"This hotel is just a five-minute walk from Jilin Station and is managed by Shenyang Railway Bureau's tourism division. Overall, it's clean and well-maintained with complete facilities. The decor is quite old-fashioned, which they market as having a 'sense of historical depth.' The building has many floors, so I recommend asking for a higher one to get a good view of Jilin's nightscape. However, upon entering the room, I noticed a strong smell of smoke mixed with something akin to formaldehyde. I'm not sure if it was coming from outside or if the room itself had this odor."

"I only have one thing to say: the front desk staff here – I don't know if they were just pulled from the Heytea next door, but they seemed clueless. I booked a family room for two adults and one child, including ski passes. When checking in, I asked how to get the ski passes, and the guy at the front desk told me my booking didn't include them. After insisting several times, he finally confirmed they *were* included. Then, around 9 PM, just as I was getting ready for bed, the phone started ringing non-stop. I answered, and a female voice asked me: 'Which two names should we put on the ski passes?' I told her I booked for two adults and one child, so there shouldn't be a choice, right? She then repeatedly insisted that their hotel didn't have rooms that included ski passes for two adults and one child. I said I booked it through Ctrip and offered to come down and show her my order if she didn't believe me. Eventually, it seemed she got the original check-in guy to re-check, and they finally figured it out. But then I had to get dressed and go downstairs to register my child's ID. And to top it off, they told me they weren't clear on which rooms included ski passes! So, as a hotel employee, you expect the customer to explain *their own rights* to you, and then you still argue tirelessly? Given the level of competence at this so-called hotel's front desk, I don't need to say more about what the rest of the hotel is like. You all decide for yourselves if you want to book here."
