"A little surprised at the ranking for this hotel. I wouldn't stay here if it wasn't for being on a tour. It's about 15 minute walk to anything. So the location was not really convenient. The hotel breakfast offered what others haven't in Ecuador which is a daily special so you get to try local dishes like tamales or hominy. The house keeping as with few places I stayed in Ecuador is pretty clueless. I need to remake the bed everyday. There were also holes in the pillow cases. What was most annoying was the daily renovation to install smoke alarms. Three out of three days, I come back to hotel with my room opened, tools all over the place, drilling and sawing staring 9am. By the time I left, the smoke alarms were still not installed."

"The hotel common areas are absolutely beautiful! The staff is amazingly professional, respectful and considerate! Breakfast was wonderful each morning. They give so much food and it is so fresh and delicious! I had dinner in the rooftop bar which is charming! The food was wonderful and the drinks top notch!"

"A historic building. The building is charming with a number of original features. The room had a french balcony. I was afraid that the street noise would bother me but it did not. The balcony has two sets of glass doors and a solid wooden door. The floor do squeak which is part of the charm I suppose. The bathroom has a large shower, a magnifying mirror and hairdryer. There is a restaurant that I did not try. The staff speaks good English and was helpful in giving directions. The only possible issue is that it is three floors and there is no elevator. There are rooms on the main level. I was given assistance with may luggage when I checked in and when I left."

"Such a beautiful hotel. Definitely deserves its Boutique naming. I love the decoration, the rooms a spotless and the bathroom is as it should be. Feels very safe too as only guest can enter the premises. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Only 5’ walk to the Plaza Calderon so very well situated."

"Goed gelegen in het centrum van Cuenca, met comfortabele kamers en een prachtige tuin. Het personeel is aardig en attent. Een mooie plek met vermogen voor een groot aantal bezoekers, je hebt een beetje meer controle nodig op de kamers, maar naast dat alles is goed."

"Wat verbaast is de rust van de binnenste. In dit oude huis, dat onlangs is gerenoveerd, is alles rustig. De kamers zijn niet groot, maar hebben alle comfort die ze nodig hebben. De gemeenschappelijke ruimtes zijn levensvatbaar en maken ook lezingen mogelijk op een discrete muziekgrond. De locatie is strategisch om het centrum te lopen in een paar minuten."
