"Kalappura homestay was great for us - we had a clean and spacious room with A/C and there were two big common areas to make use of too, which were lovely. It was straightforward to book a houseboat trip overnight from the homestay. We opted for a traditional private overnight houseboat, with A/C and meals included. We were looked after very well! I ate some of the best food of our trip on the boat and it was a very memorable experience that I would definitely recommend. The homestay also have a new golden retriever puppy (Bella), who was an absolute delight."

"Although I did not stay at Classic Regency, I visited the property for lunch and an Ayurveda spa session after spending time at Alleppey Beach, which is conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel. Here is my review - Positives: 1. The food was served quickly, warm, and tasted delicious. 2. The hotel appears well-maintained and hygienic. 3. The washrooms were clean and properly maintained. 4. Excellent location — right opposite the beach and easily walkable. Negatives: 1. Food: Unfortunately, there was a fly in my sweet dish (Rasamalai), which was quite disappointing. 2. Ayurveda Spa (INR 2750): The spa experience was extremely disappointing. The service was done by a staff member named Elizabeth, who appeared untrained. She did not speak or understand Hindi or English, making communication very difficult despite my attempts. The massage lacked proper technique — it felt like oil was being rubbed hurriedly without any real skill, pressure application, or attention to muscle tension. There was no therapeutic approach whatsoever. I strongly advise guests to reconsider booking a spa service here. I have already shared this feedback with the front desk manager. Based on my experience, I would rate the spa service 1/5."

"DO NOT VISIST THIS PLACE. You will certainly spoil your holiday. Stay away from this place and its ZOMBI, rude, and ill-mannered owner (Mr. Mathew). Firstly, It's not a resort, it's a house with a couple of rooms which do not have any facility like of a resort. There is No restaurant, no swimming pool, no room service, no Porter, no front desk. etc. Secondly there's no sea view at all. Zero hospitality. The blankets they gave were disgustingly old and smelled so awful that it was impossible to sleep. The stench was unbearable! Bathroom is very dirty. Horrible room with absolutely no hygiene. The photos on the website are completely misleading compared to the actual condition of the property. What you see online is nothing like the real situation – it's a total scam!. Real and present condition of the property is way different that what is shown in the pics. Absolutely NO maintenance. Garden, verandah, the rooms, the parking area, entrance, walkway etc. all are in very poor condition and dirty. Price is really not worth. Worst experience I had in my entire Kerala trip. Overall its PATHETIC experience. These people have full potential to ruined your vocations. (Please refer the attached pics, sufficient to show the real condition of so called Resort (?))"

"Made us wait including my dad who is a cancer patient for 1 hour to get an auto so they could take us to boat• We booked a deluxe room and the description didn't match room - There was no wifi, no toiletries, no TV in room, the room was full of dust, no shampoo, no hand soap!! the food is like a cheap PG food- not even salad or a dessert, terrible just terrible• refunded me 2500 INR on a booking made with 15000 INR but honestly this doesn't justifys• I live in Europe and I wish I had made booking through hotels.se because they would have refunded my full money.
