"Excellent stay in Dengfeng, best price to value ratio. The room was clvery cosy, and the location is pretty good being close to Zhongyue temple and a short taxi ride away to trails into Mt. Song. One small remark was that the room had smokey air, likely from the previous guest(s). Hence I had to air it out but the air quality still didn't fully get optimal. Other than that; a perfect stay!"

"We are a couple from Norway coming to Dengfeng/Shaolin to se the temples, learn about the history and see the mountains of Shaolin. This hotel is an absolute pearl. About 600m from the Shaolin Temple entrance. And 10 minutes by Didi/Taxi to Dengfeng town. We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel and hotel rooms were beautiful, clean and felt like a little oasis. The rooms had good aircondition, the toilets where automatic, bed and pillows very comfortable. Overall stylish and good quality. In addition there are free massage chairs, a tea shop, a room for fotbaths, a laundry room, excellent dinner menu and a rooftop lounge/dinner space with view of the mountains. The best part of the hotell was definitely the staff. Welcoming, warm and good people. Very kind and service minded. 10/10 recommend this hotel. Also would like to add Anna, a Chinese local guide who speaks English who was recommended to us by the hotel. Everyone and everything was very efficient and pleasant."

"This is a sweet guest house located behind a tea shop. The sweet owner really makes the experience — going out of her way to make sure her guests are well cared for from food to tea to transportation. She helped us arrange taxis to and from neighboring cities and to the local sites. The Chinese breakfast was very good, local food. And it included hand ground coffee and a visit from the guest house cat."

"De receptie en de begroeters zijn erg goed en de service is proactief. Het hotel is niet vriendelijk voor individuele gasten. Omdat ze een groep moeten ontvangen, hoeven individuele gasten alleen maar naast de kassa te zitten (de kassa is in een foyer). en je zit in de foyer (er zijn in totaal drie tafels). Het is net een klein wegrestaurant. Er zijn privékamers, maar ze zijn bereid ze leeg te laten binnenkwam, vroeg hij hoeveel mensen er waren. Nadat hij het aantal mensen had verteld, zei hij meteen dat de privékamers vol waren, terwijl mensen allemaal ** zijn, slechte recensies, hoe kan een vijfsterrenhotel zo'n regeling hebben , het is ongelooflijk, en het zorgt ervoor dat ik niet langer geïnteresseerd ben in eten in het hotel. Ik weet niet of het hotel oud is of niet goed onderhouden. Veel faciliteiten zijn slechts decoraties. Ik heb het de hele nacht in rekening gebracht, alleen om erachter te komen de ochtend toen ik naar buiten ging, was er een probleem met het stopcontact. Verschillende kamers die ik had geboekt, hadden dit probleem 100% het kan worden gebruikt. De airconditioner zorgt niet voor verwarming of koeling, maar het display zorgt nog steeds voor verwarming en koeling. Het is slechts een decoratie. Er hangt nog steeds een vreemde geur in de kamer die niet weggaat Zelfs als ik van kamer verander, wordt het niet veel beter."

"I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Wulingyuan. It's very close to the east gate entrance and our room was clean and tidy. There is an option to do laundry at the hotel for free, which is very convenient. In the surrounding area you will find plenty of supermarkets and places to eat as well. The owners are super kind and helpful when it comes to booking tickets for the National park or any other question you might have. They are very knowledgeable about the different attractions and can also offer cheaper tickets if you have not purchased them yet."

Every step was explained clearly. I was afraid that we didn't understand the operation and reminded us patiently. There was no perfunctory in the whole process. When we encounter a place where we are unclear, she will also stop her work, answer carefully one by one, do things in an orderly manner, very reliable. We encountered some small problems during our stay. After contacting the front desk as soon as possible, the manager quickly came forward to coordinate and deal with it. The response speed was particularly fast, and the positive communication and efficient solution did not make us worry more. Whether it is consulting room-related matters or asking for small needs, she always maintains a gentle attitude, does her best to help deal with it, and does everything safely and intimately. From check-in to check-out, her professional service and serious and responsible work attitude have left a deep impression on us. "This is a wonderful place to stay. The owner and his wife are incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating. It’s just a few minutes from the Shaolin Temple, and the owner even offered transportation to and from the site. The food is delicious, I tried the egg fried rice, Sichuan Mala chicken, and Mala tofu (beancurd). the portions are generous and easily enough for 2–3 people. The rooftop offers stunning views of the mountains, and the owner is happy to serve tea if you’d like. There are also clothes-drying areas on the 2nd and 5th floors. While language differences limit conversation, the couple’s kindness and hospitality truly shine through. I would absolutely stay here again if I return. Heads-up: I wanted to go to Luoyang, and the owner kindly took me to a nearby spot where the bus stops. She even spoke to the driver to help me get on the right bus. After a while, the driver informed me through a note that he was heading to Gongyi instead. He asked me to get down and pointed towards another bus. I then took the bus, confirming with the driver that it was going to Luoyang before boarding. However, the same thing happened again; the driver stopped halfway and asked me to take a taxi. It seemed like the taxi driver might have been the bus driver’s acquaintance as he boarded the bus right after bus stops. The taxi driver initially quoted me 150 yuan to take me to my hotel in Luoyang. I wanted to use Didi, but the app couldn’t recognise the hotel’s name. Since the hotel was only a few meters from the Longmen Grottoes, I knew the fare should be around 65 yuan. I showed him the price on the app and he eventually agreed on 100 yuan. My advice: if you’re unsure of the bus route, go directly to the bus station. They will help you find the correct bus to your destination and let you know if any transfers are needed. This experience ended up being quite inconvenient, costing me both time and money. What should have been a 30-yuan trip from Dengfeng to Luoyang ended up costing me three times more. The owner had nothing to do with this, it’s just a heads-up for anyone planning to take the bus."
