"We chose jetting Welimada from Google maps as we wanted to stay at a tea plantation, it exceeded all our wishes. We were met by Shiva the butler who. Was at our elbows every inch of our stay, wanting grant our every wish more like a genie. The bungalow situated about 400 yards from the main house was immaculate, well equipped with its own kitchen. Bring your own beer there is a liquor shop on the corner as you turn off the main road and commence the climb. Well signed and we were driving our own Tuk Tuk. A place to sit,read, contemplate and practice your meditation and yoga. The only noise is from the chorus of birds overhead. If the shower is cold there is a switch on the wall to operate the heater, I found it after my first cold shower🥶The chef cooks to order often too much but he and Shiva are a delightful working duo. I would recommend 100%"

"The location is excellent. It's within walking distance of a street with restaurants. There's a supermarket and laundry shop nearby, which was very convenient. There's a slight incline, but it's paved and there's no soil erosion, so it's fine even on rainy days. However, some of the alleys are narrow, so you need to be careful when entering and exiting by car. The room was clean, and even though the outside temperature was low, the shower water pressure and temperature were perfect, making for a comfortable stay. The amenities—shampoo, body soap, and a large bath towel—were sufficient. I was very satisfied. They quickly arranged a tuk-tuk to Nine Arches, and the price didn't seem high. It's a good mid-range hotel."

Our room was perfect, everything catered for and it looked out over the garden. We had a tour of the tea plantation, everything explained about the process, which was fascinating. Each meal we had was delicious and portions perfect. Overall wonderful experience."

"Met onze twee kindjes hebben wij twee nachten in capoe house mogen verblijven . Er ontbreekt aan niets en het is werkelijk een geweldige plek met prachtig uitzicht . Al het personeel is mega lief en betrokken en zorgen ervoor dat je niets tekort komt . Ze zijn ook met ons meegewandeld naar een mooie waterval en leggen onderweg veel uit over de natuur . Ook voor onze kinderen waren ze ronduit fantastisch . Eten is ook echt top, ontbijt en diner was voor ons het beste tot nu toe. Gezien het echt boven op een berg ligt was het met ons zoontje van bijna 2 wel aanpoten omdat er veel steile randen zijn en het niet op erg kleine kinderen is ingericht , maar dat ligt niet ah hotel maar is wel een afweging wanneer je met kleine kindjes deze kant op wil. Voor onze dochter van 4 was het een top plek. Zwembad is wat klein, vooral als alle gasten er tegelijk willen liggen dan past het niet . Prijs vinden wij wel zeer fors , vooral voor sri lanka ."

"The last 3 nights of our 2 week trip we spent at Anasa Wellness Resort which we were very much looking forward to and deliberately scheduled for the end of our trip to wind down, relax, recalibrate before going back to busy lifestyles. Anasa Wellness Resort is situated in the mountains, a short drive from Ella and nestled amongst tea plantations. The view and surrounding area is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to such a view in the very cute and cosy chalets was wonderful. There are 10 chalets, all the same and therefore such not many guest so quite exclusive. The chalets along with the main chalet where the reception and restaurant is, is very clean and well looked after. From the website and appearance upon arriving and general outside appearance it looks really wonderful - given it's ranked as a 5* luxury wellness resort - and it is, however there are some small attention to detail that could be improved to live up to its 5* ranking. You are given slippers/flip flops to use in the room and or for the wellness area, however looking at them they look clearly worn - second hand. Apparently this is for the reason that they reuse their plastic slippers for sustainability (just so you are aware! Luckily we also had our own!) Given that Anasa Wellness Resort is so secluded from the rest of the island (it almost looks like driving into a prison with high fences and security, which is reassuring but also can be daunting) they offer really a number of different activities: basketball and tennis courts, mini golf, state of the art gym and spa - even walking down from your chalet to the area with all the actives is a little walk itself, which is really fine and not difficult, however would be if you have any disabilities or trouble walking. That said, they do offer a golf cart option should you need it. We were a bit disappointed with the wellness area and in the end did not use any of it - the pool alone is placed really bizarrely that actually most of the time it’s in the shade and already its quite a chilly climate versus Ella or other parts of the island. They do however offer a free yoga session which is nice and then your little walk back uphill after - you’ve had a good workout ;) We were really looking forward to the food at Anasa Wellness Resort given what we had read about it and it also being a wellness resort - we had chosen the half board option and it was good food but nothing to write home about. Quite basic and simple. Anasa Wellness Resort has the price tag and outer appearance of luxury however the service (although friendly and helpful) and execution does not quite bridge that gap. They do not advertise or market their property given high profile guests that they receive several times a year, which from observation, covers them financially that no extra effort is really given when regular guest stay, again for the price tag and exclusivity you’re booking it for."

"Je hebt vanaf de weg niet in de gaten hoe mooi het uitzicht is als je eenmaal binnen bent. Je hebt uitzicht op Ella rock en links dáárvan Little Adams Peak. Wij hadden 2 villa’s met daar tussenin een klein zwembad. De kamers zijn ruim, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Je hebt een ruim balkon met hetzelfde uitzicht als bij het het restaurant. Het ontbijt is prima, en maakt het met het uitzicht speciaal. Het personeel is super gastvrij en helpen je overal mee."
