Basingstoke Hotel ★★★★

"Op aanbeveling van een gezinslid , 1e kamer op de grond was klein, koud en had een gebroken vensterhandleiding die de kamer onveilig verlaat. We vertelden het ontvangstpersoneel dat vroeg of we wilden verhuizen , we verhuisden naar een "upgraded" kamer op de bovenste verdieping die veel beter was, omdat we 3 nachten verbleven, we de verhuizing welkom. Kan niet opmerken over het zwembad omdat we het niet gebruikten, aangezien we betaald hadden voor 3 nachten accommodatie, zie ik niet waarom ik zou moeten betalen om het zwembad en handdoeken te gebruiken! De bar was oké, maar soms moet je wachten op iemand om te komen en te dienen, de bar is ook gesloten om 11 uur, of je nu verblijft of niet. Geen automatische kamerservice moet je vragen. de kamer te schoonmaken en te verse handdoeken enz.  Veel andere hotels in de buurt dus denk niet dat we terug zouden komen"

"Hotel was huge, couple of things that really disturb me: 1. Toilet were old and it stinks of damp 2. There were no window to open for fresh air evening time it really gets hot the room needs fresh air to circulate, I had to open the doors to get fresh airs. 3. The most disturbing thing that occurred when there were cleaners and other stuff came in the room without knocking the door there were no display to put outside when the room was occupied I stayed there for 2 nights the stuff just gets in with their master keys. Very unprofessional. 4. There were no bottles of water at the table normally when I enter most hotels there was water but this one there were nothing. 5. Make sure you bring along your charger for your mobile, normally hotels have USB this days. Other then that receptionist was friendly to give her charger."

"A pub with no direction dosent know if a pub or a restaurant Loads of unhelpful staff poor food quality and dry when partner ask about the the staff well that’s wot you asked for and walked off and that was it never will we return plenty of other places in the area"

The Winchfield Inn ★★★

"A very friendly welcoming establishment. Wife and I regularly visit and meet other friends. A quiet country pub and hotel opposite Winchfield railway station. Early evening, usually very quiet. Drinks fine and good varied if not large menu. Menu specials vary a lot and are a pleasant surprise. Food well cooked and tasty. Always served piping hot and on hot plates. This place is a jewel. Don’t know about the accommodation but expect just as good"
