"Mooie premier plus kamer, kan doen met meer draaier ruimte in de kamer voor een paar, hoe schoon en comfortabel. De kamers zijn ingesteld op airconditioning, als het een koude dampdag is en je nodig hebt de verwarming op alles wat je moet doen is vragen receptie en ze zullen het gelukkig instellen op de verwarming. Personeel zijn zeer vriendelijk, avond maaltijden mooi."

"The new management of this pub have really turned things around. A lovely warm welcome from Sarah and her team and great sevice. Then pub is warm and cosy with a friendly atmosphere. Great range of beers and other drinks. We had New Year's Day lunch and the food was excellent. Really recommend the steak and ale pie and the black and blue burger. All good value. This pub is dog friendly and even has blankets and toys for canine visitors."

"Stayed at the Queen's Head hotel over the weekend due to attending a concert at Buxton Opera House. We were really well looked after and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean , warm and welcoming. Whilst there is no on-site parking, there is parking in the market place only a minutes walk away which was easy to access. Thank you for an enjoyable stay."

"Absoluut een uitstekend verblijf. De kamer en het hele hotel waren schoon. De kamers waren zeer goed uitgerust, ijzeren bord, ijzer, haardroger, handdoeken, extra kleding en kissen, koelkast, veel koffie en thee en melk met een koffiepop machine ook. Water in de koelkast. Verbazingwekkende uitzichten van de slaapkamer en badkamer. Tv-keuze was uitstekend met Netflix etc. Dat kan niet. Het ontbijt was uit deze wereld!!!!! Eerste klas dienst en voedsel. Zal daar zeker weer blijven en ONDERDAN vanaf nu Dankzij Jane, die ons binnenkwam."

"We booked our stay as we were going to the Opera House on the Friday and decided to make a weekend of it. All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and having heating that worked was a great bonus! The breakfast choice was good - continental was a good range of cereals and yogurts, fruit; wholemeal and white sliced bread and toasters that worked :-) there was a good range of jams and spreads and freshly baked (cold) croissants - these were delicious. The first day I had the full English and my mum had the bacon and cheese oatcake. The food arrived piping hot and was good quality. The second morning we both just had bacon and poached eggs (the eggs were perfect!). On the Sat night we ate in the restaurant and again the service was excellent! I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious and the best pie steak pie I've had in years! My mum had a starter for her main as she wasn't that hungry - she went for the prawn and noodles. It was actually quite substantial. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for the excellent service and location - 10 min walk or a very cheap taxi ride into town or the station. My mum was having trouble walking so we had to get a taxi from the station (and back) and also to and from the Opera House - each journey was just £3.50. I would recommend using AtoZ cars."

The morning breakfast was excellent and the staff in the morning just as friendly. It was a little noisy at times but nothing we couldn’t deal with and was expected with families staying. A real lovely introduction to hosteling!"

"De kamer is groot, het bed is groot, het oude huis, de lift kan in drie gezinnen, nauw bij elkaar, de beddengoed is ruim, maar niet hoog, maar niet te zacht. De kamer is kaos, in totaal meer dan dertig kamers, en een etage moet een half dag worden gezocht. Het waterhoofd is gescheiden van het koude water, er zijn spits en watermerken op de muur, de gang heeft een heet regen. Het hotel is goed in de omgeving en het ontbijt is goed."

"Het was het weekend in het Queen's Head Hotel... om een concert te hebben bij het Buxton Opera House. We waren erg goed op gekeken en het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en handig. De accommodatie was schoon, warm en welkom. Er is geen parkeerplaats, maar op de markt is er slechts een minuut lopen lopen die gemakkelijk toegankelijk was. Bedankt voor een leuk verblijf."

"Lovely place in a remote location very peaceful. Everything was perfect. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Accommodation was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable and the large walk-in shower was great. Little outside patio with two chairs and a table overlooking the hill side and amazing countryside views was a real bonus and idyllic. There are plenty of walks for you and your dog (Blind Bull is dog friendly and some rooms allow dogs to stay too). If you are looking for peace  and quiet, we highly recommend the Blind Bull."
