"We only stayed 2 nights, wish it had been longer! Ian was very welcoming and advised us where to eat. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. Location was really quiet, yet within easy reach of Rothbury on foot. There were good views over the town. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, all freshly cooked."

"We had a warm welcome at this beautifully situated riverside pub. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food and drink were excellent and our room was warm, quiet, comfortable and clean. The bar was used by local people as well as visitors from further away. There are lots of lovely walks straight from the hotel, and you can also fish for salmon in their own stretch of the Coquet. Our only very minor complaint was that the basin in our bathroom was a bit slow to drain. We'll certainly hope to visit again."

"We hadden een twee nachten verblijf in het weekend, het personeel was erg hulpvol en Christine's dieetbehoeften zouden zijn gehaald als we ze vooraf hadden laten weten. Er was al koffie-vrije thee beschikbaar. Wij werden verteld dat als wij ze hadden laten weten dat ze de nodige dingen voor ons hadden gekregen. Ze gingen uit en kochten vooral melkvrije verspreiding voor de laatste dag. De kamer was comfortabel en, hoewel ik een beetje bezorgd was aan de voorkant van het gebouw, leek er geen verkeersgeluid te zijn. Het enige echte probleem dat we hadden was de onderste trap van de trap, en het zou leuk geweest zijn als het op een of andere manier stond. Christine had ook moeilijkheden met de trap en een tweede hand spoor zou leuk zijn geweest. Misschien had het park een paar potloden kunnen vullen."
