"I visited this resort together with my mother, we stayed for 5 nights. Overall, it was a nice experience, but it did not leave me longing to come back asap. What we enjoyed: - The location & panorama: You might not have the most perfect view of the sea from all rooms, but you have great vistas from all main areas (pool, restaurants, especially the SPA). - The serenity. Even though the hotel was fully booked, you did not feel it. Everything felt relaxed. - The spacious room. - The broad selection of high-quality fitness classes: I especially enjoyed the variety of Yoga they were offering. Room for improvement: - The breakfast: For one, at that price category, there should be a small offering of dishes that is served to your table. I do not like standing in line for my poached eggs or else. Secondly, the choice is always the same - again, this is fine for a "regular" hotel, I would expect more in this category. - The dinner: We never got our main course hot. Which was a pity, as it was excellently seasoned! We experienced the whole range from cold to lukewarm, which is not good when having a beef filet. Additionally, while the hotel was serving many deliciously-looking deserts, if you are not allowed to eat dairy products, you have to stick to sorbet or fruit. Again - this is not a huge issue, but I would expect a bit more in this regard. Things you should know: - There are many rooms that are facing the pool, but also a range of rooms facing the spa area and a lot of green (and nothing else). You have beautiful sunsets there, but might miss the sea view a bit (at least from your terrace). - The friendliness in service differs, at least in our experience: Great and friendly team at the reception, partially stressed service staff at the restaurant. Many were friendly, others were just stressed and in a hurry. Maybe the long season was weighing down on them. Summing it up: This is a beautifully built resort, very clean, many friendly team members and good food. Nevertheless, to get 5 out of 5 and make me want to return, a few things were missing."

Near the valley of the temples (10 minute drive) and close by the old town of Agrigento which has a few super restaurants (host will recommend some top choices) to go to. Lovely little pool in the garden to while away a few hours at and breakfast in the morning outside in the gorgeous garden. If only all overnight stays were like this one ….. 10/10 isn’t a good enough score"

"Run down room. Booked a room which looked good on their website. On arrival the room I booked was not available as problem with plumbing apparently. If I knew I wouldn’t get the room I booked I wouldn’t have stayed there. For the owner all the rooms are the same. Well it is not the case. My room was in poor condition. Why on earth the owner is advertising a room he can’t provide. That room should not be advertised. I booked on the 22/10 and on my arrival on 12/11/25 the plumbing was still not fixed. Same with Breakfast he knows he can’t provide it but no mention on his website. Once again he told me problems with plumbing. Got a refund of 5 euros per person. He charged me twice for the visitor tax, luckily I noticed on my booking that I had already paid. He refunded me the next morning. The TV is extremely small. You can hardly see it from the bed. The bathroom was in poor condition. A cockerel close by wake you up at 4am. The family room was close to the entrance gate and the parking so very noisy when people are going out. A total disappointment."

"Just had a lovely week at Il Marchese - we found the staff to be fantastic, particularly Elviro who provided an excellent breakfast every morning and was so helpful! The pool area is lovely - sun beds perhaps not the best though. You can get great paninis and focaccia through the day and there is a pool bar. The hotel is in such a peaceful location although you definitely need a car as there isn’t too much close by. The room was a good size but I can’t give 5 stars as we had a couple of issues - the shower didn’t work very well and we often had to hold the operating knob so it would stay on. We also had a problem with the toilet not re-filling but we were able to fix it. There were quite a few ants at one point but the cleaners put an ant trap in the room which helped. We got massages on two occasions and they were lovely! We didn’t use the spa but we saw the facilities whilst getting the massages and it looked like a nice area. We tried to book a joint spa session (80 Euro per couple for two hours) but we were told it was only available for a private booking which was 160 - we thought that was a bit expensive. All in all, we had a lovely stay and the staff were very accommodating. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet location with the option to go to busy Sciacca which is about a 10 minute drive away."

"leuk hotel. rustige ligging. op loop afstand aan een boulevard wat kleine eet en drinkgelegenheden. Mooi strand met voldoende ligstoelen en leuk strand tent met voldoende eet en drankjes. Zwembad wat kleiner en paar bedjes. Personeel vriendelijk maar verstaan weinig anders dan italiaans. Kamers oud en wat schimmel, sommige wel gerenoveerd dan prima. Animatie goed aanwezig. Eten in restaurant druk en gehorig, buiten vriendelijker en beter. A la carte vonden wij geweldig . Hotel is schoon en kamers ook alleen de toiletten verdienen wat meer aandacht. Auto huur vanuit hotel gedaan was prima geregeld en geen problemen mee gehad. over het algemeen prijs kwaliteit een prima hotel"

"Our stay at Hera Rooms & Suites in Agrigento was great. This is a completely new building with a luxurious and very modern design. Everything is done with great attention to detail. The host, Alberto, was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and passionate about what he does. He answered every question with care and gave us plenty of recommendations for things to see and do in the area. His love for detail and hospitality is reflected in every corner of the space. Breakfast was a highlight. Not only was it beautifully prepared, but Alberto also personally explained each dish, sharing where the ingredients came from. The cake baked by Alberto’s wife was absolutely delicious. The room was very comfortable, great designed, and offered everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Parking was easy and convenient, with a private area on the property that had plenty of space. While the property is located slightly outside the city center, it’s only about a 15-minute walk uphill to reach the heart of Agrigento. The Valley of the Temples is just a short drive away by car. Overall, Hera Rooms & Suites offers a perfect comfort and great hospitality. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Agrigento. Thank you, Alberto, for a wonderful experience!"
