De ervaring die we hadden in een andere Riad schepte zeer hoge verwachtingen, dus lees dit met dat in gedachten :) Ik heb in luxe hotels over de hele wereld gewerkt en verbleven, en als je op zoek bent naar een prachtig hotel met prettige service, dan is dit een topkeuze. Over het algemeen waren we echter op zoek naar een meer intieme ervaring. Het personeel was erg aardig; ze waren jong, vriendelijk, aardig en zorgzaam. Toen ik met mijn moeder reisde, voelde het echter erg ongemakkelijk toen me werd gevraagd: 'Hoe ging het met mijn vrouw?!', dit vatte de kloof tussen het hotel en de ervaring samen. Een prachtig hotel, maar net geen 4/5 sterren. Het is een van de meest verbluffende Riads waar je ooit zult verblijven. Het restaurant serveert heerlijk eten en het uitzicht is fantastisch - als je de drie verdiepingen met steile trappen aankunt. Over het algemeen zul je niet teleurgesteld zijn, maar toen we er verbleven, voelde het alsof er geen manager was voor die extraatjes die je verwacht als je zoveel betaalt.

Tucked away in the labyrinth alleys of the Medina, Riad Algila transports one into a world of tranquility & elegance. The riad's meticulously adorned courtyard with gentle tricking of water from the fountain, swaying green trees and intricate tile work serves as a peaceful sanctuary from the bustling city outside. Our 2 day stay was nothing short of enchanting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, adorned with traditional Moroccan decor with modern amenities, provided a luxurious retreat after a day of exploration. The staff always attentive with insightful recommendations, made all the difference to our stay. Riad Algila truly embodies the essence of Moroccan hospitality offering a respite of calm and beauty amidst the vibrant tapestry of Fes.

Zeer mooi gerestaureerde riad. Alles in het interieur is gemaakt door ambachtslieden uit Fez: gebeeldhouwde plafonds, muren en gebeeldhouwde meubels. Prachtig als in een museum, maar tegelijkertijd comfortabel. Uitstekend ontbijt op het terras. Geweldig personeel. Het enige nadeel is dat de medina niet zo gemakkelijk te doorkruisen is. Het is beter om het hotel van tevoren te informeren over uw aankomst, zodat u buiten de muren van de medina wordt opgewacht.

Hotel Sahrai is een prachtig privéhotel buiten de medina en is een goede keuze voor reizigers die buiten de drukte van de oude stad willen verblijven. De voorzieningen waren van topklasse, hoewel de ontbijtselectie en de kwaliteit van het diner verbeterd konden worden. Het hotel ligt op de top van een heuvel en het dak biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de oude medina en de Joodse wijken. Dit is een goede keuze als je veel bagage hebt, aangezien auto's je niet mogen afzetten in riads in de medina.

This riad was excellent in every way. The highlight of our stay was definitely the host, who truly deserves 100 out of 100. He was extremely patient, gentle, and professional, and always willing to help. He gave us many useful and practical recommendations about the city, restaurants, and things to do, which made our trip much easier and more enjoyable. The accommodation itself was also very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful, and we felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We would happily stay here again.

My stay in Fez was truly memorable, thanks to the warmth and professionalism of Hager, the manager. We arrived later than planned, reaching the property at 11 p.m. instead of the expected 9 p.m., yet Hager welcomed us with kindness and patience, making us feel completely at ease despite the late hour. That first impression set the tone for the entire stay. Hager was also incredibly accommodating with breakfast. She kindly arranged breakfast earlier than the usual start time, and it was a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast — fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. It was one of the highlights of the stay and a perfect way to start the day. At the time of leaving Fez, I had arranged my transport independently, but the situation did not go as planned and became stressful. When Hager became aware of this, she went out of her way to help, reassured me, and kindly allowed me to stay at the property during the unexpected delay. The property is perfectly located in the heart of the medina, offering an authentic Fez experience while remaining peaceful and comfortable. The room was clean, well-maintained, and felt welcoming after long days of exploring. What truly stood out was the genuine care and hospitality throughout the stay. Hager’s calm, thoughtful, and supportive approach made a real difference and reflects the high standards of this place. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Fez — not just for the location and comfort, but for the exceptional hospitality you’ll experience here.

Service de navette pour et de l’aéroport proposée par l établissement: assez pratique lorsqu’on arrive tard comme nous. Facturé 25€ (250 dirhams)inclus la majoration de 5€ pour service nocturne. Chambre propre et literie confortable Salle de bain très petite, douche sans bac, l eau coule directement sur le sol et l’eau met pas mal de temps à s écouler par le syphon: pas trop pratique si vous êtes pressés et que vous devez prendre votre douche l un après l’autre rapidement . Le support de pommeau de douche cassé, il fallait le tenir à la main Produits d hygiène a ramener, shampooing non fourni ( difficile quand on voyage avec bagage en cabine pour 2-3 jours) Service de petit déjeuner basique, dommage pour certains produits commerciaux ( olives noires et fromage quiri ) Crepe et brioche préparé sur place, elles étaient très bonne Emplacement parfait , juste à côté d un de suq de la vieille médina Pour manger il y a plein de restos sur place mais ils sont relativement chers car on est en zone touristique Ne pas hésiter à aller manger dans la ville nouvelle, on y va avec taxi pour 2€ par trajet (4€ a/r) Attention: l hôtel affirme accepter la carte bancaire mais nous n avons pas pu régler 170dirham(17€) par carte car commission trop importante . Que les montants élevés sont acceptés ( à prendre en compte si vous payez en fin de séjour et que vous avez l’argent compté) Wifi gratuit , terrasse sympa mais dommage ne pas y pouvoir prendre le petit dej Dans l ensemble séjour agréable et rapport qualité prix correcte

Love this Riad, it is so clean and beautiful inside and the roof top with a nice Panorama view . Before arriving the riad, they sent me an email asking my WhatsApp so they can send me the exact location and so video clips for me to know how to get there since Google map doesn’t work when getting inside the Medina . They said if I really couldn’t find the way, they could pick me up in one of the entrances to the riad. I thought I could find it but I failed so I called them. One of the staff came out immediately and helped me my luggage. The two young staff there are very helpful and friendly. Since I was so late to arrive , so one staff (should be called Abdullah) brought me out again so I can Rmb how to get out and in again next time. The other young staff also brought me where I can find friendly convenient store nearby to get essentials. Love them and so helpful. The breakfast was nice too. The AC inside the Room is good and the water pressure and the heat were good too ! Highly recommend this Riad when u travel to fez next time. Rmb to bring ur amenities since they do not provide any bathing items or toothbrush. Recommend the riad to have a rubbish bin in the room instead of just inside the toilet.

If you’re staying in Fes, I recommend you stay here. Staff are super friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself as a great traditional Moroccan feel. Mohammed et al. made us feel very welcome. The location is great, walking distance from medina mazes. Brilliant stay and enjoyed Fes very much.

Dit hotel ligt in een hoek van het spinnenwebachtige steegje in de oude stad. Het heeft geen borden en slechts een kleine deur. Het is voor normale mensen onmogelijk om het zelf te vinden. Ze kunnen alleen maar wachten tot ze worden uitgekozen op het plein. Het personeel bracht ons naar drie verschillende plaatsen en ze zeiden allemaal dat we geen reservering bij hen hadden gemaakt. Later vonden we een plek waar we een kamer met een eigen badkamer hadden geboekt , het werd een openbare badkamer en hij nam ons mee naar de kamer. Hij rende weg, rende gewoon weg en vroeg ons zelfs om een ​​fooi van 20 dirham. De airconditioner heeft geen afstandsbediening. De badkamer bevindt zich op de hoek van de gang. Het is moeilijk te zien als de lichten aan zijn. Het ontbijt is inbegrepen, maar de persoon die het ontbijt heeft klaargemaakt, arriveerde laat om 9 uur in de ochtend. Boek dit hotel niet.
