Super place. Very clean hotel and room. I been backpacking for 2 years, I can't remember a better bed. The breakfast was always on time at 7am and always plenty. I stayed an extra week to practice my Turkish and enjoy the friendly staff and comfort. This I believe will be the cheapest and best hotel in eastern Turkey.

The building itself was nice, reminded me of those dark Russian buildings. Our room was fine but very, very stinky from bleach. I have asthma and was dying inside. There was only one window with the mosquito net so it took forever to air the smell out. We were surprised to hear that they don’t have a restaurant, according to Google they do, so we just walked into town to eat. They do have little tables by the river for drinks only. Otherwise no food. Breakfast was good. My concern was that I contacted this property many times prior to arriving and never received a reply. When we were checking in they looked surprised to see us and asked if we have a reservation… When I showed them the ******* printout they asked how long ago I booked lol. It was like 4 months prior! Does it even matter? We did get a room but staff looked so uninterested that I wouldn’t have been surprised if they sent us away. Overall, not many tourists come this way and it shows.

We highly recommend staying at the Kars Otel. We were greeted by Seda (hospitality) & Metin (very helpful with everything.). Manager Mehmet oversaw that everything was to our liking. Deniz managed our wood burning fireplace daily. Our room was spacious, comfortable & Super clean. Breakfast was full of local yummy treats, staff made great recommendations where to go & made reservations for dining. We were treated well everywhere we went. Thank you for a great stay. We highly recommend Kars Otel.

Hotel center is at walking distance - train station 15-20 minutes walking distance, airport - hotel has 15 minutes of buses from the old gar and the buses can be left to the ski center if you tell the driver that there are buses available and returns from the same place with a shot They'll take you on the tours and what the unit Ani-Çıldır-kafkas museum leads to the day ***and the 300 TRL Hotel rooms are hot, small but not enough for one person, but they don't fear, rooms are very luxurious, but are not so safe as family hotels - Warmen's gentlemen - if you say that Nurbay and Ceyhun have come to walk friends and helpers on all matters and that I should only be a place to sleep and that I should be a place that doesn't force my budget - I would say, do not hesitate.
