"As a single lady in her 20s Travelling alone staff looked after me by putting me in a room near reception. Much appreciated The room was clean, plain and simple . Had a lovely comfortable clean bed, a tv, and a nice relaxing bath after a long travel. Water pressure was very slow and the place needs a touch of paint and refurbished, but the reception staff and cleaners are doing amazing. Keep pup the good work"

Augill Castle

"We had a wonderful, peaceful, and unique time at the hotel, rather like staying with someone at their home, which I suppose it is. It's definitely not bland and is memorable for all the right reasons. Comfortable bed, excellent freshly cooked breakfast, with tasty local produce. We could not taste the dinners provided as our stay coincided with the days formal dining doesn't take place at the castle, but we knew that in advance and there are excellent places to eat nearby. I'm a wheelchair user, and the accommodation and hotel was exactly what I needed. Our room was called Greystoke and themed appropriately. Our stay was much too short, so we plan to visit next year on the way to and from the Western Isles. We plan to try out the dinners then as well."

Redstones Hotel

"We stayed here by chance. The original plan was to camp, but a forecast storm suggested a change of plans. The Redstones was right where we wanted to be, had a room on the same night and was a decent price. Everything looked good. Arriving at the hotel we were impressed by the quality of the finish (everything looking brand new -the hotel has been open almost a year). The bedroom was really comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Breakfast (cooked to order) was superb with good quality sausages, bacon, black pudding and haggis. Good coffee too. Would definitely recommend this place as a base for walking etc in this area. The building is an old youth hotel and still has a kit drying room."

New Crown Inn

"Boekte onze kamer om te blijven na de dag te hebben doorgebracht in aqua sauna in centraal deels Grote waarde voor geld mooi personeel groot goeie kamer schoon comfortabel. Zeer warm welkom in het bar menu goed en ook een uitstekende ontbijt in de ochtend .Zeer aanbevolen en hebben al geboekt voor september"
