"This hotel was fantastic! The room was beautiful and the amenities were in very good condition, especially the hot spring bath in the hotel room. The hotel manager was extremely helpful. I didn’t have much planned when I arrived but he gave me great recommendations and even helped me book all the necessary arrangements. The hotel manager is also very knowledgeable about tea and spent a lot of time teaching me about tea. This hotel has a warm, personal feel that you cannot find at large hotels. I definitely recommend staying here."

The hospitality at Aromatic Hotel is exceptional. Even before our arrival, they contacted us with helpful details about check-in and provided valuable information about Yuhu Village. As female travelers, we truly appreciated how attentive, caring, and thoughtful they were throughout our stay.
The most amazing surprise was the room upgrade! They gave us a spacious room with stunning mountain views. It was warm and cozy, thanks to the staff who made sure the heater was on before we arrived. The bed and pillows were incredibly fluffy, and we had the most restful sleep.
A special highlight of the hotel was the adorable cats and kittens—they added such a charming and homely touch to the experience.

Ons verblijf in het Lijiang Shanhai Villa Resort Hotel was absoluut uitzonderlijk! We werden begroet met een adembenemend uitzicht op de Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, direct vanuit onze kamer, waardoor elk moment een visueel genot was. Het hotel ligt in een afgelegen en rustige buurt, perfect voor iedereen die op zoek is naar een rustig toevluchtsoord.
Het hoogtepunt van ons verblijf was de uitstekende service van de dame bij het inchecken (Xiao Mei). Ze was ongelooflijk behulpzaam en deed er alles aan om ons comfort te garanderen. Ze hielp ons niet alleen met al onze wensen, maar reed ons ook naar Lijiang om de lokale avondmarkt te verkennen, waar we genoten van heerlijke lokale delicatessen. Onderweg stopte ze zelfs bij de prachtige Lijiang Cherry Blossom Avenue zodat we een paar prachtige foto's konden maken.
Over het algemeen was de gastvrijheid die we ontvingen eersteklas en we vertrokken met een zeer tevreden gevoel. Ik kan deze plek van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een rustig toevluchtsoord met uitzonderlijke service!"

He also provided guides and tips on how to travel around the Erhai Lake. The view from our accommodations was also facing the Erhai Lake directly, as per the photo guides while booking. 10 out of 10 will recommend to anybody looking to stay around East side of Erhai Lake."

"來大理拍婚紗照，看了好久選了這家，哇塞，言語形容不出來的棒，提前幾天打電話給老闆，老闆非常非常熱情。當天因為一早的飛機，老闆也早早在機場等着了，老闆真的太帥氣了！一開始聽聲音還以為是00後。到了民宿後，老闆貼心地跟我們介紹當地好吃避坑的店，租車方面也幫忙介紹溝通。環境方面也是相當的好，陽台正對就是洱海，老闆免費給我們升級了房型。每次出門前跟玩完回來都跟能看到老闆坐在茶桌前，跟老闆喝茶聊天真感覺太棒了，跟回自己家一樣。中間因拍婚紗照有包住在其他酒店住了一天還不習慣沒睡着，所以拍完當天又到回來住。住了4.5天還有點捨不得，唉，現在返程路上也是回味惆悵，期待下次的大理之行😭，下次來肯定還住這裏。"

JJesmine ChuaWe absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City.
The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions.
What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere.
A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of.
Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases.
For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us.
Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨

GGuest UserLocated in a residential complex, the front desk staff came out to collect our luggage as soon as we parked. We checked in quickly and were taken to our room.
The balcony was a nice touch, but beware of mosquitoes.
The room was quite comfortable, with a sofa.
However, because it's so close to Dianchi Lake, you can hear the sounds from the late-night snack stalls. If you need extra quiet, be careful not to stay near the road.
But it's certainly close to Dianchi Lake.
As for breakfast, it was beautiful, and it was a lovely experience to eat in the garden.
Also, takeout is convenient and the food is delicious.

RRongtuMy mom and I came to Lijiang, and I booked this hotel on a whim the day before we left. I never expected it would lead to such a wonderful experience! This was my first time visiting Yunnan, and I fell in love with the place, largely thanks to staying at such a comfortable hotel. The location is quite easy to find, right on the square in Yuhu Village, so you don't have to walk a lot on cobblestone paths, and it's also very convenient for catching a taxi.
**Environment:** Waking up every day and opening the curtains to see the snow-capped mountains was truly healing. You can enjoy the snow mountain view from the guest rooms, the courtyard, and the restaurant. The hotel has been open for a while, but the facilities are well-maintained. The only minor issue was that the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, and a slight drawback was that some of the essential oil bottles for the aromatherapy activity were empty. I hope they can be refilled promptly.
**Service:** The front desk staff were very welcoming. When we couldn't find a certain photo spot, they shared their location and came to guide us. I participated in the evening tea ceremony around the fireplace for three consecutive nights. It wasn't crowded, but the atmosphere was great, with warm roasted milk, local specialty rice sausages, and Erkuai (rice cakes), plus some snacks to munch on. Chatting by the fire with the front desk lady and the local Naxi ethnic minority male staff member was delightful; all the staff had really pleasant personalities, which made it very enjoyable.
Personally, I think staying here is much quieter and more pleasant than staying in the ancient town. I highly recommend it to friends who prefer a slower pace of travel and don't like crowds! I hope to come back for a second visit during mushroom picking season or the Torch Festival!

GGuest UserThe most satisfying two nights in Yunnan, I am more used to staying in hotels, but Fengli B&B is indeed the right choice!
Location: The taxi positioning is accurate. Behind the official hotel, there is a very quiet homestay area, and takeaways can be delivered.
Environment: clean, warm, emotional, willing to work hard in the details, sincerity is the boss's hospitality, every time I meet, I will greet you warmly ～
Facilities: The twin room has a large space, the bedding is super comfortable, the pillows kill most hotels in seconds, the central air-conditioning ＋ wall-mounted air-conditioning, and the toiletries are dreamed back to college time in one second. Weight scales, sewing boxes, nail clippers, floss, masks, earplugs, etc. are available! There are two washing machines and one dryer in the common area, which can be used by self-service.
Service: Drinking water, soda, snacks, fruit are all provided free of charge. Breakfast is served in the small restaurant with sour seeds and sugar. There are freshly cooked bait silk and rice noodles. The coffee is delicious! Please ask the boss to arrange a car drop-off in advance, and received a warm souvenir on the day of departure.～
Because the itinerary is tight, we basically leave early and return late, and we have not been able to experience the slow life of the homestay, but it does not affect my determination to strongly recommend Fengli!

GGuest UserMy time here was truly life-changing. The hotel was truly exceptional. We arrived from Dali with high expectations and they were certainly met. The rooms were spacious, the location wasn't too crowded so we felt like we had a lot of space to ourselves. But most importantly, our host, Sun, was truly an incredible soul. She was there for us on every moment and we could always send her a wechat message for anything we needed. She ended up really taking care of us in more ways than one. I would definitely recommend this place when you're staying in Lijiang. It's very hard to beat.

She made sure my parents were well-prepared for the high altitude conditions, which gave us great peace of mind. Her ”insider” advice on avoiding tourist traps and finding authentic local dining was invaluable. Every morning, she prepared a simple, nutritious breakfast that was the perfect, healthy start for my parents' day.
The villa has a warm, welcoming vibe that made my parents feel entirely at home and comfortable. If you are traveling with seniors or looking for a stress-free, authentic experience in Lijiang, this is the perfect place!

GGuest UserI was too busy a few days ago and didn't have time to give a good review. I originally booked the one next to them, but when I arrived I found this store. I casually looked at the lobby at the door and decisively chose this one. Fortunately, I was not disappointed. Their hygiene is very clean, and the supplies they provide are of high quality. Even the paper is heart-to-heart. Generally, only star-rated hotels will control these details. It is really good and cost-effective. I will stay in this store often in the future

GGuest UserIf I had to rate it, I'd give it a perfect 100! The timing of my visit wasn't ideal – it was rainy and overcast – but that didn't detract from the hotel experience at all. The owner is incredibly nice, and their cats and dogs are just as lovely. Regarding some negative reviews about this room, I can only say the good far outweighs the bad. There might have been some noise from an air conditioning unit outside early in the morning, I'm not entirely sure what it was, but it really didn't bother me. Looking out at the sea view from inside the room created an indescribably pleasant atmosphere. For its price point, I personally believe this hotel is a standout among others in the same range, especially in Dali. The owner really makes the difference; chatting with them was so comfortable, and they even offered helpful travel tips. All in all, this hotel was the highlight of my trip!

MM283639****We booked it on October 1st. The view from the room was amazing, beyond our expectations! The door opened directly onto Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. The kids were blown away when they opened the door and were very excited. 🥹The boss picked us up from the high-speed rail station, which was very convenient. The breakfast was also delicious, and there were three super cute kittens in the restaurant. 🥹 I will definitely come again next time.
