We got there at 10 o’clock and couldn’t find anybody in the office and couldn’t get to our room we had to stay at La Quinta and pay $305as an emergency could not reach anybody to respond to us for checking in."

"Amazing spot! Right in the hub of all the life in Durango! Great parking. The hotel itself was part of the visits fun. We walked around one night looking for something to do, but around 8PM things tend to close down in Durango but it turns out the hotel had to fun we were looking for. We walked back to the hotel and heard lively ragtime piano music coming from the hotels connected saloon. We walked in, found a chair, and cheered along with the rest of the crowd enjoying the music and stories of Adam Swanson."

"The hotel is conveniently located on US Highway 160, a little outside the town center; quite quiet, but surrounded by rather unspectacular mountains. The Sleep Inn is in a complex it apparently shares with the "Mainstay" brand. Check-in was quick and very friendly. The room was up to the usual Sleep Inn standard: modernly furnished, everything very clean. The breakfast room was very quiet at 7 a.m., and the buffet offered the usual standard fare of scrambled eggs and sausages, toast, and waffles. Not really good."

"The hotel was great, but we were told that basically trip.com is a scam they over book the lower priced rooms and you think that is what you are getting, but when you get to the hotel they upgrade you, because they do not have those rooms available. You think great I am getting an upgrade, however, you are charged for that upgrade. I contacted the hotel and they said that is why they discourage you going through a third party. It is a scam. I will not be using trip.com because of this. The hotel was kind of enough to reimburse this one time. So shout out to them that they at least treated us good."

"The hotel is in a great location. Downtown is walkable from the hotel. Many restaurants and shops close by. Some construction still being completed. Every staff member was very friendly. The room was very large and worked well. A small deck overlooked the town. We really enjoyed staying here. The only drawback Isn’t really their fault, but there are a lot of fees and taxes added to the bill so be ready for that. There is a fee for parking."
