"Located in the historical heart of Slovenia's second city, the Hotel Maribor offers up-do-date accommodations while still preserving a certain old-world charm. Our room was not in the hotel proper, but in the lovely garden apartment addition located a block away, closer to the lively riverfront Lent district, and easily ranked as the best accommodation we found in Slovenia. Ample work space, a restful bed, and a lovely exterior patio perfect for morning reflection and an afternoon drink. The staff is supremely accommodating, and the breakfast buffet (with optional omelettes) suffices, though even more satisfying options can be found a few paces away."

"A special thank you to the young lady at reception, who was exceptionally kind, patient, and helpful throughout my stay. She guided me through the directions to the hotel, helped resolve my parking situation after I forgot to reserve a parking space, and made the whole arrival process completely stress-free. She also kindly provided an extra pillow, which made my stay even more comfortable and ensured a great night's sleep. Small gestures like these make a real difference and are a wonderful reflection of the hotel's hospitality."

"Zo'n geweldige plek om recht bij de rivier en naast het centrum van de stad te blijven. Het ontbijt was allemaal vers en eieren gekookt om te bestellen. De kamer was zeer groot met een goede badkamer. Het hotel heeft ook een eerlijke bar die mooi was met een goede keuze van wijn en bier."

"We checked in one location but had to drag our luggage to a second location down an alley of cobbled stones closer to the river. We were rewarded with modern charming rooms decked with kettle, coffee maker, complimentary water and even a small bottle of red wine. Slept with the windows wide open in April as we can’t control the temperature of our room. Room was new, clean. Our room look different to the Internet photos. I guess the hotel has rooms with different configurations. Location is fantastic. Hotel located in the city centre."

There are Restaurants and cafes on the river and across the pedestrian bridge just one block away is the Europark shopping centre. Breakfast was included in our booking.
