Het appartement is goed onderhouden, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er is handige ondersteuning beschikbaar en u kunt uw spullen voor en na uw verblijf in een opslagruimte achterlaten. Er is een supermarkt in de buurt en een kledingwinkel onder het appartement. Ook zijn er tal van cafés in de omgeving.

Een teleurstellend verblijf
Allereerst brachten de medewerkers herhaaldelijk de kamerprijs in rekening en gaven ze inconsistente beschrijvingen van het geld (gelukkig heeft de klantenservice van Ctrip dit actief gecommuniceerd en geprezen!) Ten t****e zijn de kamerfaciliteiten niet erg nieuw en is de netheid gemiddeld (zoals blijkt uit de foto). Bij communicatie met het hotel over de bovenstaande kwesties is de houding van het hotelpersoneel over het algemeen nadat ze boos zijn geworden. Alleen met de houding om het probleem op te lossen, heb ik het ontbijt cadeau gedaan. Hoe dan ook, het is niet bijzonder aan te raden.
We moeten ons concentreren op het prijzen van de klantenservice van Ctrip omdat deze zeer efficiënt is, problemen actief oplost en belastingen en toeslagen terugbetaalt.

We hadden een junior suite geboekt voor ons gezin van vier. De kamer was behoorlijk ruim en de kinderen waren dol op het bubbelbad. Het personeel was vriendelijk en gastvrij. De service was uitstekend. De locatie was ook geweldig, met de metro direct voor de deur. Het uitzicht over Athene vanaf het dakterras was ook fantastisch... een geweldige manier om ons verblijf in Athene af te sluiten, met een prachtig overzicht van alle bezienswaardigheden die we hadden bezocht. Het enige minpuntje was de parkeergelegenheid. Hoewel het hotel parkeergelegenheid heeft, zijn er maar weinig parkeerplaatsen en was het hotel vol toen we aankwamen. Ik moest op straat parkeren. De eerste avond had ik geluk en vond ik vrij snel een parkeerplek op slechts zes minuten lopen van het hotel. De t****e avond duurde het bijna een uur om een parkeerplek te vinden. Er was betaald parkeren aan de overkant van de straat, maar daar konden we met onze grote auto niet parkeren. Een ander klein probleempje met onze kamer was dat de wind 's ochtends vroeg tegen de deur blies als andere gasten uitcheckten... omdat onze kamer een hoekappartement was. Het klonk alsof er iemand op onze deur sloeg en dat maakte me wakker. Het duurde even voordat ik doorhad dat het geklop op de deur door de wind kwam en niet door een grappenmaker.

Een eenvoudig hotel gelegen in de wijk Omonia. De prijs is inderdaad aantrekkelijk, maar dit wordt gerechtvaardigd door de nabijheid van dit gebied, dat niet erg druk is. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is interessant en u kunt te voet in ongeveer tien minuten terugkeren naar het centrum. De kamer is eenvoudig, heeft comfortabele bedden en de badkamer is groot en goed ingericht.

Het hotel is gunstig gelegen nabij metrostation Omonia. We konden alle bezienswaardigheden in Athene te voet bereiken. De buurt is niet de meest aangename, maar ook niet gevaarlijk. Het hotel is onlangs gerenoveerd, dus de voorzieningen zijn in uitstekende staat, met uitzondering van de geluidsisolatie. De kamers bevonden zich op de begane grond en we hadden soms het gevoel dat we buiten sliepen vanwege het lawaai van auto's, motoren en mensen. We waren teleurgesteld over het gebrek aan Franse zenders op de tv (alleen TV5 Monde en TV Monaco). Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en bij de prijs inbegrepen, en er is een kleine koelkast met twee gratis flesjes water. Al met al een zeer goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Iedereen was super behulpzaam en vriendelijk, de voorzieningen waren super schoon en de sfeer was cool. Ik moet zeggen dat het een van de beste hostels is waar ik ooit heb verbleven.
Het zwembad was een geweldige bonus voor een zomerdag in Athene, ik vond het geweldig!

Ik kreeg een erg rokerige kamer. Ik moest twee dagen lang de dikke stank verdragen. De kamer was extreem donker, zonder goede verlichting. Er was een grote spiegel, maar het was moeilijk om make-up op te doen vanwege de duisternis. Het grootste nadeel was het ontbreken van een fatsoenlijk modern dekbed en dekbedovertrek. Er lag alleen een laken en een lichte sprei bovenop – volkomen onhygiënisch. En in de kast lag een winterdeken – een oude, dikke, kriebelende en ruige. Die verkopen ze niet eens meer!
Maar het ontbijt was goed, alles was aanwezig! En er waren twee metrostations in de buurt. De kamer werd zorgvuldig schoongemaakt. De rooftopbar had een geweldig uitzicht op de Akropolis. Over het algemeen was de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding redelijk.

Het hotel is gloednieuw, de inrichting is zeer modern en alle faciliteiten zijn aanwezig, waaronder een waterkoker, slippers, tandenborstels etc. Het ligt relatief dichtbij de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden, maar een bus nemen scheelt moeite. Een vijfdaags buskaartje in Athene kost slechts 8,4 euro. Al met al ben ik zeer tevreden, het is echt kosteneffectief!

De kamer is groot en goed uitgerust zodat u zelf uw maaltijden kunt bereiden. De locatie ligt zeer dicht bij de metro en de Akropolis, gemakkelijk te lopen. Er zijn ook veel winkels beneden. aanbevelen. Er zijn ook twee USB-oplaadpunten voor mobiele telefoons in de kamer, wat erg handig is

I read the word of mouth and knew that the facilities were old, so it was within the acceptable range at all. After all, the cost performance was good.
It was good that slippers were prepared.
There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, so I didn't have any trouble during my stay.
I didn't go to the rooftop bar, but the view looked good.

We stayed at NYX Esperia Palace Athens for four full days – two couples, each in an Executive Suite with access to the business lounge.
The welcome was warm and efficient, and we received our rooms exactly at 3:00 PM, as per hotel policy. The suites were clean, stylish, and well-equipped with amenities such as disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, loofahs, a hairdryer, and more. One of our suites, located on the 7th floor, even had a partial view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely bonus.
The room’s climate, lighting, and curtains were all operated through digital controls, designed to pamper guests — although, in practice, they were not very intuitive and required a bit of trial and error. For instance, turning off the bedside light required getting up and walking to a control panel.
The TV included Israeli channels (11, 12, and 13), which we appreciated. Breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, and the waiter service was above average.
One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional care provided by Ilia, the hotel's Public Relations Manager. She guided us almost from the moment we arrived until we left — recommending excellent tavernas, booking taxis, restaurants, and arranging a private guided tour. On our last day, we were also warmly greeted by Dionysia in the lounge — charming and attentive.
That said, there were some drawbacks:
Reception service was inconsistent – not all staff members were welcoming; some appeared cold or offered forced smiles.
The business lounge was disappointing – small, crowded, with modest food and drink offerings and uninspiring seating. It felt more like a repurposed room than a proper lounge.
The pools require advance reservation, with no room for spontaneity. Usage hours are segmented (e.g., 1–4 PM or 4–7 PM), and spots after 7 PM are very limited. The rooftop pool area is crowded, and the adjacent restaurant is also open to non-guests.
Rooftop restaurant experience: One evening we returned from a night out and hoped to enjoy a drink with a view. Although two front-row tables overlooking the Acropolis were available, we were initially told they were reserved. Minutes later, we were informed we could sit there for a €25 minimum spend per person. The sudden shift from ”reserved” to ”available for a price” was off-putting — especially as hotel guests staying in suites.
The guided tour recommended by the hotel involved nearly 4 hours of driving during a 5-hour trip, leaving us with very little time at each stop. We suggest skipping it.
Bottom line:
The hotel is modern, very clean, and the suites are luxurious. Service is mostly excellent, particularly thanks to Ilia and Dionysia. However, don't count on spontaneous access to the pool or rooftop restaurant — enjoying those requires planning ahead, much like booking a theater show. If you value well-designed suites and structured experiences, this hotel may be a great fit. If you’re looking for flexibility and full-day pampering from hotel facilities — you might find it a bit limiting.

AAlexandraI traveled to Athens for a business reason. The room was in the center, spacious near shops for coffee and food. It provides paid parking right next to it, so you don't have to look for a place. The service is amazing and the staff is very kind!! I would definitely choose it again!!!

KKDTINOThe Attalos Hotel is good with everything you need, reception is right at the front door with very helpful and friendly staff, the lifts are small, so only one person and your luggage at a time, but that’s ok. It has the most amazing rooftop with Athens’ best kept secret bar and view of the acropolis that you won’t ever forget. Rooms are good, (we stayed in 507 & 506), not too big, however Athens is old so it’s ok for what you need and I am picky. The bed is comfortable, the linen is clean and fresh towels, the bathroom is small but water is hot and water pressure perfect. Great location, just off a small street and so close to Monastiraki Square in Athens which is less than 100 meters away. Close to a supermarket, cafe’s everywhere (you have to get yourself a real Greek coffee- now that’s a caffeine hit you will need after travelling 😉) and there is amazing authentic Greek Food all around. I recommend Nikos Tavern just pass the church in the square and left up the alley. It one of the oldest, and I was there 32 years ago. You will see all the tables and chairs!! Attalos is walking distance to all the sights you need to see, like the acropolis and museums and train station are right nearby. I will definitely stay here again ever time I visit Athens on my way to the Peloponnese. What a great memory, Thanks guys!!

SSarah JanesThis place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example).
The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible.
Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log.
Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense.
Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.

GGuest UserI was impressed with this hotel for the price I paid. Very centralised, with the metro station right there. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets only steps away. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Though my room was a bit small, it’s all you need. Lots of pillows on the bed. Fluffy towels, and all the great amenities. They give you everything you need, and then some. Free water as well. The breakfast was copious. So much choices. I love the terrace. There are jacuzzis on the terrace! I also ate at the restaurant, which as very good. The staff are very friendly. The deco is cool as well. I’ll come back next time I’m in Athens.

The hotel is right by the sea, offering beautiful views and easy access to the beach. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always making sure I felt comfortable and well cared for. The rooms were modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a relaxing atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the breakfast—it was fresh, delicious, and featured local flavors. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall vibe of the hotel was stylish yet cozy. I’d definitely stay here again!

TThv_teteFirst of all, the hotel staff are so nice incl. receptionists, breakfast lady, room attendants, etc. They all smile at you and greet you, very polite and helpful. We also booked 1 triple room for 3 adults but they gave us 2 double rooms with the same price of course although they had to move us to ground floor the 2nd day due to some electrical defaults in one of the rooms as it was newly renovated, which didnt bother us at all. We happily moved. Also free water bottles in the fridge included, all the necessary amenities were there, no kettle to boil water or cups for hot drinks were provided in the room but if you ask them, hot water provided at the hotel reception 24/7 also free tea, coffee and hot water for all guests provided from 3-9pm! Rooms were decent sized with comfy and clean beds, daily room service, breakfast was good and plenty and included in the room price, so cant complain! More hot food options would have been nice but it was continental which still was adequate. 5/5 stars

GGuest UserFirst of all, the service of the hotel staff is very nice. Although it is in a foreign country, every service staff is very enthusiastic and patient. You can see the Parthenon and Mount Lycabettus from the top floor of the hotel. The hotel's own restaurant is not expensive and the food is delicious. The sunset in the evening is very beautiful. The main problem lies in the hotel room itself. We chose a room with two separate beds and a balcony, but in fact, this hotel does not have a room that meets this condition. Later, after communicating with Ctrip customer service, we got a very satisfactory result. I really want to give a big thumbs up to Ctrip's service! In addition, I would like to remind everyone that the beds abroad are really small. If you choose a room with two beds, most of them are two beds less than one meter long, and they are connected when you check in, so you need to put in some effort to separate them manually.
