The only downside is a slightly dirty bed and something black was constantly falling from the roof and something was running there at night) but this is Sri Lanka, problems with the floor and ceiling are common here."

"Stay away from this hotel! The hotel rooms isn’t what’s pictured on booking sites, the entrance is through a forest on a mountain and through other buildings. The walls is stained, door is leaking, and the room are nasty. The entrance pathway crumbled under me so a nail went through my foot and got several scratches. It is NOT a hotel, not even a bungalow. I would rather sleep with the homeless dogs than stay there one night. We checked out 30 minutes after we checked in. At least the manager was nice enough to give a full refund and drive us to another hotel."

"This was one of my best stays in Sri Lanka. The only thing I could fault the place for, was the water pressure was not very good. I know serious world problems right. As a frequent world traveler I look for clean/safe/valuable for money accommodation, with a comfortable bed, hot shower, working AC for the hot climates and good Wi Fi. This place ticked all those boxes and some. Great hosts and you have the option of paying the extra for a home cooked meal, which was tasty and plentiful. It is located in a very quiet serene part of Ella and you will either be faced with a short drive into the Ella township or an approx 20min walk. The hosts went out of their way to ensure a great stay, helped with luggage up the steep stairs to the accommodation and bought some required items, when the host went into town. Pics shown stairs leading up to the accommodation, so definitively not wheel chair friendly. Another pic shows the evening meal. We also opted for the host to provide breakfast and it was just as good and affordable."

"Ik vond mijn verblijf hier absoluut leuk. Het personeel was ongelooflijk vriendelijk, welkom en altijd blij om te helpen. De enige neerwaartse kant was de weg naar het hotel. Omdat het is gelegen op een berg, kan de reis naar boven een beetje moeilijk zijn, aangezien de wegen nog steeds onder bouw zijn. Toch, als ik aankwam, was het volledig waard. De adembenemende uitzichten en de prachtige kamer meer dan gemaakt voor de reis. Over het algemeen had ik een prachtige solo-verblijf en zou dit hotel zeker aan iedereen aanbevelen om een vreedzame gevangenis met een prachtig landschap te zoeken."
