In the evening, street vendors filled up the areas surrounding the hotel and you will be spoil for choice of food. Reception is very polite and warm, and allowed us to have a 2 hours late checkout before our flight. We were also given a small memento of chrysanthemum tea and peanuts at check out."

Deze keer verbleef ik in het Atour Villa Area Hotel in de wijk Gulou, en de ervaring was absoluut geweldig, van de service en de omgeving tot de kleinste details – een vijfsterren aanrader!
Het hotel ligt in een villawijk, met een rustige en elegante tuinachtige omgeving. Vanuit de ramen van de kamer kun je het prachtige, glinsterende water van het Longting-meer zien. De nachten zijn zo stil dat je er heerlijk kunt slapen, volledig afgezonderd van de drukte van de stad, en toch heeft het een toplocatie. We kozen een kamer met een balkon, en omdat het sneeuwde, bouwde ons kind zelfs een sneeuwpop!
Wat ons het meest raakte, was de hartverwarmende service van Atour. Van de vriendelijke begroeting bij het inchecken en het proactief aanbieden van warm water, tot de robot die spullen naar boven bracht – handig en veilig – en de verplichting voor gasten om hun kaart te scannen voor toegang, het gaf ons allemaal een enorm veilig gevoel.
Ook het ontbijt was een aangename verrassing. Het restaurant bood een rijke variëteit aan Chinese en westerse gerechten, waaronder dampende, pittige Kaifeng-soep, versgebakken eieren met een vloeibare dooier, versgemalen koffie, vers fruit en verfijnde desserts – een perfecte mix van lokale smaken en een verfijnd ontbijt. Ze hadden zelfs pap die tot laat op de avond geserveerd werd!"

"Super cute lobby, clean hotel, accommodating staff who upgraded me for free to a suite. I had requested a non-smoking room, unfortunately the first room had a strong lingering odour, the upgrade was perfect though! Nice size, very comfortable bed, and a view of the garden. Breakfast was standard and a little disappointing, not many western dishes, however it was what I was expecting. Great location, many restaurants nearby and a 15 minute walk to the night market. Great one night stay."

No. 1 of Premium Hotels in Kaifeng"Voor een paar weken heb ik een trein van Xi’an naar Kaifeng genomen. Deze weekend kwam een koud front binnen. Het maakte niet uit omdat de Gulou nachtmarkt alles had wat ik nodig had om te veranderen. Ik vond een paar verborgen plekken (zoals Bayu Morning Rikaye Alcohol, Lecker’s Leban German Restaurant en Jieyou Grocery Little Bar) terwijl ik het uitzoeken. Het Millenium Park, Gulou Market en Wansui Shan Wuxia City zijn zeer dichtbij. Het hotel is geweldig voor wandelen, en de kamer was echt comfortabel. Het front desk was gemakkelijk te communiceren met ondanks de taalbarrière, en alles zeer efficiënt. Er is een mooie fitnessruimte en zwembad, maar ik was uit te zoeken. Er is ook een shuttle die u naar een paar plaatsen in de buurt kan brengen. Deze eigendom is goed voor conventies of families, maar ik was goed als een solo-reiziger. Eten goed."

"Pleasantly surprised! The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The room was spotless and well-maintained. I particularly appreciated the hotel having its own parking lot with charging stations. What really stood out was that they had already turned on the air conditioning before I even checked in – such a thoughtful and considerate touch!
