Aphrodite Beach Hotel

"A very nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Our room's air conditioning was a bit slow, largely because the cleaners insisted on leaving the windows/doors to our room open once they'd been in the morning so the day's heat was allowed to penetrate inside. Why couldn't they shut everything after, say, thirty minutes or whatever? Clearing this took more power than the air con units could really muster. A small matter really as we weren't uncomfortable. Breakfast was good enough, fresh eggs, bread, pastries etc. The taverna/cafe was very good, authentic Greek food...and I don't mean waterfront/beach tourist Greek Salad authentic. Very tasty, very basic, good value and plenty of it. Visited by many from outside the hotel, who also used the hotel's pool. Mid day the pool was complete mayhem. Children turned the pool into a warzone running laps, divebombing, lilo fights screaming and shouting. I witnessed hotel guests arguing with pool visitors (non-hotel guests) over sunbeds, and the visitors lying they did indeed stay at the hotel and were Jet2 clients - highly unlikely as they were clearly Dutch! I also noticed visitors removing a guest's shirt and towel from a bed so they could use it, even though visitors are only allowed the use of a small fraction of sunbeds. A really poor experience, and we didn't use the pool area for the rest of the holiday. I brought the matter up with reception who thanked us for mentioning it but stated non hotel guests only used the pool at weekends, but this was clearly not the case. We asked why there wasn't an occasional pool attendant and were told staff were too busy working in the restaurant as they get a lot of outside visitors! We had a hire car and were thankful we hadn't elected to walk into town at night. Steep uphill for the first half mile, and if a warm night then a bit of a hike. Lots of people getting taxis, quite wisely, but Lesvos is a fantastic island with some very lovely places to visit - particularly restaurants, so why not hire a car and do the island justice? To summarise - a good hotel experience, marred by carnage at the pool. If you want the whole island experience then the Aphrodite is perfect, if you want lazy times by the pool with a book while your child plays then check you have ear plugs and your child is a confident swimmer and isn't deterred by groups of other kids racing, bombing, diving, screaming etc etc "

Sappho Hotel

"We are residents on this island and we love going to eressos before the school year begins. We booked a room for three people 4nights.. we made a point that we wanted a bed for my son not a camp bed (he's 185cm). The owner was rude and arrogant telling us to go elsewhere... we stayed that night and fortunately we found a beautiful condo for a better price and much more modern.. apart from the location... this hotel has nothing to offer. I do not recommend."

"Op zich mooie locatie,bedden lagen prima alleen interieur erg verouderd,ongedierte kruipt uit het douche putje dus slippers aanhouden zeker een aanrader,onbijtzaal erg vieze ramen smerig en overal hingen dode vliegen en muggen niet erg smakelijk als je daar je eten opschept.personeel meestal chagerijnig komt denk ik door einde seizoen veel was er al niet meer te krijgen bijv witte wijn of crossaintjes,raar hoor dan rijd het personeel toch maar even naar een supermarkt om het daar in te slaan voor de gasten.ook probeerden ze meerde malen je geld afhandig te maken door te zeggen dat je nog een rekening van drankjes open had staan. trap daar niet in!!"

"We hebben ons eerste verblijf hier net afgerond en we hadden niet meer gelukkig kunnen zijn met de ervaring. We komen regelmatig naar Kalloni om familie te bezoeken, en dit is verreweg het beste hotel in de buurt. De warme welkomst en volledige toewijding aan de dienst weerspiegelden de Griekse cultuur, maar ook het geloof van de broers die het hotel bezitten. Om het uit te bouwen, het eten was uitstekend! Tip: Het strand in het hotel is uitstekend. Als je iets anders wilt doen, rijd dan naar de vader of Xambelia voor andere grote stranden."

Ampoulos Rooms & Apartments

"We hadden een internetsnelheid van 100 bits, we hadden een ontbijt nodig, we hadden een salade tomaten. Er is geen keus meer, maar er zijn omeletten, eieren, brood, recepten bij het ontbijt. Het is goed voor ons om met name roosters te zijn in de kamer, niet in veel hotels, maar in de kamer is er geen kluisje, het hotel is rustig en rustig, het hotel en het enige wat er kan worden gedaan is naar de Pirgi Taverne. We hebben liever een hotel in de buurt van het centrum, de ontbrekende kamer, de kamer werkte, maar de kamer kon eruit zien, de kamer kan eruit zien, de spiegel is er. Het is slecht dat hij zich zo comfortabel uit de spiegel ziet, de kamer op de grond, de innerlijke glazen op de badkamer, de voorzorgsmaatregelen, en het is niet veilig. We hebben een handdoek voor de badkamer, en ik kan zeggen of we een kist tussen de jalousi hebben geplaatst."

Psaros Melinta

"Ik hield van alles over mijn verblijf bij de Psaros. Het is net op het prachtige strand bij Melinta en de kamer was spotloos met een prachtig uitzicht. Het bed was zeer comfortabel en ik sliep echt goed. Alles was absoluut ongelooflijk! Ik dacht dat ik de andere taverne op het strand zou proberen, maar het eten was zo goed hier dat ik niet wilde. Het menu was veranderd en ze maakten elke Griekse gerecht die je konden voorstellen. Alles wat ik had was heerlijk en perfect gekookt, maar de herinnering aan de prawn sasanaki daar zal voor altijd bij mij blijven 🤣 Het is een zeer vriendelijke plek. Hoewel het mijn eerste bezoek was, voelde ik me alsof ik ergens bekend was en ik werd geconfronteerd met een echt welkom zonder te worden gedoofd. Het personeel in de strandbar beneden is ook zeer vriendelijk en ik voelde me volledig gemakkelijk als een solo-reiziger. U kunt ook een watertaxi van het strand naar de prachtige Panagia Krifti nemen. Waarder een bezoek! Ik zal zeker terugkeren, het is de perfecte plek om te ontspannen en te ontspannen en een van de vriendelijkste plaatsen die ik ooit heb geweest om 🧡"
