Less than a second after I placed the order, before Ctrip’s order information came, the waiter had already started to check me in. Then the lady said slowly that the room was on the ninth floor. I suggested we move to a lower floor, as the altitude is already high and there is no oxygen in the room. She said that it couldn't be changed because the luxury rooms were all on the ninth floor. I said I would check out and rebook. She said that we couldn’t refund it because we had already checked in."

"We were too tired to travel any further in the early morning, so we chose a hotel in a small county town. Surprisingly, the receptionist was incredibly friendly and patient. She was very professional despite being new to the job and answered all our questions patiently. She even upgraded my room. The room wasn't very soundproof, and a child running around next door was disturbing our sleep. Cleanliness really needs improvement. Upon entering the room, we found cigarette butts in the bathroom and hair everywhere in the shower. The breakfast service was a bit confusing. The lady said the rule was one steamed bun and one egg, but I don't eat steamed buns and wanted two eggs. She said it wasn't possible, citing company policy and that it was difficult for her.
