"Erg comfortabel groot hotel aan de rand van de aangename stad. We hadden een grote goed uitgeruste kamer aan de voorkant met een groot balkon met uitzicht op de bergen. Alle zeer goed uitgerust. uitstekende en uitgebreide ontbijt catering voor alle smaak. We hebben tweemaal gegeten in het restaurant (bij het oudere gebouw). Erg aangenaam kamer. Eten uitstekend, maar service een beetje langzaam. Parkeerplaats is een beetje irritant. Beperkte parkeerplaatsen beschikbaar voor 15 euro, maar we waren te bescheiden om te betalen dat dus moesten parkeren in de bijkantoorparkeerplaats een beetje verder.."

Hôtel du Vieux Pont

"Just to be clear, the current photos showing an old stone bridge do not, I think, relate to the hotel. I was a bit confused to start with i.e. 'hotel old bridge' and a picture of an old bridge. But then read the notes to the photos and they relate to a place nearby. The Hotel du Vieux Pont is a small hotel in the centre of Mazeres on a terraced road i.e. very typically French. Two star. When we arrived the place was locked up but a quick call and 'madame' appeared. Normally, my Anglo-Saxon nature would get annoyed but it's the south of France and one learns to chill. Madame arrived and was super friendly and we had a great chat (all in French i must add). Hotel is modern inside and clean and presentable. Whilst there is a reception - it was unstaffed whilst we were there (you get in and out the front door by a code). To be honest this worked wonders for us. No lift but wide - if turning - tiled staircase with modern tiles. (The whole can not have been redone that long ago). Rooms very clean and comfortable. Was really quite impressed. Level of amenities appropriate for a two star. But was much better than i had imagined. Apart from the rooms, not much else to the hotel. Seemed perhaps at the pricier end of the spectrum but - again - worked just perfect for us. Met Madame whilst we were wandering around Mazeres the next morning. She came over and said hello and had a further chat. Really wonderful. PS: Was confused by the reference to a restaurant in a prior review. There was nothing like that when we were there."

"Very comfy beds. A bit strange decor in corridors! Very helpful and kind receptionist who even filled up my hot water bottle with boiling water so I wouldn’t be cold in bed. Superbly located in the centre and close to station. Our bedroom had lovely view over river."

"Goed gelegen hotel. 2 spijt: geen lift onze kamer was op u 2e verdieping, hard als je l artrose, slecht beddengoed. Zeer goed ontbijt. Waarachtig service. Schoon uitzicht op de brug en op de Ariège. Restaurant met zeer goede uitzicht. Eindtoevoeging een beetje hoog "
