Hotels in Shanshan County met Wifi

My first desert camping experience, and I have to thank DUNE Sand Dunes Resort so much! Upon arrival, I was caught by a breathtaking sunset. It happened to be Chinese Valentine's Day, and the romance was practically overflowing from the screen. Entering the room, I was even more astonished. The amenities were as luxurious as a star-rated hotel, completely reshaping my concept of ”camping.” That evening, I sat down with friends for a candlelight dinner. This was the first time I'd had such a satisfying meal in all my time in Xinjiang: homemade sirloin steak, crispy baked buns...all for only 80 yuan per person, and we devoured it until we had to lean on the wall. Unable to sleep late into the night, my friends and I adjusted our camera angles, tested our equipment, and took endless photos of the starry sky. We had a blast. The next morning, we woke up early to watch the sunrise, swinging on the swings until daybreak. The cool morning sand felt so comfortable. A little after 9:00, the host had already prepared a healthy and delicious breakfast, and we had another satisfying meal. When it was time to leave, the host had already booked a car for us, and the host even attentively helped us load our luggage. As the final stop on my Xinjiang trip, this experience was absolutely perfect. Goodbye, Turpan; goodbye, Xinjiang. I will definitely, definitely come back.

Shanshan is a small town and if you do come here, it would be to visit the Kumtaq desert. The desert is 15-20 minutes from the hotel, so is the Shanshanbei railway station. I recommend this hotel because of the service of the front desk staff, Ms Xiaoba who goes above and beyond to help. She was responsive on wechat and organised a car to pick us up, she willingly booked a taxi for as we couldn’t find the address to the night market on our DIDI app., she provided extra water and answered any questions with a smile. This is a new hotel so looks clean and fresh with a smart toilet. They even have tents/ tepees so if you have a kid, this is a welcome. I saw a room with spiderman and Barbie princess theme too. The breakfast has many Chinese options and they are well cooked and delicious. They do have a coffee machine. I’d stay here again if I were to revisit. Kumtaq Desert is worth a visit and the second golf cart/sightseeing mini bus drives you right to the end and brings you back to the second station. The other deserts we visited didn’t have this. We booked on short notice ten minutes before arrival and were absolutely surprised. Despite the language barrier the team of receptionists went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean and have all the amenities one needs for a pleasant stay, and more. We slept very well in the new, comfortable beds. The bathroom itself is bigger than some hotel rooms elsewhere. The real highlight though was the complimentary breakfast we, were offered. Plenty of great food to choose from, coffee and tea. Upon checkout we could store our luggage for free until our train departed. All in all, great value for money and we'd definitely stay again.

This is a very nice hotel in a remote small town of Xinjiang. Everything exceeds my expectations. The room is very large. Although my window view is obstructed by the neon signage of the hotel name, I can get natural sunlight into my room. Everything is new and clean. I didn't experience delay checking in as a passport holder. I was asked a few more questions than other Chinese hotels. This hotel offers 5 free washer/dryer for guests...

Omdat ik een Ctrip-klant was, kreeg ik een kamerupgrade en een gratis ontbijt voor een t****e persoon aangeboden. Hun toon was kortaf en uitdrukkingsloos, waardoor ik het gevoel kreeg dat ik een goede deal kreeg. De kamer was echter van hetzelfde type en dezelfde grootte, alleen op een verdieping hoger, maar de kamer was oud en merkbaar stoffig. De t****e dag was het ontbijt ook niet toegestaan ​​voor een t****e persoon, dus ging ik terug naar de receptie om ernaar te vragen. Uiteindelijk wilde ik er niet meer eten en ze wilden het niet meenemen. Er was een zelfbedieningswasserette en het ontbijtbuffet had een behoorlijke variatie en smaak. De locatie is fantastisch, met tal van restaurants, supermarkten en een versmarkt in de buurt. De kamer is ruim en licht, met een krachtige airconditioning, een grote badkamer en zelfs kledinghangers en droogrekken – erg handig als je de was moet doen. En het allerbelangrijkste: het is betaalbaar, en de eigenaar heeft onze kamer zelfs geüpgraded! Perfect als tussenstop tijdens je reis.
