"De hoofdstraat van Zhaoxing Dong Village is een plek met een sterke commerciële inslag, maar Biyin heeft slim gekozen voor een locatie halverwege de heuvel, waar het rustig is te midden van alle drukte. "Ik reisde op 1 mei van Chongqing naar Guiyang en heb dit hotel geboekt. Het personeel nam een paar dagen voor vertrek telefonisch contact met mij op, wat zeer attent was. Ook de plaatselijke temperatuur werd meegedeeld. Na aankomst in Guiyang is het ook erg handig om van het treinstation naar het hotel te komen, met directe toegang tot de metro. De ontvangst bij de receptie was bijzonder goed toen ik incheckte, en de algehele inrichting was opvallend. Er zijn elke dag zelfbedieningsfruit en snacks, de pap is bijzonder lekker en de kamer is ook geweldig. Er werden ook oogmaskers en gezichtsmaskers voorbereid. Bedankt voor de attente gastvrijheid. Het was een zeer gedenkwaardige reis naar Guiyang."

"Over het algemeen is het een redelijk goede B&B, maar er zijn veel details die verbeterd moeten worden. Ten eerste is de ligging goed: het duurt minder dan tien minuten om van de hogesnelheidslijn af te stappen. Ten t****e ligt het heel dicht bij verschillende bezienswaardigheden aan de hoofdstraat, de voetgangersstraten, enz. Het raam van de kamer die we boekten is het kenmerkende gebouw van het dorp Zhaoxing Dong. Ten derde is het meisje bij de receptie erg hartelijk en vriendelijk. Ze introduceerde de verschillende attracties en projecten geduldig en zorgvuldig, en ze is erg verantwoordelijk. Maar er zijn een paar punten waarop gelet moet worden: Ten eerste is de geluidsisolatie te slecht! "Very ideal spot located near the mall that leads to famous spots and the dolphin shopping mall. However, the lift that takes you up to the 41st floor, where the hotel is, is in a basement level and you have so many stairs going down to it. There is no way for the heavy luggage to be transported. You will have to take the down the stairs yourself. So be prepared 😅
Oh and I booked a room with a hot tub but the tub wasn’t working💔"

After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. "First of all, I would like to compliment the lady boss, Ms. Chen and Madam Liu for their thoughtfulness, hospitality and kindness during our 2 nights stay in the homestay.
We were allocated 2 room units at level 5 for a 2 x double bed size and 1 x queen bed size for my family.
The homestay had installed a lift to provide the guests easy access to their allocated room unit without carrying heavy luggage bags up to the upper level which I discovered other homestay units don't provide such facilities.
The staff are most helpful and always there to provide assistance in particular when I need to clean my dirty laundry, the owner offered their assistance to help with laundry service and dry out hanging while we can go for our mountain outing at ease. Also, they took an initiative to prepare the necessary personal items like a walking stick and rain coat before you set off to the mountain trekking to save us from unnecessary spending of such expenses. Such a kind gesture is appreciated as the items may be a one time usage.
Overall, our stay was extremely wonderful and satisfying which I personally recommend huanlin guesthouse and I will definitely reserve the same guesthouse should I will made a visit to Fanjinshan again."

"Love this place 😘. Everything that I ever wanted to live in an ancient town, this place has ALL to offer. The basement mall is just outside the ancient city where shopping and food malls even a large sized supermarket are all within reach. Matcha cafe is also just 2 minutes walk away from the hotel.
The rooms are spacious and well decorated.

Guest UserAn absolutely wonderful stay! This guesthouse is incredibly well-designed; even the smallest details are eye-catching. Both the rooms and common areas were spotless, and all the in-room amenities were from high-end brands.
I initially booked this place because of their dog and cat, knowing my child loves playing with dogs. It turned out to be a great decision – my child spent a large part of our stay playing with 'Fatty' (the guesthouse's dog) and a little white dog from next door. The guesthouse also has a swimming pool, which kept the little one entertained. The garden by the pool is truly amazing – quiet, scenic, and shaded by large trees. Lying there was incredibly cool and the breeze was so relaxing. My father-in-law just intended to wander by the pool, but he got so comfortable on a chair that he couldn't get up and ended up falling asleep! 😂
As for the hostess, from the moment we arrived, we could feel her thoughtfulness and kindness. For example, seeing that we had a child, she preemptively pushed the twin beds together for us. The complimentary fruit in the room was abundant and of excellent quality, unlike the often perfunctory welcome fruit at some hotels. Because we had an early departure, she also arranged for staff to prepare breakfast for us ahead of time the next morning. The recommendations she gave for dining and a spot to catch fish were also fantastic.
Before leaving, I told the hostess that we hadn't had enough fun and hoped to stay again if we have the chance. Xingyi is truly a lovely place, and the people we met were all wonderful.

Ambience: The room window overlooks a beautiful rice paddy field. The location is quiet at the end of the village, making it convenient for visiting Tang'an.
Cleanliness: Clean, no odors.
Service: Excellent. The included shuttle service is extremely convenient. Before your arrival, the customer service will provide recommendations for local food and attractions, as well as some travel tips. The breakfast is good, and the coffee is delicious. The first load of minibar items is free.
It's a perfect place to relax and unwind; it's very relaxing.

Guest UserHighly recommend this guesthouse! The room offers an amazing view – you can overlook the entire Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village without even stepping out. Enjoy the scattered stilt houses during the day and wait for the thousands of lights to illuminate the village in the evening, all without having to brave the crowds at the observation deck. The host thoughtfully provides complimentary afternoon tea, making it incredibly pleasant to just sit back and enjoy the view. What truly stood out was the butler service; they waited for us at the West Gate of the scenic area in advance to help with our luggage and were warm, attentive, and answered all our questions throughout our stay. This experience exceeded our expectations. This is definitely our top choice for Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village!

We arrived in Xijiang and were immediately met with such a kind surprise—they upgraded our room for my birthday, which truly set the tone for our entire stay. We were on the third floor with the most wonderful view, looking out over their little water feature and the village beyond. Our balcony, complete with a tea set and two chairs, quickly became one of our favorite spots. Sitting there, especially in the evening, felt magical—like we were nestled among the stars overlooking the town.
The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the viewing platform and easily accessible down into the main village. Arriving was also incredibly smooth. As first-time visitors to China, we were quite nervous navigating trains and logistics as English speakers, but the hotel staff stepped in early with clear, thoughtful guidance. From the very beginning, they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind.
When we arrived at the North Gate after taking the shuttle into the scenic area, a staff member met us and carried both of our bags up the hill and stairs to the accommodation. This was such a thoughtful gesture—especially because the terrain can be challenging. (For future travelers: if possible, avoid bringing heavy suitcases—but if you do, you’ll be very well taken care of here.)
Check-in was seamless, and our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed. They provided water, soft robes, and made communication very easy via WeChat. Breakfast was also a highlight—we opted for the Chinese breakfast, which was light, healthy, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring all the incredible street food in town.
We especially loved the communal living space—a cozy café-style area with a balcony overlooking the village. It was such a peaceful place to sit, have tea, and take in the views both during the day and under the night sky. They also had everything you could need: a coffee maker, dishes, mugs, and even fresh spring water, which was a lovely touch.
The warmth of the people here truly made the experience unforgettable. The housekeeping staff were so kind, and the younger staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just staying at a hotel. And the little cats around the property made it even more special.
On our departure day, we were running late for the last bus, and one of the younger staff members carried my very heavy bag down the hill and practically ran with it to make sure we made it on time. He stayed with us until we were safely on board. That level of care and service is something we will never forget.
We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, thank you, thank you again to the family and the entire staff for your kindness and for taking such wonderful care of us. You made our short stay in Xijiang an absolute pleasure and a weekend we will remember forever.

Michelle22I booked very early to stay 9 nights to rest from the 5/1 busy holiday crowd for my one month travel in this region of China. The first week of my stay turned out to be a wonderful encounter of sorts. Two different ladies I met during my Feb trip to Shaxi, Yunnan decided to join me in Xingyi during their 5/1 holiday. I explained my new stay situation to the lady owner and very readily she arranged for us to stay in the 3 bedroom during their visit and move me back to my original booking after they left. Her flexibility and adaptability is impressive. We hit it off immediately and my 2 friends from different parts of China also experienced her kindness and super hospitality. All of us also received a thoughtful parting gift from her.
Because the homestay was firstly built as a home, all amenities you can think of for a comfortable home is in each room. There is a good brand water purifier that emits drinking water at useful set temperatures for boiling, coffee, baby or room. There is a fridge within the room and any extra cookwares can be provided as needed. The room is also a Smarthome, I was delighted that xiaoai tongxue could understand my weird Chinese pronunciation. The bed and furnishings are top notched. I slept very well and deeply every night. I also used the Haier washing machine, make sure not to pour too much washing detergent as it is a high efficent machine.
I am very grateful to be invited for meals whenever I'm at my room. It was very heart warming to witness the big heartedness of the lady owner. She gave me the feeling of coming home to a family that I never knew I have. I felt rested and so much at ease staying at this beautiful home that I was dragging my feet when it is time to leave. I think for my future travels, I will consider visiting for at least a week's rest, since its location is so accessible via either airport or highspeed train station.
There is also a medical wellness shop next door. Best way to fully experience the life at this homestay is to show up for a free foot soak to understand the traditional chinese medicine concept of wellness and talk to their customers to learn of their recovery experiences.
In summary, I highly recommend this homestay when you want to rest in a well designed city like Xingyi and to experience the friendliness of Guizhou people. The weather in Xingyi is also very conducive for good living. A good life should be lived and experienced like this; everyday making a point to eat well together, having good conversations and laughs, with love. Here, the connections are real.

This time I came to Maolan Forest to play, and the homestay I booked completely exceeded expectations. It was definitely a surprise choice for this trip! First of all, the sanitary condition is particularly reassuring. The room is spotless, and the towels and toiletries are neatly arranged. It can be seen that the cleaning is very careful. It is really rare to be so clean in the mountains. The boss is very enthusiastic and really started to help me ask about carpooling and arrange the itinerary before I arrived. You can also eat freshly made farmhouse meals, and the taste is authentic. The boss will also arrange pick-up and drop-off when going to the attractions, and will also ask to drink local wine when eating. The most important thing is that the price is really affordable. This price can live in such a clean, service-friendly room in the scenic spot, and the price/performance ratio is directly full. The location is also convenient, not far from Qinglongtan and Wuyan Bridge, you can walk to the hiking entrance in a few minutes. Next time I come to Maolan, I will definitely stay here, I really recommend it to friends who come to play!

So glad we chose this guesthouse for New Year's Eve! There wasn't much open in Zunyi city, and the owner here actually invited all the guests to a reunion dinner – so incredibly welcoming. The room was great too, with a large balcony that offered a view of most of the festivities. If you don't want to be in the thick of the crowd, watching the 'iron flower' show from the room actually gives you a better view. The room had a heater, so it was super warm in winter. Coming back to a cozy room after freezing outside at the show was fantastic. The hygiene was excellent, on par with Hanting or Atour. We also had the sour fish soup in the guesthouse the next day; it was a generous portion and not expensive at all. Highly recommend staying here!

ZkkzqqThis is a fantastic guesthouse! I don't usually like staying in guesthouses because I always feel the environment and cleanliness are disappointing. This time, however, I wanted to see the night view of the Miao Village, so I had no choice but to stay within the scenic area. I chose two listed guesthouses and compared them before booking Yue She. It certainly didn't disappoint! First, their service was incredibly thoughtful. Even at 9 pm, they sent two staff members to pick us up at the North Gate, help with our luggage, and show us the way. The hotel's exterior is unassuming, but the interior is surprisingly spacious and charming. Sitting on the terrace in my room, I had a panoramic view of the entire Miao Village at night – absolutely amazing! The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable; you could tell the owners had put a lot of thought into it, paying attention to detail. The lovely receptionist was incredibly warm and attentive, the young butler was also very considerate, and the experienced steward truly touched me, helping us carry our largest suitcase up and down the stairs. The breakfast wasn't lavish, but it tasted like home. Overall, I was very satisfied!

The location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the village and finding local specialty dishes. The front desk and guesthouse staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, promptly addressing any needs and showing great patience and care. The daily complimentary fruit platter was a highlight—diverse, fresh, and deliciously sweet. Our room was spotless and well-organized, feeling spacious and bright. All facilities were well-maintained, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Every aspect exceeded our expectations; the attention to detail was truly impressive, and it offered excellent value for money. It's perfect whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or a short trip. I'll definitely choose this place again when I return to Qianhu Miao Village.
