"Hotel is close to the beach and staff are helpful but the carpet feels dirty on my feet and there were some yellow spatter marks on the walls in the bathroom. The AC had a hard time getting below 24 so I definitely woke up sweating a few times but they came and looked at it the second day and it was slightly better down to 22. The view and room were nice I appreciated the sofa/ living area but the couch did have several stains. The hotel bar /cafe didn’t have many food options but drinks were pretty good. Breakfast was good and had many options."

"Service, personeel en prijs…. Alles is perfect! Ik heb vier dagen in dit geweldige hotel verbleven en was diep onder de indruk van de gastvrijheid en de kwaliteit van de service die het hotel bood. Van binnen en van buiten kraakhelder en de huishoudsters waren super behulpzaam en gastvrij! Ik kom zeker terug in de toekomst en raad het aan mijn vrienden aan die naar Shijiazhuang, China komen. Als ik iets moet zeggen dat verbeterd moet worden, zou ik willen voorstellen dat het hotelmanagement wat strenger is voor de gasten die halfnaakt in het restaurant zitten voor het ontbijtbuffet. Ik begrijp dat ze misschien gewoon naar buiten komen in de gezellige en hete sauna. Maar ook openbare fatsoensregels moeten in acht worden genomen en getoond. Trouwens, ik heb een videoclip gemaakt van de halfnaakte mannelijke gast in het restaurant en de hotelmedewerker die op zijn zij staat met een shirt in zijn handen en probeert de man ervan te overtuigen het aan te trekken. Nadat ik het op TikTok heb geplaatst, is het in twee uur tijd wereldwijd meer dan 5000 keer bekeken!"

"An attractive hotel in a former imperial complex (a library or something like that) offering large, clean rooms. It's up on the side of a hill but taxis/rideshare will take you to the front door. Also it's very close to the town center and is a short ride to the temples that are of interest in Chengde. They have a decent breakfast at the onsite restaurant, and a dinner service featuring local dishes that are supposed to be similar to what an emperor might have eaten. So you can dine like an emperor, for a fee. The large deer roaming the grounds stare at your with the big, sad eyes, obviously looking for a handout, but don't fall for it as there's plenty of grass. There was some construction going on, seems the buildings are being refurbished, but it did not really interfere with our stay. Signs in English and English-speaking staff at the front desk."

"You know how hotels always say they’re excellent? Yeah, this one actually is. The location? Perfect. The service? Spot-on. The breakfast buffet? Let’s just say I had three plates and started considering moving in. They’ve got laundry rooms (so you don’t have to do that weird sink-scrubbing thing), shuttles that actually show up, and staff who somehow stay cheerful before noon. We absolutely loved our stay - comfortable, easy, and full of carbs. Would 100% stay again… assuming they don’t ban me from the buffet station, 😆"

"Everting is good ,1st time I came into China as a Muslim business man, I found this hotel have HALAL food options in a breakfast as well, location near to all my required factories. One thing management need to focus on: 1- smoking is everywhere almost although they have displayed the sign ,”no smoking “ but no one care even hotel staff as well especially breakfast time staff also does smoking which gives me anxiety and sickness as a non smoker . In rooms people are smoking as well. It’s very good hotel but no following the rules non smoking . Next to the hotel is halal restaurant is available as well for lunch and dinner. Important thing they have prayer room as well."

The transportation is very convenient. If you don't want to drive, you can take the high-speed train. The hotel offers a free shuttle service from Taizicheng High-Speed Rail Station, which takes only 10 minutes to reach the hotel, super convenient! The hotel staff are very friendly, always smiling, and very welcoming. Bottled drinking water is provided in unlimited quantities, and the room is very clean. There's also a small balcony where adults can enjoy a drink and the scenery, which is very pleasant.

Had a fantastic stay! The hotel staff were all incredibly professional and had excellent attitudes. The room was spotless and very tidy. The hotel breakfast was also delicious and offered a wide variety. There's a Chinese restaurant on the second floor where you can grab lunch and dinner. The hotel's location is superb, very close to the Mountain Resort and other attractions. Right next to the hotel is a famous night market with a rich assortment of stalls. The restaurants nearby are also very comprehensive, offering a chance to try Chengde's local specialties.

The views are fantastic! On the day of departure, the front desk even sent a text message with directions for driving there, which was incredibly thoughtful and considerate. It took about two hours to drive from Beijing to the hotel. We pre-registered our car and were able to park it in the parking lot. They even have fast-charging stations. We also pre-booked the public hot spring and enjoyed the Eye Stone hot spring. The breakfast quality was also excellent. I highly recommend coming here for the experience!

What I liked most about this stay was front desk staff An Xiaorui. She greeted me with a warm smile as soon as I walked in, and her voice was gentle and polite. The check-in process was very quick, so I didn't have to wait long. She also thoroughly explained details about breakfast, the elevators, and local transportation. When I had questions later, she was incredibly patient and proactively helped coordinate my requests, showing genuine care throughout. Her professional and heartwarming service significantly enhanced my stay, and I absolutely have to give a special shout-out to An Xiaorui!

This stay truly exceeded all expectations. As foreigners visiting Zhangjiakou in December for the first time for both travel and skiing, the overall experience couldn’t have been better — it was absolutely top-notch 👍. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with a sense of warmth and genuine hospitality. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They immediately noticed that we were traveling with children and had quite a bit of luggage, and proactively offered assistance, which made us feel very well cared for right away. The dining experience was equally impressive. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options to suit different tastes, and the availability of late-night snacks was a wonderful bonus, especially after a long day of skiing. Overall, whether it was the attention to detail at the front desk, the comfort and quality of the accommodation, or the excellent food and beverage service, this hotel truly delivered on all fronts. It’s absolutely an ideal choice for families traveling with children, and we would highly recommend Atour to anyone visiting Zhangjiakou.

Bad check in service at front counter lady. Seems more occupied with her task than guest service. I have to call and request for our sofa bed to be open. Given we book and indicated a family of 4, unlike other hotels whom immediately arrange all additional required items such as toothbrushs, slippers, towels, water, etc. Here I have to call to request for each items. The wifi doesn't work. I have to physically bring my laptop to the front desk for assistance.. and even that was not able to connect. Breakfast, average as the food are abit hard - hard noodles, hotdogs, breads.. Only cons is location near to ski and restaurants but so are a few hotels nearby. Free scheduled public bus shuttle to/fro train station, have to walk about 7 mins to the bus stop. As a Hyatt member, this is the worse Hyatt Place hotels I stayed. I believe surrounding hotels will have better guest services and competitive price too.

The hotel is very popular and is fully booked every day during the summer, but the response of manager Wang Zeyu is very quick. The room type booked this time comes with a private hot spring. The hotel's attached dining and hot springs are very good and can meet the diverse needs of customers.

Taiwoo really stepped up their game this year! They've added a dedicated hotel lounge on the second floor of the 4-chair lift equipment hall, plus there's the 'Little Donkey Paradise' and the 'Mini Donkey' near the 4-chair lift. Free parking and discounted ski passes make it perfect for family trips (as long as it's not too windy!). I always book either Pasture Hotel or Xue Lu Ju; the rooms are practically identical. The living room is great if you want to bring a hot pot for a cozy meal, and both hotels have hot springs – amazing! This time, I booked a two-bedroom unit, which was very spacious. The only downsides were that one of the shower drains was completely clogged, forcing me to rush through a five-minute shower with water pooling around my feet. Also, one sink didn't have a soap dish, and the water was a bit cloudy. The room wasn't very warm overall; we had to rely on both the AC and heater. Even with a humidifier running, it was incredibly dry, but that seems to be a common issue in Chongli, and there's no real solution for it. Overall, I'd recommend it for families with kids.

Beidaihe Jourton Manor Hotel ✨ An Absolutely Stunning Vacation Experience Finally checked into the Beidaihe Jourton Manor Hotel, which I've been longing to visit! 🏰 This place is truly a vacation paradise! The hotel is located in Beidaihe, and the rooms are incredibly spacious. We were personally escorted to our room by a butler, and they even gave a bubble machine to the kids. The front desk also has basketballs, soccer balls, and other toys available for borrowing. There are many children's play areas. The most delightful surprise was the manor-style design ⛲️, with a huge lawn and a European garden. Afternoon tea here was incredibly relaxing ☕️, truly a taste of aristocratic living!

This time, I stayed at a B&B within the Azure Coast park. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, so the location is absolutely fantastic. With its incredibly long beach, you can take photos, go mudflat exploring, or just relax. It's an all-in-one seaside destination, and the experience was perfect 💯
