"The hotel has clearly seen better days. The accommodations are certainly there, but they could use some updating. As a transit hotel, it's perfectly acceptable. Those staying at the front should close the windows (to avoid noise from passing cars). The service is very friendly, and the breakfast is excellent."

We had not booked a table in the restaurant, which was full, understanding we had traveled all day they made room from us. The food was extremely good and the fixed menu for the children was great. The team at Hotel Hermitage made our children’s experience great fun. Next time we would take a detour to stay."

"Good location but bad quality renovation and awfully empty room. Courtyard is beautiful but never met the owner in person. Very noisy room towards the main street, can't close window or else too hot. Didn't feel safe, door was cardboard thin."

"Uitstekend restaurant en treurig makend hotel Het hotel is enorm basic en veel te duur voor het gebodene: twee snoepjes, geen waterflesje, geen mogelijkheid koffie of thee te maken. Het bed was goed, de badkamer te klein. Het ontbijt kon niet armoediger. Het woord ‘basic’ was hier wel van toepassing. Stukje brood, verpakt jammetje en botertje. Smakeloos. Extra opvallend is de kwaliteit van het restaurant. Je komt hier niet om te slapen maar het diner was voortreffelijk. Een nogal opvallend verschil !"

The garden-view room is highly recommended: quiet, air-conditioned, very comfortable, and very clean, overlooking a lovely garden with a small pool and the river. Dinner was excellent, and the service was very professional. It's also located a few kilometers from Nohant, where we took the opportunity to visit George Sand's house."
