Hot Springs hotels in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan

It was a wonderful stay. The hotel management was excellent, and the room was in great condition. I want to give a special mention to Miss Gotanda 五反田, who guided me after check-in. Her detailed explanations and warm smile set a positive tone even before I checked in. The hotel's hot spring overlooks Sakurajima volcano, enjoy hot spring while watching the sunrise was a truly delightful experience. I will definitely come back again next time.

The room, breakfast and Onsen is fantastic. Our family enjoyed our stay there.

I love the three private onsen. They are on first come first serve basis without reservation needed. People mostly will finish their session within 45mins basically so I have the chance to try all three private rooms. They all have good views and allow group of 2-5 people basically. The interior design is magnificent and gorgeous. One of the room even can gaze stars directly from the onsen tub. My stay here is comfortable. Didn't have the chance to try the onsen in room. The breakfast is Japanese and Western style. Taste good and look very appetizing. The view from the restaurant is beautiful either. Will definitely recommend adding the breakfast buffet but note that the time for breakfast is 07:00-09:30 (L.O. 09:00) if you're not an early bird.

Amazing hotel in Kagoshima, the room window is directly facing the Sakurajima volcano. Mesmerising to look at it for sunrise and sunset. The hot spring spa is also great, and the restaurants are also super good quality. Highly recommended.

Nice and comfortable resort; beautiful beach; first time experience hot sand bath in the hotel. Really enjoy. We are very lucky to have a passionate Taiwan trainee at the reception to help us going around the resort as we don't speak any Japanese. The breakfast buffet is delicious with many choice. Definitely would like to visit again and spend more days there next trip

Average hotel. Room too hot can’t control temperature even aircon turned down to minimum. Irritating motion sensor light in the hall keeps coming on if you move at night. Average small onsen. Quite a soul less hotel.

Our stay at Kirishima Onsen Ryokojin Sanso was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is beautifully situated on a hill and easily accessible by car. The spacious rooms and amazing onsen facilities were impressive, especially the private outdoor onsen in the forest, which we enjoyed in the evening when it was dark – a truly phenomenal experience. The authentic food was another highlight, beautifully presented and truly delicious. We highly recommend Kirishima Onsen Ryokojin Sanso for anyone seeking a serene and authentic Japanese onsen experience.

Faciliteiten: Het voormalige Royal Hotel, waarvan de westvleugel alleen aan de buitenkant is gerenoveerd, heb ik daarom de onlangs gerenoveerde oostvleugel geboekt. De kamers zijn overwegend van hout en de kamers in Japans-westerse stijl met twee eenpersoonsbedden zijn erg mooi. De onsen (warmwaterbron) is een milde zwavelbron en het buitenzwembad is prettig. Het is echter niet de belangrijkste zwavelbron in de omgeving; die zouden waarschijnlijk een meer therapeutische werking hebben. Er is een verwarmd zwembad, tennis- en basketbalvelden, een speelkamer en een kinderspeelplaats. Netheid: Goed Omgeving: Gelegen naast Takachiho Ranch, bevindt het hotel zich op een heuvel en biedt het uitzicht op Sakurajima in het zuiden, waardoor het een goede plek is om de zonsondergang te bekijken. Service: Goed. Er zijn semi-elektrische fietsen te huur, momenteel gratis.

Een schoon, modern en mooi hotel. Het ontwerp en de decoratie is mooi. We hadden een comfortabele rustige nacht.

This is the most expensive hotel I stay in my 8 days trip in Kagoshima, however, the quality of the hotel, whether in terms of the hardware or software, does not match with the price. The most astonishing thing is I was told I need to set the bed by myself as that is not included in the hotel service of my room type and I was never informed when I placed my booking. Really beyond my understanding of the basic service of a proper hotel.
