"The hotel is high on Monte Verita; the view is really beautiful. The quiet location is great. The tea garden is also worth seeing. Unfortunately, at arrival we were not informed or instructed where the breakfast room was. It was not a nice reception. The information flowed more than delicate. The thin info film in the room is not complete. We could take our dog with; that was already positive. However, we received nothing for the dogs' pause; no water in the room, no dog bed, no welcome goods. On Saturday, a wedding society was found. Nothing negative, just that we did not find a parking place when we returned from dinner. There would the hotel guests have to find at least a reserved parking place? On Sunday, at beautiful weather, the table was covered for breakfast. Without questioning whether this would be OK for us... Generally unfriendly staff. The rooms without balcony with original building furniture and lamps. The bathroom is very uncomfortable. To shower you need to go practically over the toilet to get into the bathtub. The window cannot be opened. The furnace, from the last century, is also expected to be accualized. All in all simply lacks a quantine style and enthusiasm."

"This was a superb and very comfortable hotel. We were upgraded to a family room with balcony and lake views although the extra space included a room with bunk beds which we did not need. The hotel has had a total refurbishment in the past few years and is contemporary but not too modern. Service was top notch. Although there was a wedding on the night we arrived our small group ate in the restaurant and had outstanding food. Superb breakfast."

"Dit is een prachtige, modernere resorthotel met service dat precies wat een luxe resort in een mooie locatie zou moeten zijn. We hebben ons verblijf enorm genoten, hoewel het regent in de meeste tijd in Ascona. Het winkelgebied van de kleine stad Ascona is prachtig en een gemakkelijke wandeling van het hotel. Van de complimentaire privé-opname van de Locarno treinstation die we vooraf hadden geregeld, tot de rij naar de ferrydok voor onze volgende stop, was de dienst onjuist. De kamer was prachtig, met genoeg ruimte om te ontpakken en te bewaren met alle moderne voorzieningen. De badkamer was groot met een van de beste douches ooit. De enige kleine hicup waren de deur sloten die vrij moeilijk kunnen zijn totdat je de klap krijgt, maar we werden verteld dat ze dat deze winter zullen veranderen. Ze hebben talrijke restaurant keuzes en we eten bij drie van de vier keuzes. De Marina was zeer goed, de Cassetta, die wij hadden gereserveerd, moesten sluiten omdat het buiten eten en regenten was, en we werden onmiddellijk geïnformeerd door het personeel en andere opties gegeven. Het restaurant La Brezza, de twee Michelin-sterrenrestaurant, was bijzonder, en een zeer leuke avond met prachtig eten. De kok die met ons kwam praten was net als iedereen met wie we spraken. Een van onze top twee maaltijden hebben we ooit gehad en waard de hoge kosten. Ons minste favoriete was het Eden Roc restaurant, maar dat had een prachtige salade bar, en was waar het uitstekende ontbijtbuffet werd geserveerd in de ochtend. De bar is zowel binnen als buiten centraal gelegen en is een prachtige plek om te ontspannen, vaak met een pianospeler en een die een heerlijke vocalist was. Het was een groot aantal zitplaatsen in het hele resort, die ook goed voor ons werkten vanwege het weer. Het binnenzwembad met jacuzzi was geweldig. Het is een goede zaak dat u krijgt wat u betaalt, en hoewel de kosten hoog zijn, hebben we geen klachten en hebben we daar onze tijd genoten."
