"I visited some years ago and the hotel was tired and dinghy. The hotel however has been completely transformed in 2025 and is now very chic, clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room had been fully renovated with new bed and furniture and the en suite had a double size shower and a bath. The restaurant was bright and modern with some self service for cereal and table service for cooked breakfast. There was ample parking and the adjoining tearoom served a variety of teas and coffees as well as delicious cakes and snacks. The North York moors are just a few minutes drive and Stokesley is the nearest town with good amenities. A great place for a weekend break."

"Het hotel is opzich goed maar het ontbijt is een beetje karig, minder dan we gewend zijn van hotels in Nederland. De kamer is ook aan de krappe kant en heeft bv geen kast om je kleding op te bergen. De badkamer is ook erg klein maar wel heel modern. Wel zaten we aan de achterkant van het hotel wat er dan weer voor zorgt dat je geen last hebt van de drukke doorgaande weg."

"The accommodation was lovely and very clean, the only problem was that the staircase to upstairs was so tiny and steep, it was quite difficult getting my luggages up the stairs. Also I was made to pay a deposit of £50.00 before my code was given to me to unlock the door for entry. I was told that it would be refunded the next day after check out, it's been a week after I checked out but I haven't recieved any refund."
