"Tijdens een georganiseerde reis naar Puglia, hebben we een nacht in deze faciliteit verblijven. De kamer was modern en goed ingericht, evenals de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes. Het faciliteit is een beetje ver van het centrum van Altamura, maar bereikt met een wandeling van ongeveer 15 minuten. Ik vond het dinermenu niet erg leuk, maar het personeel was voorzichtig en bevredigend in enkele variaties. Het is over het algemeen een goede ervaring geweest."

"Met 3 stellen overnacht in B & B Stupor Mundi tijdens het lopen van de Via Peuceta (= Cammino Materano). Ruime kamers, schoon sanitair, heel vriendelijke ontvangst en een heerlijk ontbijt. Meer dan het gebruikelijke Italiaanse ontbijt van koffie met croissant of brioche!"

"This lovely, 17th century palazzo was our home for a week as part of a walking holiday. Every morning we walked down through the old city walls to our bus, parked outside in the modern town we never visited except to drive through. Our bedroom was one of the ones close to the stairwell, with a high, beautifully painted ceiling and enough room to have a party in it. The bed was comfortable and spotless, the bathroom spacious and well-equipped - but for one thing: I could have done with at least one other hook in the bathroom, as well as a chest of drawers in the bedroom. There isn't really enough room for the clothes of two people in the wardrobe. The breakfast in the Caravaggio room was lovely and the service friendly and obliging. We had a tiny balcony overlooking a side-street where the barber's shop just beneath entertained us with their enthusiastic conversations - and I'm not being sarcastic: we loved hearing them. I don't know how the temperature would be in high summer - our air-con unit was of an old-fashioned type which we liked because it didn't dry the air out as much as a modern one, but it wasn't particularly cold either. It was perfect in mid-September. Altamura doesn't have many foreign tourists as yet - we were made to feel extremely welcome in the shops and in the restaurant we ate in. All in all, I loved the hotel, the ambience, the feeling of being in the heart of a historic Italian town."
