"My wife and I decided on a short visit of Eilat for some Saturday morning scuba diving. We arrived on Friday around 19:00 and had no hotel reservations. One of the places we found on “an apartments for rent” application was this Sahara hotel. Spent the night there and loved it. Clean, comfortable, great air conditioning, good clean shower and great quality soap and towels. For this price - it’s a bargain."

"I was in this hotel with my parents in the 80's and came back last week with my husband and it was a great surprise to see how the workers there are so nice and smiling and helpful with anything, from the house keeping, to the waiters and bar etc. Smiling and nice even though not everybody is always nice to them so big up to the Neptune team The rooms are nice and clean, we got a beautiful view on the red sea and they even treat us with a bottle of arak and snacks for our honey moon Location is perfect, on the beach and the swimming pool is nice and quiet when they are not ugly people to come with their loud music and cigarettes (even though it is forbidden) definitely recommended!"

"Groot butiqe hotel, check-in en check-out was super snel, hoewel onze kamer niet klaar was bij onze aankomst ...we wachtte een half uur om het te krijgen. We namen de familiekamer met een groot balkon. De kamer was groot en staat aan onze verwachtingen. Het zwembad is zeer goed gestield, maar het zwembad is een beetje klein denk ik ...Het hotel is schoon en mooi gestield, het werd vervelend gerenoveerd. Het ontbijt is goed en er zijn veel keuzes die we genoten. Het is moeilijk om een parkeerplaats te vinden en de agenten geven parkeerkaartjes als u op de verboden plaatsen parkeren. Over het algemeen hebben we ons verblijf genoten, de kamers zijn schoon en het eten is goed en zeer goed voor de prijs die u betaalt. Zou nog een keer blijven"

"Ik heb hier jaren geleden gebleven en het vond leuker dan de verblijfsduur die ik daar had. De kamers zijn comfortabel genoeg en redelijk goed gedaan. Gisteravond was er echter geluid van een lawaai disco evenement tot goed na middernacht - het personeel nam zelfs niet op als ik belde. De half tafel buffet diners zijn van hoge kwaliteit (Ik had het een avond) en een grote verscheidenheid aan vers eten. Het zwembad en het strand zijn echter echt afgelopen en vaak vuil. Het hele land heeft het gevoel van een "vakantiekamper" - dat misschien wel geschikt is voor sommige mensen - maar voor de gekste prijzen ($600 per nacht of meer) lijkt het erg uit synchronisatie. Ik ging naar Eilat voor een beetje winter zon, maar ik ga niet terug."

"Getting a simple glass of water was a struggle – empty ice machines, a broken lobby cooler, and no clear answers from staff. Our room was dirty, with dusty furniture, filthy switches, stains, broken tiles, and a spring bed that hurt my back. The PlayStation room was unbearably hot with sticky controllers, and the pool area was dirty with cigarette butts and cups even in the water. The food was mostly good and the desserts excellent, but the TVs were outdated with many channels that didn’t actually work. The parking attendant deserves five stars for his kindness, but the reception staff showed no service or basic hospitality. Not recommended!"

"The Sahara Hotel Is a Complete Disgrace — Do Not Be Fooled The Sahara Hotel is hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and that’s saying something. The pictures and descriptions on their website are nothing more than a bait-and-switch scam. What they sell online and what you actually get are worlds apart. The room I was given was essentially a closet masquerading as a hotel room. The so-called “queen bed” was literally two single beds pushed together, wedged a foot from the front door. No windows, no natural light — just a dark, suffocating cave that reeked of mildew and neglect. The “furnishings” were a joke: lawn furniture serving as nightstands. Everything about the space screamed cheap, dirty, and depressing. Within minutes of stepping inside, I knew I couldn’t stay there. I had to abandon the reservation and book another hotel immediately — that’s how unlivable it was. When I asked for a refund, the manager, Maia, couldn’t have cared less. She refused outright, showing zero professionalism or basic human decency. Air Canada Vacations, through whom I booked, even tried contacting the hotel to help resolve the issue, and the Sahara Hotel stonewalled them too. The situation was so bad that both Air Canada Vacations and ******* informed me they are delisting this dump from their platforms altogether. That should tell you everything you need to know. This is not just a bad hotel — it’s a disgrace to the hospitality industry. The Sahara Hotel should be avoided at all costs. Do yourself a favor: save your money, your health, and your sanity, and book literally anywhere else."

"Very disappointed Bed experience for family vacation. Rooms without terraces. The rooms in bad condition and poor maintenance. The towels smell bad, the linen sheets are full of hair( not ours). No feedback or comments from the reception The food is below the average (compared to the high price of the stay). No ice in the pool , I had to get some ice by my self with my two years toddler in 45 Celsius! Defiantly last time here and Fatal hotels. Better to pay more and enjoy real vacation in Isrotel hotels."

"This place is basically a hostel that charges ridiculous prices to sleep in a prison cell. The rooms are tiny and uncomfortable, there's the crappiest hand soap dispenser in the shower, there are zero amenities. They advertise free parking, there is ONE space for the entire hotel. There's no elevator, no nice view and the staff is problematic to say the least. Whatever you do, don't stay here, there is much much better value elsewhere."

"PROS * Major gigantic big large hotel * Located on the beach and at the Jordan border * Located in a row of other major gigantic hotels and next to the Jumbo Greece/Kings City retail/wholesale store and near the horrendous and grotesque Ice Mall shopping complex * Nice, unique, special and luxurious * The style and theme is ancient Egyptian and Middle Eastern archaeological excavations and the walls are designed to look like ancient historical sites such as nearby Petra, and even the elevator framings are in the design of ancient Egyptian tombs (see my “helpful” photos ) * An elegant amazing place * Food is very good and very plentiful and it’s very nice a walkway over waterways to get to the dining hall * The rooms are OK. * The bed is really really good and really nice and fluffy and done well * Paid parking lot managed by the hotel is located across the street * There is an area of a massive humongous candelabra which is hung in the lobby from 12 stories high, with a walkway on the 11th floor * The lobby has an open atrium for the entire 12 floors * There is a walkway on the eleventh floor, connecting two hotel towers and providing a broad view of the city of Eilat on one side and epic panoramic views of the Moab Mountains of Jordan on the other side, and of course a scenic outlook to the Red Sea and the borders with Egypt and Saudi Arabia * The cleaning crew does a very good job, as well as the maintenance crew/ everyone and everywhere * a very nice large size super clear and clean (greater than) Olympic size pool * Easy and super close access to Red Sea beach CONS * The Herods complex is located at the very end of the row of massive large high rises northern beachfront hotels- nothing beyond that except for the Jordanian border frontier * One can easily hear all of the water, the flushing in the shower, so clearly clearly from any of the adjacent rooms “I VISITED THIS PLACE”… … because we went on a long weekend with Frame and Nome (and others). We enjoyed it very much. WAS IT WORTH THE COST? Yes WOULD “I VISIT THIS PLACE” AGAIN? Yes ADVICE from IVTP This is a very good and very desirable place to stay, except that it is at the very end of the row of hotels"

"No Value for money. This is a 2.5-star hotel at most. It's an old property that's been partially renovated. Old and very slow elevator. Hallways looked old with chipped paint everywhere. There's a strong antiseptic smell that seems to be hiding something. Our room was a reasonable size. The bed was pretty comfortable. But everything else was sub-spar. Zero view from the room. Broken toilet seat. The breakfast was OK, but no more than that. The hotel was pet friendly and that's really the only reason to stay there, otherwise go someplace else in Eilat."
