"We visited the hotel 45 years ago with our parents and returned this summer. We did not expect the hotel to be the same but we were shocked at the amount of decline. The location is beautiful and views amazing but the hotel needs major work. The entire place needs painting, balconies repaired due to crumbling wood and general repair. The hotel had very few guests which in itself was a plus for us but an obvious negative for the hotel. The staff other than the dining room manager were helpful and accommodating. It was sad to see the current state of the hotel vs her glory days."

"The hotel (and conference centre) is very well run. Staff are very professional. Breakfast was at a „quite good for four star“ quality (standard for that hotel level, but by no means exceptional). The furnishings in the hallway were a bit worn and musty. The fitness centre was quite good. My room itself was quite spacious and the bathroom in perfect condition - all the fittings worked great and there was no mould, a sign it is looked after well. There was no airconditioning (which was a problem in the summer) and this would not have been an issue really, but with the window open at night fumes from some generator or something (not sure what, but it smelt like having a cars exhaust pipe in my room) came in through the window. Overall: if I were to come to Davos privately, I would try to find a different place. But it was ok for a work trip alone."

Casanna Hotel Davos City Center

"Ik was hier een paar dagen voor een zakenreis. De ligging van het hotel is ultra centraal, waardoor het ideaal is voor zakenreizen en snelle pendelritten van en naar het congrescentrum. Mijn kamer was erg klein en lag naast de lift. Het hotel was volgeboekt en het duurde een paar dagen om te verkleden. De t****e kamer was aanzienlijk groter en comfortabeler. Het ontbijt was niet veel uitgebreider dan in de jeugdherberg in Davos. Al met al voelde het niet alsof ik werd bediend. Het gebouw en de kamers zijn niet recent gerenoveerd. Deze plek profiteert enorm van de centrale ligging..."

Davos Youth Hostel

"Alles klopte met de reservering bij het Youth Hostel. Een erg vriendelijke dame bij de receptie, die ons bovendien van allerlei informatie voorzag, bijvoorbeeld over de bus, trein, die we in de komende dagen gingen gebruiken. Het eten is perfect, genoeg variatie en zeker voldoende. We mochten de auto parkeren bij het hostel, daar we over vier dagen , na een huttentrektocht weer daar zouden komen. Het is ook mogelijk om "s avonds nog wat uit een automaat te halen om nog iets te nuttigen na 20:00u."

Hotel Concordia

"Located on the Promenade, this hotel has outstanding beds (can't remember when I last slept so well in a hotel) and an exceptional breakfast. Reception was very nice and ready to help. We spoke in German but I believe they can speak EN too. Reception hours may seem odd but due to breaks but it wasn't a problem, our key was left ready for pickup. In general everyone is relaxed. We had a studio, big, cleaned daily with kitchinette (had everything you need for a short stay). Groceries close by (5mins walk). It's quite a walk to the city centre, but again whether this is an issue or not depends pn your interests. We also got free Davos transport tickets working also on some cable cars. Loved it and recommend it!"

Hotel Parsenn

"Top hotel, verdient een extra ster door het geweldige team! Onze kamer (102) was erg ruim, met heerlijke bedden. Het kussenmenu was een fijne toevoeging voor een goede nachtrust. De badkamer was niet groot, maar ruim genoeg voor de douche e.d. Douche heeft veel waterdruk dus je hoeft de kraan eigenlijk niet helemaal open te zetten. Ontbijt is van goede kwaliteit, met veel keuze. Eieren worden vers voor je bereid. De ligging is top, tegenover de P****nn lift. De parkeerplaatsen is de garage van het hotel zijn wat klein, maar aangezien je bij een wintersport je auto toch niet nodig hebt staat ie daar goed. Vanaf aankomst tot vertrek hebben we een service genoten die eerder bij een 5 sterren. hotel past. We willen nogmaals het hele team bedanken voor het geweldige verblijf wat we hebben mogen ervaren"

Hotel Edelweiss

"Hotel Edelweiss is a gem! Recently refurbished the interior is modern with neutral colours and extremely comfortable furnishings. We have just returned from a week in the apartment situated on the ground floor. It is quiet and spacious with 2 separate bedrooms furnished with double beds , one of which has a ladder to a third double bed which would suit a teenager or child. There is a spacious sitting /dining room , a well fitted kitchen and a bathroom with over-the-bath shower. The beds are extremely comfortable with down duvets and soft pillows. All was immaculately clean and well presented. Next to the apartment is a large sitting room for all guests with its own library. After tasting the quality of food on the first evening, we opted to have half board for all of our stay. The food is fabulous and very good value for money with a starter, salad buffet, main and dessert for 25 Chf. Highly recommend this option. Our thanks must go to the wonderful, caring staff who were so professional and friendly. From the warmth of the reception staff to the smiley ,waiting staff and the talented chef, we felt everyone went out of their way to ensure that our holiday was enjoyable. This is a hotel I can highly recommend and hope to return to in the near future. "
