"We used the travellers inn as we wanted to see the grisdale tarn and we needed to a room to stay after the sight. They allowed us to store our luggage at the inn as our check in was at 3pm. The rooms were clean and it overlooked a farm area with lots of sheep. The room had an aesthetic look and there was tea satchets we could have as well. The staff were kind and wonderful. The rooms had the britain charm you see in old english movies. If you love sheeps, kind people, good food and 80's british aesthetics- then this place is just for you. We loved our stay here."

"Two night stay over New Year with our two young dogs. The Lake View was a perfect option - great location just a couple of minutes walk to Grasmere Centre. Breakfast taken at the Good Sport with the same owners, very helpful staff and good quality breakfast options. The Lake View itself had everything you could want for a relaxing peaceful staff. The management was hands off/off site I.e. everything: keys, additional towels, blankets, cofffee tea supplies etc available to take as needed. Communication and information all to hand. Contact numbers and all clearly to hand. Finally, everything needed for a ‘doggy stay’ was thought of.m and completely de-stressed."

"Lovely location with views along the valley from the room, the champagne afternoon tea was not the best..no sandwiches..too many cakes with the scones dry..probably frozen. The dinner was ok !!!warm food..but breakfast was abysmal had much better in the Premier Inns. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, overall understanding that it’s winter in the lakes it was pleasant."

"We gebruikten de kamers voor de reis naar de grisdale-tarna en we moesten naar een kamer om na de uitzichtscampagne te blijven. Ze lieten ons onze bagage opslaan in de kamer, terwijl onze check-in was om 03:00 uur. De kamers waren schoon en het uitzicht op een boerderij met veel schapen. De kamer had een esthetische look en er waren theezakken die we ook konden hebben. Het personeel was aardig en prachtig. De kamers hadden de Britse charme die je in oude Engelse films ziet. Als je van schapen, mensen, goede voedsel en 80 Britse esthetica houdt, dan is dit voor je."

"This hotel in the Lake District is absolutely excellent. It boasts a beautiful setting and is conveniently located within walking distance of the famous poet's former residence. Parking was easy and convenient. The town itself is very peaceful, with a lovely small river flowing through it. The breakfast was also fantastic; all hot items were freshly cooked to order. "Kan deze plek niet missen en twijfel er niet aan om dit te posten, want het betekent gewoon minder beschikbaarheid in de toekomst. Perfecte locatie in Grasmere op een lichte helling en een oude schoolmeer districthuis met een gazon voor camping. Het personeel was zeer welkom en verheugd over de hele tijd en had een goede ervaring overal. Drijfkamer en fietswinkel echt nuttig, net als de tv-kamer. Nice gasten blijven, wat het belangrijkste is en lang kan dat blijven."

"We have stayed here a few times now. The location is unbeatable with it being in grasmere and having a private access to the lake. A morning walk to stand on the lake shore listening to the birds is so serene and relaxing. We stay in the lake room to get the best views from your window. One evening last year we watched the badgers on the lawn from our room. The rooms are functional and spotlessly clean. The owners and staff are all really welcoming and take time out to chat. In the spring/summer months, this place is unbeatable. We will be back."
