intrusive. Whether we needed advice on sightseeing routes, dining recommendations, or small practical help, everything was handled patiently and efficiently. Situated near Huacheng Temple, the homestay is in a quiet area that feels removed from crowds, yet it’s still very convenient for visiting key temples and attractions. Evenings were peaceful and silent, which is exactly what you want after a full day at Jiuhua Mountain. The surrounding atmosphere perfectly matches the calm and reflective nature of the destination. What impressed us most was the overall sense of being well taken care of. This is not a place where service is performative or scripted — it feels sincere and consistent. From the communication, to the comfort of the room, to the little details like afternoon tea and thoughtful guidance, everything worked together to create a genuinely memorable stay. In summary, Jiuhuashan Alley Homestay offers not only comfortable accommodation, but also warmth, reliability, and peace of mind. A truly exceptional stay on Jiuhuashan I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands. I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of. During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service. But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing. This was not a tourist activity. It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries. My conclusion: This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

此行朝拜五台山、普陀山、九華山，一路所遇客棧都很好，但唯有這家堪稱“人生客棧”，實為多年旅宿體驗中的最佳，值得力薦！ 客棧24年開業，設施嶄新潔凈，花灑水流充沛，洗澡體驗💦超棒！地理位置極佳，處於核心區域，步行至祇園寺僅約700米，距九華街也非常近。 服務尤為超羣： 不僅提供景區範圍內的全程接送（電話隨打隨通），在近40℃的酷暑中，這份便利至關重要！老闆娘更是大氣周到，冰鎮飲料、水果、茶水頻繁主動地送至房間，消暑解渴，體貼入微。 素食體驗很驚喜，初看菜單素食很少，本不抱太高期待，結果每道菜都很驚艷，強烈推薦油燜茶樹菇、清炒水芹菜、家常豆腐。 我會再來，也會推薦朋友來，感謝老闆周到大氣的服務，希望生意興隆越來越好。

The hotel is located a stone throw away after alighting from the tourist bus at the entrance to scenic area (50RMB to n fro the foot of the mountain). Had already chatted with owner on WeChat n he fetched me after I alighted . Room is clean and functional . Am an easy traveller and very satisfied with the hotel. Of course you can walk around and look for a hotel (there are many many hotels !!!!!!) but I think if u pre book u will make your life easier especially if u have a luggage. He planned the itinerary for me. and it was a very fulfilling walking trip in nature visiting temples and paying respects to 地藏菩萨 . So many restaurants too!!!!!!!! He even sent me to the bus station . Thank u He is a kind soul . He quickly called me when he see me walking in “wrong direction” when actually i wanted to visit the temple next to bus stop . 酒店出行方便，房間寬敞整潔，床品衞浴都是蠻新的，房間打掃得挺乾淨的，一點沒有異味，這點非常好！我住的這間房窗子比較小，這樣也有好處，外面的濕氣霧氣不會進來，住在山上，房間被褥容易潮濕！前台小姑娘態度非常好，還給我規劃出行路線👍，退房那天酒店有車可以把行李送到下山口，省得我們來回跑了👍，總之還是很滿意的

This is a nice place to put up for a night or 2 or even longer. The location is ok but the flight of stairs up to the reception and the room is not too fun if you have big and heavy luggage. Apart from this everything is lovely. Room is clean and the beds are comfortable. I love that the room is very bright. The toilet is fully automated. Shower water pressure is good too. We had noodles for lunch there and they are yum! Breakfast is simple but delicious. I think you can ask for seconds (we did not as we were rushing to go out). There is a convenience store just right opposite and along the way, plenty of eateries. Call them and they will pick you up from Julong hotel and drop you off there too when you check out. I don’t mind staying here again but only if I have a small bag.

The location of this so ideal for me. It was very peaceful and the room was facing the DiZhang Bodhisattva. I could do my prayer, meditation and connect with DiZhang Bodhisattva daily. The recption is friendly and helpful. The furnishing and the resort hotel facilities were old. The sound proof of the room was poor as you could hear some guests were talking and shouting. But luckily it was a low season. Local Chinese will flood these areas duing the Labor day (01-03 May) and their National day (01-07 Oct). Please avoid visiting duing these periods. High speed rail - Jiuhuashan station just completed. Use this station to access Jiuhuashan. Less than 30min to reach Jiuhua Mountain Dayuan Culture Park (九华山大愿文化园). Highly recommend to stay around the 九华山风景区柯村新区.

De baas is bijzonder goed, zeer gezellig. De nabijgelegen baas zal de auto nemen en meenemen. Hij hoeft niet om andere attracties te vragen. Hij zal de baas altijd online raadplegen. De baas zal u de route vooruit plannen. Ik weet niet waar de baas onmiddellijk antwoordt. De baas is erg bekend met de grond, erg enthousiast, en de zaken van de baas zijn erg goed.
