"Six friends in three cars on a short trip to Le Mans. The hotel was comfortable, the host were very accommodating and breakfast was very good. Hosts try very hard with customer service and nothing was a problem. Would def recommend and go back . Plus we went to a couple of local bars and had a great evening, suitably hung over the next morning but nothing too rash, just enjoying a Saturday night in the town centre, just a very short walk away."

"Upon my arrival at 6:30 PM, there was no one at reception. I met a hotel guest in the lobby who told me to go to the Ibis hotel across the street to complete the formalities. I had booked online, including breakfast for two, and was then informed that this option was no longer available and that the corresponding amount would be refunded to my credit card later! However, it is clearly stated in the hotel that breakfast was discontinued in December 2024. Yet, this option is still listed as valid on the website in June 2025! Furthermore, despite being in a non-smoking room, I noticed a very unpleasant smell of stale tobacco upon arrival. However, the cleanliness of the room and common areas was not an issue. Even though this hotel has been renovated, there has been a decline in service over the years, and some errors on the website remain uncorrected."

"Well, my usual options in Laval being full, new-look Campanile or Ibis Laval Relais d'Armor, and not having had the prudence to book, I took this Ibis Budget for the first time in Laval, I didn't would not assassinate this hotel, like others, unless it is really justified, honestly nothing to complain about the room was correct, as well as the welcome and the breakfast, but hey we are entry level, without pretension, there is just what is needed... For me a stay of one night and two breakfasts and two tourist taxes, in the criterion of this category, it is simple and an addition of 86.80 euros for Wednesday March 20."

"We stayed here for 2 nights in the old chateau whilst on a driving tour of Normandy and the Loire in September 24. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is very nicely appointed and comfortable and in beautiful grounds on the bank of the river. The restaurant is fabulous with a wonderful selection of wines and delicious food expertly cooked and presented and is really the star of this show, we had a wonderful meal here. The breakfast buffet is served in a lounge adjacent to the reception area and was very good. The room we had on the top floor of the very attractive chateau is classed as a superior room with a large comfortable bed, pleasant bathroom and nice views over the river and countryside. The room itself though is far from superior, with curtains hanging off broken rings, chipped paint and plaster and a really poor hospitality tray with paper cups and no cream or milk for coffee and as we encountered a lot in France no ordinary black tea. We wished we had booked the ordinary rooms in the far nicer looking hotel which is a shame as it was a beautiful building that just needs some love and refurbishment. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would stay again just not in the more expensive chateau unless they give it a much needed makeover."

Currently having a new roof completed but needs a lot of maintenance and modernisation on the inside - treacherous stairs to first floor. Generally rather grubby, including bathrooms … Comfortable and clean bed. Good breakfast, dinner make or may not be available. Excellent general store on site. Friendly and helpful owner."

"Enigszins tegenvallend: We kwamen op zondagmiddag aan na een lange autorit. Omdat we 's middags al geluncht hadden, wilden we als diner één (hoofd)gerecht. Echter dat was niet mogelijk: we moesten verplicht het menu nemen van een voor-, hoofd- en nagerecht voor € 53,-. De ober was onverbiddelijk! Na enig soebatten bij een andere ober konden we i.p.v. het nagerecht koffie krijgen. Op de dag van vertrek na 3 nachten stond de koffie toch apart op de rekening, die na onze reclamering er wel van af werd gehaald. Al met al niet zo'n beste zaak, ook omdat er in de directe omgeving geen alternatieve horeca is en vooral ook omdat verderop in de week wel à la carte gegeten kon worden. Het gevolg van dit alles was, dat wij in het hotel alleen maar beperkt hebben tot het slapen en daar niet ontbeten en niet meer gegeten hebben."
