Hot Springs-hotels in Noboribetsu

This traditional Japanese ryokan features a private onsen and is located about 8 minutes on foot from the main road with restaurants and 20 minutes from the entrance to Jigokudani (Hell Valley). The interior is beautifully maintained in classic style, with tatami flooring throughout the common areas and guest rooms, which are furnished with comfortable futon bedding. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped with amenities. Anything not already provided can be taken from the selection near the reception. Guests receive a yukata to wear around the ryokan and to the onsen. Complimentary drinks are available at reception, though they request you enjoy them in your room rather than common areas. The gender-separated onsen, while small, has everything needed for a relaxing soak. Each bathing area includes both indoor and outdoor pools, and they alternate daily between men's and women's use. During my stay, it was never crowded. One disappointment was being unable to book the in-room dinner service upon morning arrival, as it was apparently too late to arrange. Those interested should probably reserve at least a day in advance. Overall, it's a comfortable, authentic ryokan experience with superb service and good facilities.

Very enjoyable stay, room was spacious and clean. Good number of hot spring pools and onsen water quality. Dinner was above average (as I had better ones at Kurokawa Onsen), it was nicely presented and the Noboribetsu pork and their sweet wine was especially delicious. Breakfast was slightly above average, just your usual Japanese western breakfast. Lots of variety and taste was okay. The lady that served us was nice and helpful. She kindly explained the dishes and how to enjoy it in fluent English.

The room is simple, but it has everything you need and is very clean. If you’re driving, you can stop in front of the café to unload your luggage, and the staff will guide you to the parking area. It’s a bit far, but still acceptable, especially since you’ll most likely not need to drive again until check-out once the car is parked. You can also use your room card to enjoy free access to the onsen at Dai-ichi Takimotokan across the street. Dai-ichi truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best hot springs. Just step out of the hotel and you’re already in the onsen street, and Noboribetsu Hell Valley is within walking distance as well. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. I would definitely choose this hotel again the next time I visit Noboribetsu. The photo shows the view from the hotel’s main entrance. It is located directly opposite Dai-ichi Takimotokan.

De locatie is erg handig. Het afleverpunt van de bus ligt op 30 meter van het hotel. Het ontbijt en diner van het hotel worden ten zeerste aanbevolen vanwege hun verscheidenheid en de uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding! De hotelkamer is groot en schoon, en het bedienend personeel is beleefd en vriendelijk. De warmwaterbron van het hotel is ook goed.

The hotel seems to be renovated with good wifi coverage, and there is a smart tv in the room which one can log into Netflix account. The bedding is thin, so one will feel the floor when lying on it. Dinner may not be the most impressive, but still good value at the price point they are charging.
