"Never book with Agoda travel Agents NEVER. We booked at this guesthouse while traveling thru Agoda, the guesthouse replied immediatly that they are fully booked, Agoda ignored the email, and still debit the amount from bank card, we arrived just to find out they fully booked, we were stranded and had to drive in the middle of the night to our next destination. Since the 28 of March 2026 we try to get a refund from Agoda with no luck. I went on facebook and there are litteraly 100 and 100 of people that lost money to Agoda due to this bad service. So please dont make the same mistake and loose money to Agoda scammers. Booking never took place because fulle booked, but i paid for it. Invoice attached"

"2023 I visited this hotel with my mom and a few of my siblings. The location is amazing, the hotel rooms are also very clean and spacious with great stuff and it’s a very quiet space because of this past experience I decided to book my mum for two days in winter 2025. My mum has been sick so the doctor advised her to rest and get some sauna and since the hotel claims to have if we thought it be convenient for her to stay. It’s currently winter in South Africa and yet the were no gowns in the room this really upset me because I am not even in South Africa now I have to call for that request while I’m busy. I am truly disappointed at these two points."

"The guest house itself was comfortable, clean, and well located to Grey College, where we had sport/culture on. A special mention to Juan, who assisted us fantastically throughout our stay — his service and friendliness were truly appreciated. There were, however, a few disappointments. The electric blankets on the beds had cables that were too short to comfortably reach the wall plugs. This meant that while our upper bodies stayed warm, our feet were ice cold during the night, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The biggest disappointment was breakfast on our last morning. Breakfast service starts at 7:00, and when we arrived at 7:15 before leaving for the airport, we were informed that one of the staff members responsible for preparing breakfast had not arrived. We had already paid for breakfast in advance, yet were told that no breakfast would be available. There were cereals and muffins available, but considering the amount paid for breakfast, this was not what we expected. Unfortunately, we had to leave for the airport hungry. Despite this, we still appreciated the hospitality and especially Juan’s excellent service. With a bit more attention to these details, the experience could have been outstanding."

The water tastes like it’s from a dam down the road. I am not happy at all. A litre of still water costs R70 what is that. Please fix your water machine or stop overcharging guests for water."

"Ik heb een nacht doorgebracht in dit hotel met een familie. Ik heb gevoelens over het gemengd. De kamers waren schoon en goed, met een mooie badkamer. Het binnenste van het hotel is mooi. De dakbar en de eetkamer zijn goede instellingen. Maar mijn ontevredenheid kwam tijdens de maaltijden op. De dranken duurden een tijd om te komen nadat we bevalden, ook al was de plek niet druk. Dit was verwarrend omdat de dranken die we bevolen hadden niet lang zouden duren om te bereiden (bijvoorbeeld een pot van zachte drank of bier). Tijdens de maaltijden vonden we dat we bepaalde dingen niet konden bestellen op het menu, omdat de keuken niet genoeg voorraad had van het verlaten. We vonden dit pas na het bestellen en moesten nog eens naar het menu kijken."

"It took a while to find this place.. and I was expecting to find a normal house with rooms, but we drove up a long drive and found a huge place. The entrance was big - like walking into someone's living room. It was lovely and the kind lady behind reception gave us a warm welcome after a long long drive. We were shown to our room , which like reception, was huge!! A studio with a large and super comfortable bed, a kitchenette area complete with a small fridge, and a tea/coffee station. There was a small seating area with a sofa and a few comfy chairs and the bathroom had a large walk-in shower with good pressure.. Breakfast the following morning served in the dining room all nicely laid out and so we were ready for our onward journey We enjoyed our stay albeit for one night with much needed sleep and slept like logs.."
