"Blijf drie nachten. Het hotel is een erfgoedhotel, maar niet aanbevolen voor mensen die bang zijn dat alles alleen blijft. De locatie is perfect, bij de hoofdingang van de Tempel van de Tand. Eén mannelijke GSA reageerde echter niet goed toen ik hem vertelde dat de telefoon kapot was, de koelkast binnenin erg heet was en het lampje in het toilet vaak kapot was. Totdat ik uitcheckte, was de telefoon nog steeds kapot en de koelkast binnenin erg heet. Maar het lampje werd gerepareerd door een elektricien die was aanbevolen door het mannelijke kamermeisje, niet door GSA."

"The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the room size is suitable for three guests. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant, with a welcoming ambiance throughout the property. The staff are friendly, professional, and highly attentive. The rooftop pool offers a wonderful setting with a great view, and the food is excellent—particularly the dinner served at the rooftop restaurant. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for money considering the quality of service and facilities."

The rooms are spacious and bright, with balconies. I was fortunate to have a room overlooking the pool, which offered a fantastic view. The room was very comfortable, and every morning, I enjoyed waking up, stepping onto the balcony, and soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings. The hotel is located by the famous Mahaweli River, and the natural environment around it is excellent, with frequent sightings of various birds and eagles. It’s a great place for those who love peace and nature. The pool was my favorite part of the hotel. It’s open almost all day, and swimming in the morning or evening felt like having the entire pool and sky to myself, a truly serene experience. The restaurant also overlooks the pool, and dining there offers both visual and sensory enjoyment. After breakfast each day, I would sit on the terrace, read a book, or work. It was quiet, and the temperature was perfect—not too hot. This hotel was one of the few places during my 20-day trip in Sri Lanka where I could truly relax and enjoy some peaceful reading time. However, the hotel has some shortcomings in its service. First, it’s located quite far from the city center, which might not be convenient for those looking to explore Kandy. Second, the quality of service felt unrefined. For example, upon check-in, staff members performed a traditional song and dance, but it felt half-hearted. Later, I was assigned a personal service staff member and given a phone for direct contact. However, the staff member seemed inexperienced. For instance, when I asked if the curtains were manual or electric, they demonstrated how to close them but then reopened them, even though it was already 6-7 p.m. and completely dark outside. These small details reflected a lack of polish in the service. Another minor issue was at breakfast. Every morning, I chose cereal and was asked if I preferred coconut syrup or honey. I answered “coconut syrup” every time, but the staff still asked me the same question every day. While it’s a small matter, it suggests room for improvement in their service process. Overall, the Jetwing Kandy Gallery is a great place to relax and connect with nature. The rooms, pool, and surrounding environment are excellent. If the hotel could enhance its service details, such as being more attentive to guests’ habits and preferences, the experience would be even better."

"Lovely view and soft, comfortable beds to sleep in for the night. The single, only problem I had was the waiter at the restaurant kept asking me, “are you okay, is everything good?” literally every 2 minutes. After saying “yes, thank you” multiple times, he stands there and starts a conversation, and once, just stands there and looks at me. The only thing I want to do is eat my food in peace. Lastly, after the only thing he brought me was a cappuccino (as it was a buffet so I fetch my own food), I gave a 1000 lkr tip. He was visibly upset with this and his over-friendliness completely disappeared. I didn’t dare to go back to the restaurant after this. Food was good, however!"

"Nice hotel with a great view over the river. Some of the furniture in the rooms are a bit dated and could do with some DIY. The room lighting could be improved and the odour inside the washroom should be better managed. Beds were comfy, rooms were very spacious and the facilities in the hotel were good. Food was tasty and had a wide variety."

"Absolutely stunning, giant compound with an extensive history! They even offer a history walking tour but unfortunately there weren’t enough people signed up to make the tour happen. If you’re looking for a “colonial” stay, this is a great place. I recommend just walking around to see it for yourself. It’s also right on Kandy Lake, so it’s a nice walk (and not too far from the Kandyan Culture Center and the Sacred Tooth Temple Meals were good, but service sometimes is a little messy. Buffet was missing things like tongs or a cloth over the tray handles (which were hot to touch), but there’s a lot of servers walking around so I’m sure they’ll be able to do double-checks on this"

"Dit hotel ligt op ongeveer 10 minuten van het stadscentrum, wat enigszins onhandig kan zijn vanwege de klim, maar de locatie biedt een zekere rust. Hoewel het hotel klein is, heeft het een zwembad op het dak met een prachtig uitzicht op de omgeving, perfect om te ontspannen. Wat het restaurant betreft, hebben we besloten er niet te ontbijten omdat de service à la carte is en we het wat prijzig vonden. De kamer is echter vrij ruim en heeft een ingebouwde keuken, zodat je ontbijt of een maaltijd kunt bereiden. Vreemd genoeg is de keuken niet uitgerust; er zijn geen borden of bestek beschikbaar, wat een beetje verwarrend is. De hotelfaciliteiten zijn voldoende en goed onderhouden, hoewel de gangen naar de lift verschillende bochten hebben die de toegang bemoeilijken, wat soms oncomfortabel kan zijn. Over het algemeen was ons verblijf goed. Als je echter op zoek bent naar het nachtleven of meer entertainment, zul je richting het stadscentrum moeten gaan, aangezien er in de omgeving alleen andere hotels zijn en verder weinig."
