Il Ciocco Hotels

"Dit complex met hotels, blokhutten, restaurants en fietsverhuur maakt geen deel uit van het Renaissance Tuscany il Ciocco Resort & Spa. Hoewel de ingang vanaf de hoofdweg hetzelfde is, waren we zeer aangenaam verrast toen we bij het hotel aankwamen. Het uitzicht op Barga en verder is prachtig. Onze kamer bevond zich in het College Hotel, het gebouw tegenover Hotel Monteceneri waar de receptie is gevestigd. De kamer was ruim en had een klein balkon. Er was flessenwater, een koffiezetapparaat (een paar cups), een bureau en een hanggedeelte voor kleding. Het bed was groot en zeer comfortabel (we zijn erg kieskeurig). De badkamer had een douche en toiletartikelen. We liepen elke ochtend de trap op voor het ontbijt, erg aangenaam om naar de vogels te luisteren en de frisse berglucht in te ademen. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid: vruchtensappen, koffie, roerei, spek, worst, zoete broodjes, cake, brood/toast, jam, honing, kaas, ham, vers fruit en yoghurt. We hebben twee keer tijdens onze week in het restaurant Locanda Alla Posta gegeten en van beide maaltijden genoten. Over het algemeen hebben we genoten van onze week in Il Ciocco Hotels."

Villa Moorings

"Just returned from a 5 night stay. We had an amazing time in Barga and Villa Moorings is the perfect location to relax and explore the area. Beautiful 1920s art deco building retaining many original features - if you want authenticity and a friendly family atmosphere then this is the place. I can understand that some people might find the old furniture etc a bit 'quirky', but we loved the character. Breakfast was amazing, everything was kept really clean and the staff were super friendly. Thanks everyone! (p.s. Roseanna says "ciao Anna - ci vediamo presto!")"
