Changbai Mountain Landscape International Eco-Exchange Center — where “eco-exchange” really means exchanging knee joints for enlightenment 🐕🦺❄️ This old dog picked this place as a first-timer to Changbaishan because on paper it reads like a dream: ✔️ 5-minute walk to the Changbai Mountain VIP entrance ✔️ Hot springs inside the compound ✔️ “Eco-exchange” — which I later learned refers to exchanging comfort for character development Location? Prime marrow bone. 🦴 Reality, however, is a scenic winter obstacle course. The hotel is thoughtfully scattered across three separate buildings — one for check-in and breakfast, another for hot springs, and because suspense is important in life, the Food Plaza lives in yet another building. In winter. On ice. With wind that slaps. Not exactly age-old-dog friendly. I waddled. I shuffled. I negotiated with my knees. At one point I believe my soul lagged behind and had to catch up. To offset this Arctic triathlon, the staff are available 24/7 on WeChat, responding faster than I can type “why did I choose this hotel?” Efficiency deserves a respectful tail wag. 🐾 Now let’s talk Food Plaza, the hotel’s redemption arc. The food is genuinely scrumptious, warming, and emotionally supportive after being bullied by Changbai winds. Takeaway is allowed — which means you carry it yourself. Eco-exchange again. This dog fetches his own dinner. 🥸 Then there’s the hot spring schedule. Opens at 13:30. When the mountain is closed and the hot spring is closed what exactly is an old dog meant to do? Stare into the snow? Question life decisions? Age visibly? Ah yes — write this review. ✔️ ⚠️ Now, the bone that refuses to go down smoothly. Despite having a relaxed stay, I felt continuously pressed for a 5-star review — on departure day from the first meeting in the lobby to gentle reminders all the way up the bus. At that point, it stopped feeling like hospitality and started feeling like an exam I didn’t sign up for. It made me sad, actually — because it suggests staff performance may be chained to guest reviews like sled dogs pulling corporate KPIs. Trip.com, if you’re listening: no guest should ever be pressured to review. The moment reviews are pushed, ratings stop being honest and start being decorative. This old dog is an independent reviewer. I don’t bark on command. I don’t roll over for stars. And the harder the push, the more my paw hovers over the lowest rating out of pure principle. Still — despite the ice, the walking, the soul-searching — the location alone makes this a smart base for Changbaishan first-timers. Brand New hotel near changbaisan railway station. Have transfer from railway station to hotel so comfortable. Helpful staffs and good service upgrade room for us Have convenience store and food near hotel Breakfast delicious have washing machine use free. Have snow everywhere very exciting for my childs

1. Gratis pick-up van het spoorwegstation De gratis pick-up service van het spoorwegstation was soepel en ongelooflijk handig. Het maakte onze aankomst stressvrij en stelde de toon voor de rest van onze verblijf. Kamer 2 De kamer was ruime en onverwacht schoon, met de toegevoegde comfort van een verwarming in de waskamera duidelijk plus punt, vooral in het koude weer. 3. Gastvrijheid De eigenaar, Mr Feng, en zijn medewerkers, met name Mr Xia, zijn juwelen, ze zijn uiterst handig, en hun intentie om de gasten te helpen is echt, ze geven steun met een glimlach en laten nooit enige weerzin tonen. Hun inspanningen maakten ons verblijf comfortabel en herinnerbaar. 4. Bijstand en regelingen Mr Feng en zijn personeel gingen boven en verder om onze reis te verzachten... en ze organiseerden een vervoer naar Xue Li Mountain en hielpen ons tickets te kopen tegen een redelijke prijs. Mr Feng kwam zelfs met ons naar een restaurant om ons in te brengen naar een nieuw gerecht, wat een heerlijke ervaring was. De volgende dag, Mr Xia hielp ons tickets te kopen naar Changbai Mountain (Heavenly Lake). Hij zorgde ook voor het verlaten van de busstation en later ophalen, waardoor het proces volledig ongemakkelijk werd gemaakt. 5. Dag Dit hotel heeft een speciale plek in ons hart... en toen we vertrokken, verlieten ze ons vroeg in de ochtend op het spoorwegstation... en Mr Feng zelf kwam tot ons afscheid te nemen... en raakte ons diep aan. 6. De laatste gedachten Hun gastvrijheid bevestigde ons geloof in de mensheid... en de vriendelijkheid, zorg en echte inspanningen van Mr Feng en zijn team maakten dit verblijf onvergetelijk... liefde en dankbaarheid aan hen allen.

Erdaobaihe is a really sweet, cozy little town. Although it’s not located in the main town area, it is just opposite the beautiful pine forest, which makes the surroundings very peaceful. There are free buses available to travel within the town, which is very convenient. However, as we can’t read Chinese, we mostly relied on Didi instead. Getting a Didi can be a bit challenging due to the limited number of drivers, but as long as you’re willing to wait 5–15 minutes, you should be able to get one. The people in the town are very warm and welcoming. We visited Enduli, and it was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable. The morning view from our room was magical. The room itself was spacious, and the bathroom was equipped with a smart toilet with a heated seat, which was a nice touch. There was a small issue where we found a strand of hair on the bed when we opened the bedsheet. We didn’t make a fuss as I had my own disposable bedsheet prepared. Despite this minor incident, the overall stay was wonderful. What really made this place special was Aunty Wu. She was always there for us and even woke up at 6am just to bid us goodbye. When we were looking for laundry services, she kindly offered to wash our clothes in-house. With my OCD, I was especially touched that she even warmed my laundry bag for me - such a thoughtful gesture. Will definitely be back

The room is so so cute. It was a really nice and comfortable stay. The room has all that one needs and it’s practical and functional. The beddings are clean and comfortable. The design is well thought out. I enjoy spending time there. Tianchi was not open the whole time I was there so I spent a bit more time in the room and it’s nice! The owner and family are very friendly and helpful as well. They help as much as they can even though I asked so many questions. They’re quite attentive to their guests. I was a bit down because of Tianchi but they made it a good time nonethelss! I bought breakfast separately for the days I want to eat and they have nice sets of breakfast. There is a washing machine and a dryer and they’re quite busy. Still, it’s very convenient. The location is in walking distance to the Reindeer park, duck park, and distribution center too. So that’s a plus. It’s about 1-1.5 km away from the busy streets and the food. If you can’t hail a ride, it’s still possible to walk (though it’s very cold). It was a lovely stay and I loved the place!

I had a wonderful stay at Changbaishan Hailinyuan Fashion Hotel! The hotel is very affordable, making it a great option for budget travelers without compromising on comfort. What really stood out was the owner’s incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the owner went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. They provided transport from Changbaishan Station to the hotel and even offered to take us to local attractions at no extra charge, which made exploring the area so much easier. The photos below show the owner fetching us to the attractions, which was such a thoughtful touch! The hotel is located right in town, so it’s very convenient. There are many food options nearby, as well as a convenience store, which made grabbing snacks or essentials very easy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall environment of the hotel was welcoming and cozy. The owner is truly a kind and thoughtful person, always ready to help and ensure guests have a smooth and pleasant stay. I felt really looked after throughout our visit. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel with excellent service, a convenient location, and a personal touch, I highly recommend Changbaishan Hailinyuan Fashion Hotel. The combination of affordability, hospitality, and convenience makes it an outstanding choice for anyone visiting the area.

The first visit to this hotel was full of warmth and overwhelming hospitality. I still can't forget how they welcomed us the moment we arrived at the hotel. Firstly, we were overwhelmed by the staff during our arrival. They all came out to greet us and help with our luggages and belongings all the way in to the hotel. Secondly, with the seamless check in to our rooms and fruit platter, every gesture was well thought by the hosts. Thirdly, they prepared a sumptuous dinner for us. Simple local delicacies yet tasted really good. The number of ginsengs in the appetiser surprised us! From the portion to the presentation of food, we can taste the difference and feel they put in their heart to make everything better. Lady boss was generous to treat us a bottle of local rice wine during our mealtime. Tasted really good and special! We like that drink!! Additionally, we were asked for timing to eat breakfast and they would prepare that before our specific timing. They even asked us for our preference and customise breakfast for us. Breakfast was served and tasted as good as dinner! Freshly prepared and done meticulously by the kitchen. Lastly, lady boss gave us an impromptu complimentary tea session after dinner. A unique and interesting experience indeed. Never seen and tried it before. It's a heating device with net on it, put the heating pot for stirring and cooking our own tea from scratch. Meanwhile, we have the finger snacks and nuts to roast on the heating rack (as shown in the pictures) while waiting for our tea. In between, they would guide us how to prepare the tea. It was a chill and relaxing session. We enjoyed chit chatting while roasting our tea in the cafe. It felt so warmth especially when it was snowing heavily outside. The vibes were superb! I had many enquiries and the lady at the counter helped me out a lot without hesitation. She tried all her means to help us. The lady at the hot spring was very friendly and provide good services too! The staff from the hot spring, restaurant, concierge, driver and even lady boss all were very attentive, friendly and nice at any point of time during our stay. Pretty impressive indeed. Giving all credits to every single staff. Amazing team! They gave us more than we could ever imagined from services to food to hospitality. Thank you for giving us an amazing and memorable stay! Overall it was a great and enjoyable stay at this hotel. Definitely recommend everyone to visit them and feel their positive energy. Certainly can't wait for our next visit to Chang Bai Shan again!!!

The room is new, clean, and has no cigarette smell. Luggage storage is available. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Zhongyang Street, near a famous ice cream shop and a tasty mala sausage stall. The area at the end of Zhongyang Street is beautiful and less crowded. I would stay here again.

We are 4 people from Cambodia. My family were lucky to choose to stay in this beautiful hotel resort. 1. The Room : very clean and many room style to choose like Chinese or Japanese or normal. 2. The location : is very near town just only 5mins Near Changbaishan railway station just only 5mins Close to Scenic deer park and riding floating river 3. Sevice: excellent. The boss is very caring us. He took us from station to the hotel and back to station for FREE. He help us a lot to buy Mountain ticket, booking car, and bus to Xuexiang. 4. Hotel also Free Breakfast with delicious food. The kitchen service is great. They are kind and outgoing. 😍 Thank you hotel boss for everything. We will recommend your hotel to our relatives and friends. And we will come back to see again in Changbaishan. 🙏

Good location in up and coming new development suburb, away from the city crowd. Public bus#2 ply outside hotel is a plus factor. Walking distance to the numerous food outlets ( especially Korean). Hotel travel desk staff helpful in mountain trip bookings. Hot breakfast food is palatable. Must try the package of Hot Spring pool after the mountain day exploration. Spacious room/apartment and support staff from counter to butler service is commendable.
