"The explanation about the additional charges at the site was unhelpful, which caused some trouble. Trip.com made a reservation for 5 people, 3 adults, 1 junior high school student and 1 elementary school student, and the information on the meal plan was for 4 people, so we ordered an additional meal for 1 child. When we arrived at the facility, the agent told us that the reservation was for 4 people on *******, so we showed them the reservation screen to confirm that the reservation site was different and that the reservation was for 5 people. They said they understood the reservation details, so we asked how much the additional meal cost was, but we didn't get a clear answer at that point, and when we checked out, they said that there was no additional setting for meals only, so the regular price for 1 night and 2 meals (higher than the price via trip.com) would be the same price, but we were told that it was okay. No, no, we were only planning to pay for the additional child's meal, but there was no setting, so it would end up being more expensive, but they didn't answer when we asked, and we were told at checkout. It's not a facility with the latest equipment, but we enjoyed the hot springs, the room, and the food, so it was disappointing to leave the inn in an unpleasant mood."

"The room was average but spacious, the hot spring was nice, and the service was good. I had informed them I was bringing a baby, so they provided a diaper bag and baby bedding. The food was delicious and luxurious for the price, and the price was really low, so I'd rate this as "very good"! The location is also great. Kamiyamada Onsen has a shooting gallery and snack bar, and it feels like a hot spring town from the good old days. Drinks from the vending machines are free, and if you serve yourself from the beer server, beer is only 100 yen, which is really cheap. It's not a luxury inn, but it's a nice, rustic hot spring, and I'd love to go again."
