So the stay was okay. Let's start with the bad. The room are old feeling. The bed was poorly made and still had dirt marks on the bath tub. The evening guy was not helpful at all. He either was gone and not at the desk or just looked like he did not wanna be there at all. I could not see his name tag so not sure what that is. Location was good. Was a mall across the street and some restaurants near by. What made us stay and keep this from a 1 star is the bar guy William. He was so nice and help us were he could. Some things on front desk he did not know but he tried and that more then I felt the other guy did. He made a great old fashion. They where out of a few things but he had the knowledge and Google to figure a way to make it work. He even brought to food to our room when we had to much going on to wait in the lobby. He was definitely the good on this trip. I do think the price of the rooms where a little high and your paying for the courtyard name not as much for the experience of thr room.

This place is kinda run down, and the difficulty of finding good staff was evident. The guy at the desk was great but had that harried, herding cats kind of look; I got the feel that they're trying to do a good job but just can't keep up. With maintenance, with scheduling, with staffing and training, with everything. The room was clean and adequate, but repairs weren't done well or at all, and age and neglect definitely show. Basically a perfect metaphor for Abilene itself. Overall the experience was adequate for a place to sleep, but I couldn't recommend anyone stay here.

If you're looking for a really nice hotel for a longer stay, this is not the hotel to look for. But, if you just need a cheap hotel for a night or two, you could certainly do much worse. It was clean, the bed was comfy enough, and it had enough amenities for the one night I was there. Sure, it could use some upgrades or repairs here or there, but overall, it's good enough. At the end of the day, it's a good, cheap, no-frills hotel perfect for a shorter stay.

The hotel was but really needs some overhaul to bring it up to speed. Upon entering we learned we had been bumped from a king to two queens.... not a deal breaker but we do enjoy snuggling in a large knd bed. Our reservation clearly stated king but the front desk said that they would have to charge an additional fee to move us to a king. Not worth it for a single night! The room was OK, but nothing outstanding. The bath was less than expected, with missing tiles, moldy caulking around the bathtub, and the cabinets in the bathroom looked pretty beat up... not sure someone hadn't taken a knife to it at some point. But the most disgusting item was the rusty door jamb... It really looked bad, and nothing a couple of coats of paint couldn't help. The beds were comfy and the water pressure was fine, and the breakfast bar was well stocked and actually surprisingly tasty. Would I stay here again? Not likely but it was fine for one night.

We stayed here without planning for it in advance; our travel plans changed that necessitated an early departure. I was thoroughly impressed by the staff member at the front desk being so helpful, and even more impressed by our room. When you stay at a Motel 6, you shouldn’t be expecting a room on par with what you might find at the Ritz-Carlton. That said, the room we got might as well have been Motel 6’s equivalent of a penthouse suite. It was immaculately spotless, and the 50” TV mounted on the wall lended itself well to the ambiance. It’s clear that the proprietors of this particular Motel 6 care about the little things, and it is easily one of the best Motel 6’s we have had the pleasure of staying at. I am only sorry we did not get the chance to stay longer, or have the opportunity to make use of the kitchenette in our room. The only negative observation I have to note is that the Wi-Fi signal in our part of the property was not strong. We stayed in the furthest corner from the front office, so perhaps that was to be expected. However, for a clean, comfortable room, I will gladly sacrifice reliable Wi-Fi.

My job is 100% travel so I pick up on the small details that really make the difference. No matter what the request big or small they always responded in a positive professional manner. Housekeeping excellent very detailed. Management Jolinn the GM and Martina in my opinion represents the standard why Marriott is the largest in the world. There are other Marriott hotels in the area that are also nice however I will return to this location when I am in town for business because great service always rise to the top. If you’re an older gentleman like me you will love this place because it has “it”. aThis is the way a business is supposed to run in America, as you truly can not just see but feel the compassion to help you coming from each employee which makes this place truly feel like a home awayfrom home. So fear of, stay here a feel welcome, relax and get one of the best night’s sleep uin a hostel you’ve set hard. The little things gtruly do make a huge impact on the environment of a place and this is an “emerald” in the rough haha. You will easily see why this has been one of the longest running hotels here in Abilene. P.S. I’m not condoning this but if you youngsters truly want to experience the night life in Abilene there us a liquid store and. 24/7 Whataburger both within about 50 steps of the front entrance. The hotel was but really needs some overhaul to bring it up to speed. Upon entering we learned we had been bumped from a king to two queens.... not a deal breaker but we do enjoy snuggling in a large knd bed. Our reservation clearly stated king but the front desk said that they would have to charge an additional fee to move us to a king. Not worth it for a single night! The room was OK, but nothing outstanding. The bath was less than expected, with missing tiles, moldy caulking around the bathtub, and the cabinets in the bathroom looked pretty beat up... not sure someone hadn't taken a knife to it at some point. But the most disgusting item was the rusty door jamb... It really looked bad, and nothing a couple of coats of paint couldn't help. The beds were comfy and the water pressure was fine, and the breakfast bar was well stocked and actually surprisingly tasty. Would I stay here again? Not likely but it was fine for one night.

We stayed here without planning for it in advance; our travel plans changed that necessitated an early departure. I was thoroughly impressed by the staff member at the front desk being so helpful, and even more impressed by our room. When you stay at a Motel 6, you shouldn’t be expecting a room on par with what you might find at the Ritz-Carlton. That said, the room we got might as well have been Motel 6’s equivalent of a penthouse suite. It was immaculately spotless, and the 50” TV mounted on the wall lended itself well to the ambiance. It’s clear that the proprietors of this particular Motel 6 care about the little things, and it is easily one of the best Motel 6’s we have had the pleasure of staying at. I am only sorry we did not get the chance to stay longer, or have the opportunity to make use of the kitchenette in our room. The only negative observation I have to note is that the Wi-Fi signal in our part of the property was not strong. We stayed in the furthest corner from the front office, so perhaps that was to be expected. However, for a clean, comfortable room, I will gladly sacrifice reliable Wi-Fi.

My job is 100% travel so I pick up on the small details that really make the difference. No matter what the request big or small they always responded in a positive professional manner. Housekeeping excellent very detailed. Management Jolinn the GM and Martina in my opinion represents the standard why Marriott is the largest in the world. There are other Marriott hotels in the area that are also nice however I will return to this location when I am in town for business because great service always rise to the top. If you're looking for a really nice hotel for a longer stay, this is not the hotel to look for. But, if you just need a cheap hotel for a night or two, you could certainly do much worse. It was clean, the bed was comfy enough, and it had enough amenities for the one night I was there. Sure, it could use some upgrades or repairs here or there, but overall, it's good enough. At the end of the day, it's a good, cheap, no-frills hotel perfect for a shorter stay.

We travel frequently and our typical choice of hotel is Hampton Inn. This hotel does not meet our expectations for what we have come to expect from HI. We have stayed at this hotel three times and likely will not be back. The hotel is older, and needs serious updating. Cleanliness is not as expected—mold in the bathrooms, cracked tiles in the bathrooms, dust/debris under the sink, stained lampshade. The beds vary in comfort, but our last one in room 202 was not comfortable, and creaked with movement. As far as service, everyone we encountered was pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast attendant was truly on top of his game. This hotel holds promise, but needs some work.
