Nice and new. Really lovely room and breakfast was good. Wonderful location off Hwy 620 near 71 West / Bee Cave / Hill Country Galleria. Downside : I booked and paid for my room through Trip app and several days after my stay Springhill charged the credit card number I gave them for incidentals to charge me for the room I had already paid for! Not cool. I travel quite a bit and use third part apps all the time and have never had this happen before with any hotels. I may? stay there again but I’m certainly going to keep an eye out for this. The only reason I caught it so quickly is because I have notifications set to text me anytime there is a charge to this credit card. Good thing.

Our reservation was booked through a third party for 2 adults and 2 children and stated “room assigned at check in.” We are a family of four and we were assigned a single king bed room when we checked in our first night (unbeknownst to us). Once we realized the room wasn’t going to work for us we immediately approached the desk (it’s now around 9pm), requesting to be relocated to a room that would better accommodate our family with either a pull out bed or double queen. The man who checked us in at the front asked that we wait for the manager (we waited 45min until 10PM with a 5 and 7 year old) to see if she would move our room assignment. We have never had an issue at other hotels getting a room that would accommodate us—management here, however, refused to change our room assignment despite there being availability unless we went through our third party vendor to cancel and rebook directly at a much higher cost... I didn’t realize hotels don’t have control over room assignments anymore (insert sarcasm)? We ended up buying an air mattress that our kids slept on (after they slept on the floor the first night as they did not have a rollaway bed either). The pros: the maid service was fantastic going above and beyond, making both the air mattress and king bed, refreshing linens and toiletries. The hot breakfast was also satisfying and more than your standard continental. Regardless we’ll be staying at the La Quinta up the street from now on when in Lakeway.

Downside : I booked and paid for my room through Trip app and several days after my stay Springhill charged the credit card number I gave them for incidentals to charge me for the room I had already paid for! Not cool. I travel quite a bit and use third part apps all the time and have never had this happen before with any hotels. I may? stay there again but I’m certainly going to keep an eye out for this. The only reason I caught it so quickly is because I have notifications set to text me anytime there is a charge to this credit card. Good thing.

Our reservation was booked through a third party for 2 adults and 2 children and stated “room assigned at check in.” We are a family of four and we were assigned a single king bed room when we checked in our first night (unbeknownst to us). Once we realized the room wasn’t going to work for us we immediately approached the desk (it’s now around 9pm), requesting to be relocated to a room that would better accommodate our family with either a pull out bed or double queen. The man who checked us in at the front asked that we wait for the manager (we waited 45min until 10PM with a 5 and 7 year old) to see if she would move our room assignment. We have never had an issue at other hotels getting a room that would accommodate us—management here, however, refused to change our room assignment despite there being availability unless we went through our third party vendor to cancel and rebook directly at a much higher cost... I didn’t realize hotels don’t have control over room assignments anymore (insert sarcasm)? We ended up buying an air mattress that our kids slept on (after they slept on the floor the first night as they did not have a rollaway bed either). The pros: the maid service was fantastic going above and beyond, making both the air mattress and king bed, refreshing linens and toiletries. The hot breakfast was also satisfying and more than your standard continental. Regardless we’ll be staying at the La Quinta up the street from now on when in Lakeway.

I stayed 4 nights at this Sonesta Bee Cave Austin, TX, I chose this hotel to celebrate Mother's Day 2022 . The staff were all accommodating! I liked its beautiful location. The staff helped me use my Travel Pass reward system account. I liked how close the Town Center Shops ( Galeria ) are . I went to Panera bread daily for breakfast. I shopped at Dillard's and Whole foods. All were close to the hotel. The fun things I did in the area were 1) Hamilton Pool State Park ( reservations required), 2) Lady Bird Wildflower Center 3) Bat Evening Flight Boat Tour in Downtown Austin 4) Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet Restaurant
