"Ik heb gemengde gevoelens over deze herberg. De reden dat ik deze plek heb geboekt, is vanwege de hoge beoordeling en de locatie in de oude stad. De service is echt goed. De dame bij de receptie kwam ons ophalen en begeleidde ons naar de herberg. Er is een shuttlebus die je vanaf een bepaalde gate naar hun herberg brengt, maar we moesten meer dan 30 minuten wachten op deze service, waarna ik mijn klacht heb geuit. De dame bij de receptie heeft zichzelf goedgemaakt door me een kamerupgrade aan te bieden, wat erg fijn is. Eén ding dat ik wil benadrukken, is dat er veel trappen naar boven zijn in de binnenplaats vanwege de historische aard van de bouwstijl, waardoor het niet gemakkelijk is om grote koffers te tillen. Daarnaast is er een fotoservice die duurt tot 10:30 tot 11:00 uur. Ik raad je aan om een rustige kamer in de binnenplaats te boeken. Verder ben ik tevreden over de service en het is een prachtige herberg."

"We hadden het geluk dat we dit hotel willekeurig kozen tijdens onze dagtrip naar Pingyao. Het is een van de grotere herbergen in de oude stad. De uitstekende service maakte onze reis naar Pingyao aangenaam. Het hotel heeft waarschijnlijk de enige Starbucks in de oude stad, waardoor het gemakkelijk te vinden is en dicht bij het centrum ligt, wat het erg handig maakt om de stad te verkennen. We kregen koffie bij aankomst en gaven ze zelfs een fles azijn toen we vertrokken. De aanbevolen restaurants waren allemaal uitstekend. Het hotel heeft een schilderachtige stijl, die doet denken aan een duizend jaar oude binnenplaats. Het hotel ligt in de oude stad en de faciliteiten en service zijn uitstekend. Ze belden de dag voor aankomst om ons te herinneren aan alle noodzakelijke voorbereidingen. De parkeergelegenheid en de transfers verliepen soepel en het inchecken ging snel. We hadden ook een one-stop-service voor het verkennen van de oude stad en het reserveren van een shuttle naar schilderachtige plekken. We spraken gewoon een tijdstip af en gingen op pad, wat ons tijd en moeite bespaarde. De kamerfaciliteiten zijn goed, met alle voorzieningen van een sterrenhotel. De netheid is uitstekend. Het hotel is gerenoveerd met behoud van de architectuur van de oude stad, waardoor er foto's gemaakt kunnen worden en er ingecheckt kan worden. Faciliteiten: Goed Schoonmaak: Goed Omgeving: Goed Service: Retourvervoer (hogesnelheidstrein, trein, afrit snelweg, Noordpoort, enz.) "Uitstekende locatie vlak bij de South Gate en gemakkelijke toegang tot Main Street in de oude stad. Ziet er een beetje vervallen uit, maar misschien was dat de uitstraling die het probeerde te behouden. Niet zeker. Klassieke Chinese stijl kamer (leuk!!) met Kang Bed bedoeld voor degenen die gewend zijn aan harde bedden. Toilet en douche zijn niet gescheiden. Biedt ophalen en afzetten bij het hogesnelheidstreinstation, wat grote pluspunten zijn. Behulpzame receptie."

"Wat je op de website ziet, is wat je krijgt. Het is het hotel waar de foto's die ik op Ctrip heb geboekt het meest overeenkomen met de werkelijke situatie. De prijs-prestatieverhouding is ook erg hoog en de service is geweldig, geduldig en attent. Hoewel het ontbijt eenvoudig is, is het verfrissend en schoon en kun je ook de lokale specialiteit snack-Wantu proeven. De kaartjes voor Youjian Pingyao die door het hotel zijn geboekt, zijn iets goedkoper dan die van Ctrip. Het hotel biedt ook gratis toeristische kaarten van de oude stad en aanbevolen tourroutes. De volgende keer dat ik naar Pingyao ga, zal ik in Heping Mansion verblijven. De twee honden zijn ook heel schattig. Ze staan alleen buiten de drempel van het hek en komen niet binnen. Ze zijn erg menselijk."

The whole house was cleaned spotlessly, the bathroom was separated from wet and dry, the smart toilet felt great, and the hot water was stable and sufficient. "We had such a lovely stay here and truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife, the husband kindly picked us up from the train station and later dropped us back, which made our travel so much easier and stress-free. The wife checked us in warmly and looked after us throughout our stay, always making sure we were comfortable. Her English was very good, and she gave us fantastic recommendations. The homemade breakfast she prepared for us the next morning was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel like guests in their home rather than just customers at a hotel. Their kindness and genuine hospitality really stood out. The room was modern and very clean, and the hotel itself is so picturesque! Staying here made our experience in Pingyao incredibly memorable. We’re very grateful for how well they looked after us and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!"

"De baas is erg aardig en attent. Hij zal het initiatief nemen om contact op te nemen met de gasten over hoe ze zo snel mogelijk de parkeerplaats het dichtst bij de B&B kunnen bereiken. Hij zal vooraf een shuttlebus reserveren en deze rechtstreeks naar de deur sturen van de B&B. De B&B ligt vlak bij de noordelijke poort, dicht bij de schilderachtige plek Majia Courtyard en de algemene binnenplaats van de B&B. Antiek, vooral geschikt voor inchecken en het maken van foto's, de omgeving is erg goed, de B&B-kamer is schoon en netjes, en van alle gemakken voorzien. De kamer beschikt over direct drinkwater en centrale airconditioning, waardoor het niet erg koud zal zijn op de kamer, en het 's nachts erg rustig is om te slapen. "Ik ben zeer tevreden met de kamer. In de winter is de kamer voorzien van vloerverwarming. De kamer is zeer uniek en comfortabel om op te slapen. De locatie ligt midden in de oude stad en handig. De baas is erg aardig, biedt ophaal- en wegbrengdiensten en houdt echt rekening met zijn klanten. Omdat hij mij met mijn kinderen zag reizen, heeft hij onze kamer gratis geüpgraded, ons kennis laten maken met zeer goede reisfotografie en ons geholpen met communiceren met de baas van de reisfotografie. Het was een zeer bevredigende culturele Jin-ervaring. Het was jammer dat ik geen tijd had om Pingyao weer te zien. Ik hoop dat ik de kans krijg om terug te komen. Als je naar Pingyao komt, raad ik deze be & be ten zeerste aan."

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad in het hotel. Het ligt in de oude stad Pingyao. Het is sfeervol en als je in deze stad verblijft, heb je echt het gevoel dat je terug in de tijd bent gereisd. De kamer is groot genoeg voor ons gezin van 5.

Ik verbleef in deze B&B in Pingyao in 2019. Ik had een zeer goede indruk. Dit jaar bezocht ik Pingyao voor de t****e keer en boekte het zonder aarzeling opnieuw. De eigenaar A Rong is erg aardig en nuchter. Hij is een aboriginal uit de oude stad Pingyao. Hij haalde ons op naar de stad en terug. Hij hielp ons ook met het afleveren van onze bagage naar het treinstation. Het is echt zeldzaam om zo'n baas te ontmoeten in een vreemde stad. Bovendien is de retro - ingerichte kamers in de B&B zijn erg warm en het ontbijt is ook heerlijk. Ah Rong plande een rondleiding door de oude stad. De tips om valkuilen te vermijden zijn heel redelijk. Ik heb echt een heel goede indruk van een plek omdat ik een B&B alleen. Ik zal het zeker aanbevelen aan al mijn vrienden die naar Pingyao gaan.

Dit is de eerste keer dat ik echt een recensie wilde achterlaten. We kozen dit hotel in Pingyao omdat het koud begon te worden en de kamers, met hun moderne voorzieningen, zo aantrekkelijk waren. Het hotel ligt aan een prachtige oude binnenplaats in Shanxi. De kamers waren schoon en hygiënisch, en de binnenplaats was perfect om te ontspannen en foto's te maken. De toiletartikelen waren vergelijkbaar met die van Huazhu Hotels, en de kamer was erg warm. Het hotel heeft een schattige corgi genaamd Qiuqiu, waar mijn kind graag mee speelde. Het hotelpersoneel was erg geduldig en vriendelijk. Na het kijken van ”Encounter Pingyao” raakten we een beetje verdwaald op de hoofdweg en belden we het hotel. Een knappe jongeman genaamd Xiao Wang kwam ons meteen ophalen. Rond 9 of 10 uur 's ochtends bracht het hotelpersoneel ons hete oliethee en stenen cakejes. Het ontbijt in het hotel was ook erg goed, een typisch Shanxi-ontbijt. Toen we in Pingyao aankwamen, haalden de medewerkers van Hongdengliu ons op van het station, en toen we vertrokken, brachten ze ons naar het hogesnelheidstreinstation – het was echt hartverwarmend. Het is een geweldige plek voor senioren en kinderen. Ik ga er zeker weer verblijven de volgende keer dat ik in Pingyao ben. Ik kan het van harte aanbevelen; dit is mijn eerlijke mening. Binnenplaatsen in Shanxi hebben een magische sfeer die je meteen tot rust brengt zodra je binnenstapt...

Receptionist were polite, friendly, helpful & thoughtful. They took initiative to giving us suggestions on 'primary' attractions and recommending us localized dishes, stalls and restaurants, which turned out to be very good. They also arranged to pick us up from the entrance (normal car cannot enter Pingyao Gucheng) and send us to Pingyao Gucheng station (high-speed train station) on our last day - both for free. They helped arrange a private car to take us to the places we wanted to visit (Wang Jia Da Yan & Mianshan) - we had to pay, of course. On check-out day, the receptionist gave us a surprise by gifting us a small bottle of localized vinegar which added on to our pleasant stay. In our travel experiences in more than 10 countries (& many hotels), the receptionist from this hotel was 1 of the best. Room was clean and no cigarette smell inside the room and within hotel premises. Towels were clean and smelled fresh. One small issue was that the water pressure from the hand-held shower head was weak. But the water pressure from rain-shower head was still acceptable. The hotel interior was very ancient-like which was very pretty and met what we expected. No disappointment. Hotel location was very good. A few footsteps away from bustling streets. The bustling streets were full of variety of shops -- restaurants, souvenirs, snacks, attractions, and many more. There was no vegetarian restaurant inside Pingyao Gucheng, however, you could easily ask the restaurant staff to cook vegetarian meal for you -- just need a bit of explaining what you want to exclude from your meal, it's quite easy.

PROS: Great new hotel that's just outside of the Ping Yao's north gate. It was nice to be outside of the old city and get a taste of the local atmosphere. The front staff, cleaning ladies were all incredibly gracious warm and welcoming. The laundry area was well kept, they provided contact solution, womens products and some other extras not usually found in other hotels. Overall the hotel looked spectacular. CONS: I did have a problem with the cigarette smoke in the 1st room we were given and had to look at 3 other rooms before settling on a room across from the ”service” station, all night long there was loud banging and thudding, this wasn't too bad because we were exhausted from our day of walking around. Other than that, we had a great stay!

We stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property. Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it And it does feel and look like a traditional house. You feel you are going back in time. Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs. He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city. Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions. Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him. Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm. On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour. Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class. The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk. The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

De B&B ligt op een rustige locatie in een drukke stad, de inrichting van de binnenplaats is heel lokaal, de kamer is heel schoon en de service is ook heel goed. Wanneer u in het hotel verblijft, halen wij u met een elektrische auto op bij de parkeerplaats buiten de oude stad. Wanneer u het hotel verlaat, brengen wij u ook naar de parkeerplaats. De twee jonge obers renden naar voren om de bagage te dragen en hielpen ook de ouderen. Bij het inchecken helpt de dame bij de receptie u met het markeren van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden en geeft ze u de weg op een kaart van de oude stad. Het enige nadeel is dat de ouder-kindkamer zich in het binnenste deel van de t****e verdieping van de binnenplaats bevindt, wat niet erg vriendelijk is voor ouderen met slechte benen en voeten. De matras is een beetje ongemakkelijk om op te slapen en het voelt alsof je het springnet kunt aanraken. Ik stel voor dat de herbergier een manier vindt om dit probleem op te lossen. Al met al een goede keuze!

Het hotel is prachtig, de service is uitstekend en het personeel is zeer attent en behulpzaam. De locatie is uitstekend, vlakbij de westpoort. Er is personeel dat helpt bij het dragen van grote tassen naar de kamer. De omgeving van het hotel is rustig en rustig. Er is een kleine supermarkt tegenover het hotel. Het hotel heeft een shuttleservice naar het treinstation Pingyaoguchange. We boekten een familiekamer met twee slaapkamers en twee badkamers. De kamer is ruim en schoon, met een complete uitrusting. Er is ook een verhuurservice voor fotoshoots. De outfit is gratis. Je kunt ermee door de stad wandelen. Er zijn extra kosten verbonden aan het laten doen van make-up en haar. Je kunt ook een fotograaf inhuren om foto's te maken in de omgeving van het hotel. Ik raad het zeker aan, want de foto's die je krijgt zijn erg mooi. Als je de kans krijgt om nog eens terug te gaan, zal ik hier zeker weer verblijven.

This hotel was stunning. Located in the heart of the city. Very charming, it feels like going back in time. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Crystal at concierge was there for us all the time. Definitely recommended. Only down point: the hotel is very difficult to find. To keep a higher level of exclusivity there is not a single indication on the street. Took a while and some local help to manage.

Babozza

We hadden veel meer verwacht, gezien de hotelrecensies die we op Tripadvisor hadden gelezen. De kamer was schoon en had de basisvoorzieningen. De man die ons verwelkomde was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hadden een kamer op de begane grond met uitzicht op een opslagruimte en de trap naar de eerste verdieping. We moesten de gordijnen dicht houden om niet van buitenaf gezien te worden. Het bed van onze zoon was niet opgemaakt, dus moesten we er zelf een opmaken; we kregen zelfs geen kussen. Het ontbijt wordt geserveerd op de mooie binnenplaats, maar het wordt niet echt geserveerd. Niemand ruimt de tafels af of neemt restjes en borden weg van de persoon voor je. De locatie is gunstig en de gratis rit naar het station was een zeer welkome bonus. Het hotel bevindt zich achter een traditionele kledingverhuurwinkel, genaamd Red Lantern. Zoek dus niet naar een hotel; alleen naar het Red Lantern-bord. We zouden het met mate aanraden.
