"I stayed at City Lodge Maputo for one night before my flight home, and it was exactly what I needed after three weeks of volunteering in Mozambique. The hotel is modern, clean and very comfortable. The room was spacious, the bed was excellent, and everything was well maintained. After weeks of early mornings, long days at sea and simple accommodation, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The staff were professional, friendly and efficient, making both check-in and check-out effortless. I also enjoyed the restaurant, where I had a delicious meal in a pleasant atmosphere. A special mention goes to the complimentary airport shuttle service. It was punctual, well organised and made travelling to the airport completely stress-free—an excellent service and a great way to end my trip. If you're looking for a comfortable, safe and well-managed hotel before or after your flight, I can highly recommend City Lodge Maputo. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable journey."

"The Hotel Cardoso is sensational in every way, starting with its location and privileged views. The rooms are very spacious and the bed is extremely comfortable. A huge plus for me is that the pillows actually smell fresh—unlike more than half of the hotels I visit. While the room could use a few more power outlets, it wasn't a major issue. The TV is great, with a huge selection of channels and the ability to pair with Netflix, YouTube, etc., from your phone—a feature you don't find in most hotels. The cleanliness is good and the shower is excellent. Everyone at the hotel is very kind and friendly. I’d like to give a special shout-out to the front desk team, as well as Mambo the bartender and Eugênio the waiter, who are both fantastic. Dining & Bar Breakfast: Very comprehensive, catering to all tastes and habits. Dinner: There is a buffet which is quite good, though very expensive. The Bar: Some items are pricey, especially the drinks, but they are sensational. Mambo is truly a master behind the bar. Summary: I felt right at home at Hotel Cardoso. My thanks to the entire staff without exception."

"Ik had een vermoeid verblijf en ik ben hier volledig geschokt door de standaard. “Møbel” is moe oud en gebroken Fridge vriesdroger uitgeschakeld Volledig rustig en grof. Werst deel. De vriesdrogerdeur is niet dicht. Mijn bevroren eten ging allemaal zacht en warm en ik had een hele dag een geweldige rijden. Funky musty geur in het onderste gebied Sliding deur naar balkon gebroken toilet flusht niet boven. Heb je een bucket voor een handmatige flush ? Geen energie op de loungeruimte Oven vol griezelige voedselpakketten onwasbaar. Roaches in de oven 😵 Geen drinkglas in de kamer Geen warm water in de douche. De bovenste badkamer handdouche verbreidt zelfs niet zodat u niet kunt douchen u moet zitten en gebruiken. Ik ben het minste vervelend te zeggen. En hier blijven is eigenlijk de ergste plek waar ik ooit een nacht doorgebracht heb in alle plekken waar ik ooit in geweest ben."

"Hotel is goed gelegen. Inchecken is gemakkelijk en efficiënt met alle details en voorzieningen uitgelegd. Ontbijt is schaars en service is geweldig. Ik was teleurgesteld dat u geen toegang tot een ijzer- en wasservice alleen opent om 7 uur. Wees bereid om bijeenkomsten met gebroken kleding als u nacht komt. Alles wat er nog meer is, is goed in de dozen en het personeel is vriendelijk en respectvol."

"Ik moest naar Hotel Capital om ongeveer 3:30 uur omdat ik het internet moest gebruiken. Mr Carlos me vertelde dat om het internet te gebruiken, ik moest een aankoop maken, die was helemaal goed met me. Maar ik moest alleen maar een urgente e-mail sturen. De heer Carlos heeft mij in de gehele interactie zeer slecht behandeld, zijn antwoorden waren onbeleefd en ontmoedigend, zijn houding was onprofessioneel en ik was zeer teleurgesteld over de manier waarop hij de situatie heeft aangepakt. Op een gegeven moment kwamen andere heren, en zijn gedrag tegen hen was heel anders, veel respectvoller en welkomer, waardoor ik me zeer ongemakkelijk en heel verdrietig voelde. Ik hoorde ook een aantal personeelsleden schreeuwen: “Dit is geen kantoor.” Ik vond het onnodig en ongeschikt, vooral omdat ik slechts een paar minuten nodig had om een urgente e-mail te sturen. Ik betaalde mijn rekening zonder enige vraag. Ik denk dat de heer Carlos zijn klantenservicevaardigheden moet verbeteren, omdat zijn houding onaanvaardbaar was, maar de receptiepersoneel was zeer aardig en professioneel."
