Hotels in Mauritius met Wifi

As someone who’s traveled around Mauritius quite a bit, I can honestly say Legend Hill Resort and Spa is one of the best new properties on the island. It’s perfect for honeymooners, family vacations, or anyone just needing to disconnect and recharge in a beautiful setting. The combination of incredible location, luxurious accommodations, amazing food, and top-tier service can’t be beaten. We’re already planning our next trip back—10/10 would recommend! 🌟

This resort is an absolute gem! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The views were breathtaking—every glance out the window felt like a postcard come to life. Its location was ideal, offering both convenience and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. The serene, quiet atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway!

Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

Een uniek hotel. Ze hebben geen receptie, maar er is altijd een medewerker aanwezig die problemen snel oplost. Ze zijn erg vriendelijk. Er is geen tv, maar dat is eerder een pluspunt dan een minpunt. Het ontbreken van een koelkast was echter verrassend. Het is er erg warm en als je iets lekkers koopt, moet je het meteen opeten. Als je eten onafgedekt laat staan, kunnen er kleine rode mieren op afkomen. Het restaurant serveert erg goed eten, maar de menukaart is niet erg gevarieerd. We zijn er 12 dagen gebleven en hebben alles verkend. Er zijn geen fatsoenlijke restaurants in de buurt. En hoewel we een auto in de buurt hadden, wilden we 's avonds liever niet rijden. Het bier is uitstekend. Er is een ruime keuze aan wijnen, maar ik ben er geen fan van. De obers in het restaurant zijn zeer professioneel en vriendelijk. Er is altijd koud, plat en bruisend water op het strand. Je kunt er munt en citroen aan toevoegen. Tegen een meerprijs krijg je een kokosnoot met een rietje. 190 roepies (380 roebel). Het fruit is niet erg lekker en wordt grotendeels geïmporteerd. Het strand is fantastisch. We hebben rondgereden en onze indrukken gedeeld. Er zijn weinig mensen en het is er erg rustig. Er zijn prachtige dennenbossen om in te wandelen. Vergeet niet om waterschoenen, zee-egels en koraalfragmenten mee te nemen. We kwamen een dag later aan omdat de luchthaven van Moskou gesloten was. We hadden een kamer met uitzicht op de tuin geboekt, maar ze gaven ons een upgrade naar een kamer met zeezicht, waar we het personeel erg dankbaar voor zijn. We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad in dit hotel.

A big shout out to Aziza at front desk. She is so welcoming and helpful through out my 3 nights stay. It was my friend’s birthday, Aziza upgraded our breakfast to Jade, arranged a birthday cake for dinner. I caught a cold during my stay and went to the hotel clinic to take medicine. When I go back to my room at night I received a get well soon card and a fruits platter from Aziza. Will definitely recommend to all my friends who want to travel to Mauritius.

An amazing hotel right on the water with every room facing the water. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. Beautiful big rooms with lovely balconies. The dinner and breakfast were also really good, with a great variety and a lovely outdoor area to sit at. I do however think the cleaning staff need to take a bit more care when cleaning. We were there for 6 nights and 3 of the nights we had to phone housekeeping because we did not have towels, or we did not get toilet paper, or we did not get our bath robes… and then housekeeping took at least 20-30minutes to bring the items. The other thing was that they put a single duvet into a double duvet - so when you are sleeping there are many times when you only have a sheet and no duvet. Maybe change that. Otherwise I really can’t complain about anything. There are plenty of beach chairs and there were always chairs available and it was an amazing and relaxing place.

De locatie van dit hotel is erg goed, het zeewater is geweldig, het strand naast het hotel heeft veel koralen, veel vissen en de snorkelervaring is erg goed. Maar het hotel zelf is niet goed. De faciliteiten zijn oud en de service is gemiddeld. Het belangrijkste is dat er tot diep in de nacht geen goede muziek wordt gespeeld, en dat is voor de gasten niet mogelijk kiezen of weigeren. Is het niet de eerste prioriteit van een hotel om mensen goed te laten slapen? Ik begrijp het niet. Kortom, dit strand is een echte aanrader, maar dit hotel is geen aanrader.

I had a great stay at Royal Green Resort. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is good if you have a car — about 57 minutes from the airport by car. I would like to thank Vedhna in particular; she was professional and very kind in all her interactions with me.
